POSITION SUMMARY
The Edibles Specialist will execute a variety of laboratory and manufacturing tasks under the direction and supervision of our Edibles Manager. They will be responsible for assisting in product processing and formulation. They complete tasks assigned by the Edibles Manager to operate lab equipment, monitor, and maintain cleanliness and efficiency, and drive quality control while always being compliant. This individual must be able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed. We are looking for an ambitious Edible Specialist (Assistant Cook) to assist in the preparation of unique cannabis infused confections in our kitchen. You are responsible for the daily preparation and production of a variety of cannabis products. They weigh, mix, and combine ingredients based on set recipes and SOP’s, and then cook the ingredients in Kettles, Vats, or ovens. These cooked ingredients are then cut, rolled, or deposited into molds to cool. The cooled product is then transferred to the packaging department to complete the production. Candy makers execute action plans that meet operational and organization objectives in a timely manner.
Candidates must be willing to wear multiple hats and help where needed for the business when there is a lull in cooking. (I.E. PAD/Pop Up Events in Dispensaries, Budtender Training, Retail Audits, Cleaning, Distribution Support, Logistics/Deliveries)

- Communicates timecard changes and PTO/Sick requests in a timely manner
- Reports all injuries and property damage, using the appropriate forms, within 24 hours of the incident.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

A fast-growing Cannabis Processing, Manufacturing and Distribution Company is looking for hardworking and dependable Cannabis Edibles Specialists (Kitchen Associates) for its facility in Vernon, California. Candidates with basic knowledge and understanding of the Cannabis Industry are preferred.
This is a fast-paced, challenging, hands-on position responsible for high-volume production of high-quality cannabis edibles and confections. The selected candidates must be able to fulfill production and market demands while complying with current industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for manufacturing large-scale batches of high-quality edible products and other confectionary products that are infused with cannabis.
- Tasked with supporting and assisting the Kitchen Supervisor(s) and Manager in all aspects of cannabis production and preparation within the department.
- Priorities include proper preparation and execution of recipes, product packaging, and maintaining all kitchen supplies and equipment cleaned and sanitized.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be age 21 or over - California residency with valid ID is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred, particularly in the production of chocolates, gummies and/or candies.
- Previous food assembly line, production experience preferred.
- 1-2 years relevant experience.

The Edibles Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing, packaging, and production of cannabis edible products. They will work as part of a cohesive team to ensure all quality, safety, compliance, and efficiency standards are met across the entire manufacturing process on a daily basis. As part of the larger Operations team, they may be asked to support other aspects of the Operations as business needs dictate.
What You'll Do
- Closely follow all SOPs to support the production of edibles such as gummies and mints.
- Ensure high accuracy in the packaging, labeling, and case packing of product into final consumer packaged goods.
- Maintaining highest level of food safety by cleaning and disinfecting food manufacturing area and all food preparation tools/equipment before and after each use.
- Work effectively as part of a larger team with excellent communication.
- Detail oriented and capable of performing quality control checks throughout the edibles production process.
- Flexibility needed in daily activities such as helping other departments and frequent rotation through product types.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
What You Have
