Job Description
The Regional Director of Compliance ensures that our dispensaries are operating in compliance with state and local rules, regulations, and ordinances. The Regional Director of Compliance will also keep the management team up to date on legal and regulatory matters impacting operations, assist in the development of company policies and standard operating procedures, monitor operations to identify and correct instances of non-compliance, and function as a quasi-independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues and concerns within the Company and conducts regular audits and staff trainings. The person who fills this role will also advise and guide management personnel and employees on applicable local, state, and national laws and regulations, and will be called upon to provide answers to complex questions and help find lawful yet innovative solutions to legal and regulatory issues.
The Regional Director of Compliance will also work with the leadership team to develop and implement replicable processes, policies, and systems related to compliance and ensure their effectiveness. This person will also ensure reporting, registration, filing, and other similar mandatory tasks are completed in a timely fashion and coordinate with management to stay ahead of any future changes in regulations. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain internal compliance and audit controls through checklists, protocols, and other means to ensure operational success.
· Develop and oversee all staff compliance training, including new employee onboarding and continuing training.
· Manage the administration, maintenance, and accuracy of all required reports, documentation and equipment.
· Remain up to date on relevant industry-related and state-mandated laws and regulations, analyze their impact and make recommendations to operations and management to update internal SOPs in accordance with new regulations.
· Perform on-site inspections on a regular basis at dispensaries in Mississippi to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. This includes providing guidance to management on implementing policy and/or process changes to comply with new and/or changes to regulations.
· Oversee any recalls and/or health/public safety issues. This includes reporting to government agencies, developing communication to dispensaries and/or consumers, working with the management team to develop a corrective plan.
· Work with functional leaders to ensure information is communicated and all managers are properly informed of changes to regulations, policies, and procedures in their respective areas.
· Manage the implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the operating units.
· Develop collaborative relationships with the state regulatory agency representatives and regulators.
· Send weekly reports to management with current compliance issues, recommendations, and regulatory updates.
· Document all changes into training manuals and SOPs.
· Respond to management inquires and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

Experience, State Regulatory and/or Education Required:
- College degree or an equivalent level of experience and education
- MED badge
- Advanced METRC training certifications
- 4 years of experience in managing regulatory compliance with MED and City of Denver requirements in a grow production facility
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains, reviews, tracks and archives all product related controlled documents, keeps hard and soft copies of all document flow (including manifest)
- Develop, implement, and modify internal procedures, practices, and communication programs as required by regulation and regulatory changes
- Consistently evaluate possible solutions to Compliance problems and make appropriate recommendations to senior management
- Assists legal team with state, city license tracking
- Audit files and logs to ensure proper record keeping including but not limited to: patient files, pesticide logs, manifest and transfer logs
- Maintains required MED business records filing, i.e., transport manifests, visitor logs, dvr access logs, etc.
- Ensure operations adhere to all state and local regulations including OSHA, Fire Code, CDA, Health Code and other safety and wellness regulations
- Conducts evacuation drills for all facilities company wide
- Conducts compliance audits at cultivation, extraction lab, and dispensary locations
- Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards
- Knowledgable and proactively speaks with regulatory agencies
- Liaise with all city and state inspection entities
- Oversight of company WPS programs including possession of Pesticide applicator license for training purposes
- Monitor compliance systems and DVR/NVRs to ensure their effectiveness
- Records and oversees the removal of green waste and fire code violations
- Oversees the proper handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all medical and recreational cannabis product components. Monitors medical patient count, available tags and vegetation room totals at all facilities
- Adheres to GMP, GLP, HIPPA, and FIPA compliance standards. Implements Standard Operating Procedures for quality and production related topics
- Responsible for obtaining and keeping Fire Department Operational permits, alarm permits, DOA scale licenses and fire extinguisher certification and recertification for all locations
- Perform other official duties as assigned

JOB SUMMARY
FLSA Status: Exempt
The Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance oversees Regulatory and Compliance, providing overall responsibility for compliance with all applicable regulations regarding the legal cultivation, production, and sales of cannabis products. Develops and monitors programs, policies, and practices to ensure that the organization complies on current and new regulations and guidelines. Tracks relevant laws and regulations and directs staff to update operating manuals, and procedural documents in preparation for upcoming regulatory changes. Prepares compliance status reports for internal leadership and regulatory agencies as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Monitor and assess current operations and processes for cannabis-related compliance risks
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
- Assess compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies
- Evaluate all business activities relating to cannabis compliance, including policies, processes, and partnerships
- Conduct or direct the internal investigation of cannabis-related compliance issues
- Monitor and report results of the compliance of the company
- Maintaining knowledge of the company's legal documents and operations.
- Create, implement, and disseminate company policies and procedures as well as establish reliable internal controls regarding cannabis-related regulation
- Maintain and develop KPIs supporting regulatory issues
- Verify that software technology can adequately provide oversight and monitoring in all required areas
- Develop plans for crisis events or compliance violations
- Present audits, data, and procedures to other teams; advise on cannabis-related compliance issues across the company
- Provide reports on a regular on a quarterly basis and as directed or requested, to keep the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership informed of the operation and progress of cannabis-related compliance efforts
- Partner with company leadership to review potential future compliance red flags or risks; leverage strong interpersonal relationships between departments and teams for total compliance monitoring and audits
- Report violations of cannabis-related compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required
- Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes; attend regulatory seminars
- Research and advise on cannabis-related regulations and guidelines in new and potential jurisdictions
- Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of cannabis-related compliance standards
- Verify that all company and regulatory policies and procedures regarding cannabis have been documented, implemented, and communicated
- Proactive in understanding and educating changing regulations, laws, and best practices, as they apply to our business and industry

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Juris Doctor degree.
- 5+ years' experience working in a compliance role in a regulated industry such as cannabis, or pharmaceuticals
- 3+ years' experience in a compliance leadership role, or related position
- High degree of integrity and professional ethics
- Sense of urgency and a bias toward action
- Strong knowledge of the cannabis market regulatory landscape, with proven success in risk management
- Tech savvy and able to advise on the use of software and platforms for compliance related oversight
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to write and edit company policies and communicate effectively with diverse audiences

Position Overview:
This person will ensure the standard operating procedures are in place and are being followed. This person will also keep the company in compliance with all rules and regulations in the most cost-effective and efficient compliant manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Experience with OSHA
- Experience in writing and training team members on implementation of SOPs
- Proven methodical and diligent planning abilities as well as multitasking and project management skills

The Director of Compliance (IL) will manage and maintain compliance priorities for all state assets which include operational and regulatory deadlines. - Submits applications for registration renewals to maintain state licensures
- Works cross functionally with internal teams including Operational team and Real Estate and Facilities team to draft variance requests and operational deadline extension requests
- Prepares and submits documentation required for regulatory inspections and coordinates the inspection process for internal departments and state regulators
- Works cross-functionally with marketing to review collateral to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Investigates and resolves compliance concerns, issues, or violations
- Keeps informed of emerging cannabis regulatory issues, trends, and other developments
- Travels periodically among the Company's multi-state cultivation and dispensary operations
COMPETENCIES:
- Juris Doctorate Degree, preferred
- 1 + years of compliance experience (cannabis) or 3 - 4 years of compliance experience within a heavily regulated industry
- Knowledge or willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience using a project management system like Asana, is a plus.

The Director of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, creating process maps, reviewing, and supporting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivering employee training. In addition, the Director of Compliance will be responsible for supporting the national standardization of processing and manufacturing procedures, technology, and business practices. The Director of Compliance will support ongoing operations, working closely with senior leadership to continuously improve operations. This role will develop key relationships with other teams including, but not limited to: Commercialization, IT, Manufacturing, Operations, and Cultivation.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations in which we currently operate as well as future markets.
Assists in the application process for entering new markets by drafting and editing license applications.
Assist in development and implementation of state-specific Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and oversight regarding compliance requirements. Continuously monitor SOP implementation and operational adherence to written procedures
Perform required audits at all dispensaries operations.
Act as the site coordinator with state regulators and respond to audits and incidents that require regulatory reporting. Identify and oversee internal remediation as necessary, subject to Compliance oversight.
Communicate issues to employees in a clear, consistent, and effective manner.
Effectively and professionally communicate with regulators and inspectors.
Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, and changes in regulations.
Review and submit all product specifications to regulatory authorities for review and approval.
As needed, communicate with regulators on requested changes to the products.
Provide support to product commercialization and development compliance manager to review and approve all proposed product packaging and labeling for compliance with state specific regulations. Make recommendations when needed to Commercialization team.
Review and assist with policy changes and updates applicable to the state.
Assist site leadership with training and qualification procedures for team members.
Monitor sustainment of corrective actions from both internal and external audits.
Partner with operations to ensure preventative maintenance and calibrations are performed for site equipment and instrumentation.
Responsible for new and renewal licensing requirements.
Become proficient in cannabis laws and regulations for applicable states/region.
Promote and lead regulatory change management programs within your compliance leads in every state.

Qualifications:
Regulatory experience or background in one more of the following industries: healthcare, pharma, bio food, cannabis, life sciences, undergraduate degree required
5+ years of relevant experience
CAPA and Change Control program experience highly desired
Advanced MS Office and Excel skills required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Results-driven and task-oriented
Flexible and creative, while maintaining a strong work ethic and the ability to meet critical deadlines
Prioritize under pressure and ability to identify and solve key roadblocks
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally at all levels within the organization, with vendors, and outside stakeholders
Subject to background check per state cannabis requirements

Director of Compliance
Nature's Medicines Dispensary (Amma Investment Group)
The Director of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, creating process maps, reviewing, and supporting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivering employee training. In addition, the Director of Compliance will be responsible for supporting the national standardization of processing and manufacturing procedures, technology, and business practices. The Director of Compliance will support ongoing operations, working closely with senior leadership to continuously improve operations. This role will develop key relationships with other teams including, but not limited to: Commercialization, IT, Manufacturing, Operations, and Cultivation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations in which we currently operate as well as future markets.
- Assists in the application process for entering new markets by drafting and editing license applications.
- Assist in development and implementation of state-specific Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and oversight regarding compliance requirements. Continuously monitor SOP implementation and operational adherence to written procedures
- Perform required audits at all dispensaries operations.
- Act as the site coordinator with state regulators and respond to audits and incidents that require regulatory reporting. Identify and oversee internal remediation as necessary, subject to Compliance oversight.
- Communicate issues to employees in a clear, consistent, and effective manner.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with regulators and inspectors.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, and changes in regulations.
- Review and submit all product specifications to regulatory authorities for review and approval.
- As needed, communicate with regulators on requested changes to the products.
- Provide support to product commercialization and development compliance manager to review and approve all proposed product packaging and labeling for compliance with state specific regulations. Make recommendations when needed to Commercialization team.
- Review and assist with policy changes and updates applicable to the state.
- Assist site leadership with training and qualification procedures for team members.
- Monitor sustainment of corrective actions from both internal and external audits.
- Partner with operations to ensure preventative maintenance and calibrations are performed for site equipment and instrumentation.
- Responsible for new and renewal licensing requirements.
- Become proficient in cannabis laws and regulations for applicable states/region.
- Promote and lead regulatory change management programs within your compliance leads in every state.
- Willingness to travel to all states in your region.
- Additional duties and responsibilities will be assigned as necessary.

The West Coast Cannabis Compliance Director will be responsible for the following each month:
- Update any primary cannabis compliance regulations
- Draft a monthly news letter discussing significant state compliance changes
- Upload Amendments to our training program regarding changes in compliance
- Record compliance changes or over see the recording
- Join monthly webinar to discuss any significant changes in existing states or new ones that legalize in your territory.

Class Definition
Planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing compliance and enforcement work for the Cannabis Control Board to ensure licensed cannabis establishments in Vermont operate honestly, fairly, safely, and in accordance with Board’s administrative rules and the relevant statutes. Work is performed under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Environmental Factors
Duties are largely performed in a standard office environment. Site visits may be necessary, and travel will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, or related field AND five (5) years or more of experience in project/operations management, business administration, public administration, performance improvement, or a related field.
OR
Seven (7) years or more of experience in project/operations management, business administration, public administration, performance improvement, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher

The Director of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, creating process maps, reviewing, and supporting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivering employee training. Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations in which we currently operate as well as future markets.
· Assists in the application process for entering new markets by drafting and editing license applications.
· Assist in development and implementation of state-specific Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and oversight regarding compliance requirements. Continuously monitor SOP implementation and operational adherence to written procedures
· Perform required audits at all dispensaries operations.
· Act as the site coordinator with state regulators and respond to audits and incidents that require regulatory reporting. Identify and oversee internal remediation as necessary, subject to Compliance oversight.
· Communicate issues to employees in a clear, consistent, and effective manner.
· Effectively and professionally communicate with regulators and inspectors.
· Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, and changes in regulations.
· Review and submit all product specifications to regulatory authorities for review and approval.
· As needed, communicate with regulators on requested changes to the products.
· Provide support to product commercialization and development compliance manager to review and approve all proposed product packaging and labeling for compliance with state specific regulations. Make recommendations when needed to Commercialization team.
· Review and assist with policy changes and updates applicable to the state.
· Assist site leadership with training and qualification procedures for team members.
· Monitor sustainment of corrective actions from both internal and external audits.
· Partner with operations to ensure preventative maintenance and calibrations are performed for site equipment and instrumentation.
· Responsible for new and renewal licensing requirements.
· Become proficient in cannabis laws and regulations for applicable states/region.
· Promote and lead regulatory change management programs within your compliance leads in every state.
· Willingness to travel to all states in your region.

Qualifications
· Regulatory experience or background in one more of the following industries: healthcare, pharma, bio food, cannabis, life sciences, undergraduate degree required
· 5+ years of relevant experience

Job Summary

Job Summary:
Accountable for company-wide compliance with all state and local regulations and responsible for internal audit functions across all cultivation, processing and upcoming dispensary locations in Michigan; design, implement and evaluate compliance related policies, procedures and programs and assist in the formulation of compliance-related goals and objectives for the company
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement written compliance programs as warranted throughout the enterprise to ensure compliance with numerous state and municipal cannabis program rules and regulations
- Maintain all policies and procedures; make updates and/or changes which may result from business changes/updates and root cause analyses performed on findings from both internal and external audits to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct
- Prepare documentation to send to regulatory agencies for license renewals and other compliance-related reporting

- Perform inventory-related tasks including:
- Monitor facility managers as they perform company-wide inventory of plants and processed material

Position Summary
The Director of Compliance is responsible for ensuring that our cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution facilities are operating on compliance with all state and local ordinances, rules, and regulations.
General
Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state cannabis licensing regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Direct supervision of METRC Specialist, including mentoring, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Work with departments heads to develop, refine, and implement the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage the internal compliance function, including inventory and audit controls.
- Create and maintain compliance checklist.
- Assist with training needs of departments.
- Monitor state and local laws pertaining to operations and ensure compliance with such laws and update compliance documentation and processes as legislation and regulations change.
- Identify issues, analyze current business methods and provide suggestions to ensure the company maintains compliance with all regulators.
- Developing and updating compliance issues in manuals, as needed
- Document all regulatory changes into training manuals and SOPs.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

General Job Description
WPL has an immediate opening for a highly industrious and proactive individual to become our Director of Operations for processing and production at our cultivation facility in Adrian, Michigan. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Operations is responsible for developing and executing strategies that support production and operational processes, staffing plans, compliance procedures, and team member management. In addition, this individual will understand the business metrics, execute efficiently, be flexible and driven, and lead a large team of talented, diligent and effective personnel to ensure that business and operational standards are consistently met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for all post-harvest activities including, but not limited to trimming, curing, quality control, packaging, product transfer facilitation, testing, waste processing/reporting and inventory control.
- Assess current SOPs, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions through scaling processes, systems, and people.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance operations team; attracting, recruiting, training, and retaining value added team members.
- Assure daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, facility maintenance, and work schedules
- Develop and lead the Compliance Team to monitor and maintain proper inventory processes, controls, and audits using METRC and ensuring full compliance with all state regulations related to inventory and plant/product tracking and inventory.
- Effectively manage and maintain relevant facility records according to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work closely with the Director of Cultivation and the Management Team to assure that production, processing and scheduling plans align with the cultivation and product forecast.
- Maintain a strong presence in the facility to effectively coach and support operations teams and cross function communications.
- Set and analyze performance expectations and production goals for the department, including output levels, recordkeeping, and quality control.
- Create work schedules and flow for both weekday and weekend work allowing for adequate coverage for regular and holiday schedules
- Oversee the maintenance and facilities objectives, upholding the highest levels of cleanliness, sterilization, and overall sanitation of the facility’s functional areas.
- Create/implement/maintain post-harvest best practices and compliant/effective standard operating procedures.
- Oversee processing, packaging, testing, inventory, and distribution resources for the site location with continuous improvement and quality reporting as well.
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conduct visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds set quality standards.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA),
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA,) Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA,) and Worker Protection Standards (WPS).
Qualifications
- A high-touch, credible, visible leader who could establish instant credibility and inspire the team.
- 2+ years’ experience in operations management and inventory control. Cannabis operations experience is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated track record in team building and driving operational efficiencies in a light manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable and confident in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment.
- Ability to address complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to identify top talent and train/develop/retain great people.

The Director of Compliance will keep the management team up to date on legal and regulatory matters impacting operations, assist in the development of company policies and standard operating procedures, monitor operations to identify and correct instances of non-compliance, and function as a quasi-independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The person who fulfills this role will also advise and guide the Board of Directors, management personnel, and employees on applicable local, state, and national laws and regulations, and will be called upon to issue spot, provide answers to complex questions, and help find lawful yet innovative solutions to tricky issues. and that company policies and procedures are being followed. The Director of Compliance will also work with a variety of directors to develop and implement replicable processes, policies, and systems related to compliance and ensure their effectiveness. The Director of Compliance will ensure reporting, registration, filing, and other similar mandatory tasks are completed in a timely fashion and coordinate with Alkhemist management to stay ahead of any future changes in regulations. Work will primarily be performed at our corporate headquarters located in Koreatown but will require periodic presence on our licensed cannabis premises in Boyle Heights.
Candidate Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has in-depth knowledge of California cannabis laws and regulations.

3) Have legal training or other professional experience that required review and analysis of laws and regulations.
4) Have been negatively impacted by cannabis prohibition, or the war on drugs more broadly. This may include having been arrested for a cannabis offense in the past and denied certain opportunities as a result.

Job Description
This role supports the Director of Compliance in ensuring that PharmaCann, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, “PharmaCann” or the “Company”) are compliant with all cannabis industry laws, regulations, standards and ethical practices in the jurisdictions in which the Company operates. The Deputy Director of Compliance will be responsible for knowing both internal corporate policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations to assist the Director of Compliance in detecting violations and preventing the Company from the risk of fines, disciplinary action or lawsuits. This position will report to the Director of Compliance and will work closely with various leaders at different levels within the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Director of Compliance to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and municipal laws, ordinances and regulations, including the specific cannabis regulations for each state.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and establishes risk mitigation strategies in an effort to maintain compliance with cannabis regulations and company policies.
- Collaborates with the Director of Compliance on compliance related inquiries and compiles and assesses data for investigations into internal compliance breaches.
- Develops and executes compliance audits to evaluate adherence to cannabis regulations and company policies.
- Monitors and coordinates compliance activities of various departments to remain abreast of compliance matters and identify trends.
- Partners with relevant Company departments in executing collaborative monitoring, auditing, and corrective action activities.
- Drafts reports related to risk assessment, monitoring and auditing activities.
- Assists the Director of Compliance with implementing PharmaCann’s policies, procedures, and best practices to promote compliance within the Company.
- Serves as subject matter expert on current and prospective state cannabis regulations and provides compliance advice to Company leaders.
- Interprets state regulations and evaluates regulatory inquiries, complaints, and filings for legal and reputational risk exposure and assess whether particular inquiries require escalation to the Director of Compliance.
- Uses independent judgment and knowledge of applicable state regulations to provide recommendations to the Director of Compliance as needed.
- Works with the Director of Compliance to investigate and resolve compliance concerns and issues or other deficiencies and drives remediation efforts as needed.
- Stays up to date with changes in cannabis rules and regulations.
- Keeps informed of emerging cannabis regulatory issues, trends, and other developments which could impact PharmaCann operations.
- Stays abreast of changes to federal and state laws and cannabis regulations affecting PharmaCann management and operations.
- Communicates with state regulators and inspectors as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Travels periodically among the Company’s multi-state cultivation and dispensary operations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Juris Doctorate Degree required from an ABA accredited school
- Minimum of 3-5 years of compliance experience, ideally in the regulated cannabis industry or another regulated industry, such as pharmaceutical, alcohol, gaming, tobacco, or financial services/insurance/lending.
- Law firm and/or regulatory experience followed by an in-house corporate role is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of the cannabis industry.
- Writing sample required.

The Director of Finance and Compliance provides strategic leadership of the financial operations and regulatory compliance for Stash Ventures LLC, and leads fiscal and financial functions, provides financial analysis and insight to the leadership team, and provides general leadership and direction to Company staff.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Implement and manage Company’s ERP system, including financial reporting and inventory management functions.
- Analyze and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.

Qualified Individuals Will Be Expected To Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics and 10 or more years of progressive financial experience within the manufacturing and ideally retail industries. A Master’s degree, combined with a CPA, CMA, or CFA designation are highly desirable.
- Experience and skill in supply chain finance, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, GAAP knowledge, and finance and accounting compliance. Experience working in the cannabis industry is preferable.
- Experience with ERP system implementation, including set up, standard operating procedures, and ongoing system management.
- Self accountability, high standard of performance, productivity and initiative to effectively lead the strategic financial direction of Stash Ventures LLC.

Job Description:
The Director/Manager of Compliance will work closely with the VP of Operations and the General Counsel on the cannabis retail, cultivation, extraction, and distribution business lines to manage and lead all compliance-related matters and activities for the Company.

- Work with the executive team to develop and implement procedures for ensuring absolute legal compliance in all aspects of the Company cannabis operations

- Oversee any recall and/or health/public safety issues. This includes reporting to government agencies, developing communication to dispensaries and/or consumers, working with the management team to develop a corrective plan

Requirements:

Job Summary:
Director of Compliance will assess, design, implement and evaluate compliance programs and initiatives in Nature's Remedy facilities, which include three retail dispensaries, a cultivation facility, along with processing and packaging facilities. The Director of Compliance will conduct internal audits and inspections to support corporate initiatives, as well as state and local regulations, with an emphasis on understanding and implementing all state regulations pertaining to the sale of cannabis. Responsibilities:
- Develop policies, strategies and procedures related to regulatory compliance in coordination with department heads and organization leaders and implement policies, strategies and procedures as directed.
- Understand all aspects of Massachusetts regulations pertaining to the sale of Cannabis, and remain continually educated on Cannabis Control Commission regulations, guidance, and policy changes.
- Implement preventative measures and corrective action in the event of compliance concerns.
- Lead and conduct audits including development of SOP's, perform audit work steps, document and report findings, and develop and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Be available at all times for compliance questions from all Nature's Remedy departments.
- Take a proactive compliance view of the organization and provide preventative measures to ensure the organization is compliant with all regulatory requirements
- Collect and analyze data to define and understand problems and perform research to identify root causes

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree as well as experience in the cannabis field in Massachusetts.

This role will be required to interface with regulators, executive management and Sira employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop policies, strategies and procedures related to regulatory compliance in coordination with department heads and organization leaders; implement policies, strategies and procedures as directed
- Implement preventative measures and corrective action in the event of compliance concerns
- Lead and conduct audits including development of SOP's, perform audit work steps, document and report findings, and develop and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Take a proactive compliance view of the organization and provide preventative measures to ensure the organization is compliant with all regulatory requirements
- Collect and analyze data to define and understand problems and perform research to identify root causes
- Evaluate and perform alternative procedures to make timely and appropriate recommendations as necessary
- Perform qualitative and quantitative data analyses to build presentations for organization leaders
- Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure organization is in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
- Motivate team members and represent compliance department across entire organization with effective communication
- Establish and develop strong relationships across the organization, providing a consultative approach to communicate compliance initiatives

Participate on regulatory stakeholder, industry and other relevant work groups
- Comply with regulations and requirements associated with health, safety and environmental protections
- Ensure the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment as required and report any hazards, accidents or injuries as required by company policy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a regulatory compliance position, familiarity with state regulatory entities
- Legal mindset, ability to read, understand, interpret and communicate laws, ordinances and regulations
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effective interaction across all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage high stress situations , and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
- Detail oriented with an eye for process streamlining
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
- Able to pass all background checks as mandated by Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in cannabis is a plus
- Prior experience in a paralegal or legal administrative position is a plus
Working Conditions
- The person in this position may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree
Physical and other Requirements
- Throughout extended periods must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday
- Must be capable of working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above
- Occasional lifting, positioning or moving items up to 50 pounds if relevant to the job duties listed above

Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission
The main purpose of this position is to direct the compliance, inspection and enforcement programs and/or functions assigned to the bureau within the Maryland Medical Cannabis Office as required. Additionally, this position will effectively manage regional enforcement supervisors and investigators as they carry-out required investigations, inspections and enforcement and compliance of MMCC's licensees according to COMAR 10.62.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and 5-10 years of applicable work experience including Policies, Procedures, Documentation, Regulatory, Governance, Training, Compliance, Audit, Controls and Business Process Management. Candidates must also possess at least 5 years professional experience in Compliance or Quality Assurance and 5 years leadership experience. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
