Job Summary:
The Demand Planner plays a critical role in improving the forecast accuracy performance. This position will facilitate the demand review process by working cross functionally to develop and communicate the most accurate sales forecast for the supply chain plan. Facilitate dialogue regarding risks and opportunities to cross-functional teams including senior leadership. Continuously leverage forecasting tools to streamline forecasting processes, improve forecast accuracy and create supply chain efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
Forecast/Consensus

• Own the execution, performance and continuous improvement of the shipment forecast for all brands


• Own and execute New Item forecasting process, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Innovation and Operations teams


• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to incorporate current and long–term market intelligence into the demand plan at product, customer and market levels and to develop, document and update the assumptions supporting the demand plan


• Proficiently use multiple information sources to develop a demand forecast: shipments, consumption, weeks of supply, promotional lift, ACV, velocity, market penetration


• Support team to ensure required customer service levels are met while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and monitoring E/O inventory


• Present forecast performance in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings.

Process Improvement

• Own and facilitate key processes, as well as identify and develop new processes as required


• Act as primary resource on behalf of sales team in development of an S&OP process


• Development of inventory reduction strategies in conjunction Supply Chain team

Systems

• Provide expertise as we continue to utilize the systems (Sage, Excel) to enhance the future state of the Demand Planning process.

Analytics/Reporting

• Responsible for the design, implementation, performance and maintenance of reporting (current and new), ensuring standardization in metrics, calculations, data sources and terminology


• Own and update the monthly branded sales report and financial lock process.


• Partner with Supply Chain team to leverage use of Business Intelligence tools (SAGE) to retrieve, analyze, transform and report data that drives actionable insights


• Monitor the demand plan performance (forecast error, accuracy, bias) by measuring actual versus planned performance at multiple planning levels. Prepare performance metrics and distribute to collaborators as feedback for continuous improvement


• Develop comprehensive opportunity analysis, including volume, funding and resource allocation considerations


• Support both tactical and strategic decision-making with regards to brand, shopper and retailer investments


• Work closely with Finance and the Sales organization in the forecasting and management of trade strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or Supply Chain Management


• minimum of 3 years of previous experience in Planning or Supply Chain data analysis or similar role.


• Knowledge of MPS/MRP, Demand Flow, JIT, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Supply Chain design.


• Excellent data management and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks / priorities and lead cross-functional projects.


• Ability to self-start and work proactively.


• Ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing customer demands and sense of urgency.


• High level proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office.

• Forecast
• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

• Build and own the monthly S&OP Process with key departments.
• Develop multiple planning scenarios and build a picture of low, medium, and high demand.

• Build and drive production and pack out plans related to new product launches, promotions, and the continual replenishment of existing SKUs, while staying mindful of weeks of supply levels.
• Communicate risks to production and pack out plans in a timely manner with a resolution action plan.
• Time production and pack-out needed across all brand families and SKUs in order to mitigate risks to inventory (out of stocks and best by date).
• Collaborate with production managers to create schedules that increase efficiency and yield, while mitigating scrap, errors on the production line, and risk to inventory levels.
• Work closely with R&D and Tech Ops to schedule trials for upcoming launches.

The Demand Plan (DP) is the basis for Purchasing and significantly influences the inventory management/stock turn and re-order availability. JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for collaborating on and maintaining Cresco's wholesale sales forecast across the company's entire footprint. This includes development of demand plans for both developed and emerging cannabis markets, varying competitive environments and differing corporate goals. Key activities include establishing historical and future sales baselines, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand incremental growth drivers and leading consensus meetings to align parties on the forecast and demand plan.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Incorporate market inputs (i.e. Cresco Retail, Wholesale, Market) and insights (i.e., new products, out-of-stocks, price elasticity) into a demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation.
• Collaborate in the development and maintenance of a forecasting model, leveraging both inventory and wholesale sales data
• Prepares, monitors, and shares reports on Forecast KPIs at monthly forecast consensus meetings; includes opportunities, risks, and gaps vs plan
• Conducts analysis to determine root cause of forecast misses, identifies continuous improvement opportunities
• Maintain reporting and metrics such as Accuracy, Bias and Attainment and use said measures to drive action plans where needed
• Collaborates closely with Operations & Supply planning teams to ensure optimal production scheduling and high customer fill rates
• Collaborate with Reginal Store Managers and Retail Leaders to enable alignment on the Demand Plan inputs
• Work within the Cresco S&OP process to gain consensus and alignment to drive Supply Plans, Procurement and provide insight as to the future sales expectations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, finance, economics, mathematics, business administration, or related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts; statistical modeling experience preferred
• 3 or more years of demand planning experience in CPG, Cannabis, or a like business specializing in planning or forecasting
• Excellent communication and cross-functional skills
• Logical approach to problem solving, analytics, planning, and the ability to flex between a "big picture" understanding a detailed analysis
• Fluent in synthesizing large and disparate datasets to identify key implications and to then tell a story of your findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing presentation
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.) required; Knowledge of SQL, Python or similar is desired
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
• Self-starter who is extremely result and detail oriented

JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for collaborating on and maintaining Cresco's Retail sales forecast across the company's entire footprint. This includes development of demand plans for both developed and emerging cannabis markets, varying competitive environments and differing corporate goals. Key activities include establishing historical and future sales baselines, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand incremental growth drivers and leading consensus meetings to align parties on the forecast and demand plan.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Incorporate market inputs (i.e. Cresco Retail, Wholesale, Market) and insights (i.e., new products, out-of-stocks, price elasticity) into a Retail demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation.
• Collaborate in the development and maintenance of a forecasting model, leveraging both retail sales data and broader market and industry inputs.
• Prepares, monitors, and shares reports on Forecast KPIs at monthly forecast consensus meetings; includes opportunities, risks, and gaps vs plan
• Conducts analysis to determine root cause of forecast misses, identifies continuous improvement opportunities
• Maintain reporting and metrics such as Accuracy, Bias and Attainment and use said measures to drive action plans where needed
• Collaborates closely with Retail Purchasing teams to ensure optimal item mix availability to the customer
• Collaborate with Reginal Store Managers and Retail Leaders to enable alignment on the Demand Plan inputs
• Work within the Cresco S&OP process to gain consensus and alignment to drive Supply Plans, Procurement and provide insight as to the future sales expectations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, finance, economics, mathematics, business administration, or related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts; statistical modeling experience preferred
• 0 to 3 years of demand planning experience in CPG, Cannabis, or a like business specializing in planning or forecasting
• Excellent communication and cross-functional skills
• Logical approach to problem solving, analytics, planning, and the ability to flex between a "big picture" understanding a detailed analysis
• Fluent in synthesizing large and disparate datasets to identify key implications and to then tell a story of your findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing presentation
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.) required; Knowledge of SQL, Python or similar is desired
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
• Self-starter who is extremely result and detail oriented

Reporting to Demand Planning Director, the Demand Planner will act as a key support for our business. This is a full-time remote position. This person will become a go-to lead for forecasting, weekly product allocation and offering process, data analytics and reporting. The core responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Develop and maintain rolling 12-month demand plan by SKU, analyzing historical shipment data, sell-through, in-channel Inventory and WOS at provincial boards, while closely collaborating with Product, Pricing, Finance, Sales and Customer teams.
• Establish and monitor forecast accuracy and BIAS reporting for the assigned business, identify gaps and work with Sales and internal supply chain teams to improve the KPIs for critical items.
• Monitor and report on important changes in forecasts month over month versus previous forecast, operating plan and board commitment and sales expectations.
• Manage the product offering and allocation process for the assigned business.
• Work with Sales & Category teams to incorporate impact of promotions, pricing changes and new product introduction on the forecast.
• Work with Sales to clearly identify and present opportunities and risks in the demand plan.
• Monitor inventory levels based on customer demand and work with customer to fill inventory gaps.
• Learn and develop expertise in cannabis supply chain operations.
• Prioritize and manage with competing and changing objectives in support of both short- and long-term goals while maintaining stakeholder expectations. This includes various ad hoc analytical reporting and presentations.
• Design, build and own tools to improve processes and information gathering.
• Work with cross functional teams and provide insight to improve business decisions through data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or other relevant fields.
• A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
• Power user of Microsoft Excel and other visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Summary
The demand planner is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with Kiva products. This includes creating and maintaining SKU forecasts by using forecast models and incorporating business intelligence gathered from our key partners (sales, marketing, finance), historical information, and other sources. The demand planner oversees forecasts for both finished good inventory as well as supply forecasts for raw materials and packaging components.

As a Kiva Demand Planner, you'll...

• Forecasting
• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Create and manage the monthly S&OP Process with key departments
• Develop multiple planning scenarios and create a picture of low, medium, and high demand.
• Use statistical analysis, historical shipment trends, and demand assumptions to refine the demand forecast
• Maintain and report KPI’s such as forecast accuracy, in-stocks/out of stocks, on time delivery etc.

Supply Planning

• Design supply plan and monitor inventory for all Kiva owned raw materials and packaging components
• Develop, track and refine supply related KPIs; provide data and analytics to help drive the business forward
• Highlight shortages in a timely manner with a resolution action plan
• Highlight tools or process gaps that need to be addressed
• Determine and set planning parameters within the MRP system – safety stock, lead time, lot sizes, time fences – based on various inputs gathered from the supplier
• Work with suppliers to negotiate MOQ, pricing, and lead times
• Execute supply planning related to product launches and transitions
• Use statistical analysis to determine reorder points, safety stock, and optimal inventory carrying costs

What we’re looking for…

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent education and experience
• 5+ years in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and/or planning
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, h-lookups)
• Strong analytical abilities, including strong mathematical abilities and extensive spreadsheet analysis
• APICS/ASCM Certification Preferred
• Experience with MRP functionality
