The leadership team is at the heart of our unique patient, employee and vendor experience. You will support the team to ensure efficient inventory processes and procedures in our high-volume dispensaries.
This position interacts daily with existing and prospective suppliers, the inventory team, staff analyst, retail managers and patient consultants. Experience working in a high-volume retail or wholesale environment with a large number of SKUs and vendors is essential. California cannabis inventory management experience is essential for this role.

Qualifications:
- Prior inventory management experience (2-5 years)
- Prior management experience leading large teams (1-3 year)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or previous cannabis management experience
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (after signed offer letter)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the medical cannabis industry
- Experience working in the health & wellness industry
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively and ensure excellence in training and performance
- Proficiency in G Suite (Google Drive, Google Sheets)
- Proficiency in Metrc (Cannabis Track and Trace Software)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize day to day operations of the inventory department
- Partner with buying team to ensure the appropriate selection of salable products are compliant and available at all times
- Provide employees with guidance, growth opportunities and product knowledge. Ensure a safe, positive and productive work environment

- Build trust with vendors and team.
- Prepare for asset protection in case of major incidents, emergencies, natural disasters and crises.

- De-escalate situations and alert the MOD to address the situation together.
- Call 911 as necessary.
- Refrain from using force except to push away a suspect from harming them physically.
- Patrol the block, pick up trash, and circulate through the lounge.
- Observe and report all breaches of security to management immediately.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all cannabis selections and products available in the store.
- Monitor retail floor and lounge to ensure optimum customer service and perform loss prevention
- Arrive on time and take scheduled breaks for each shift.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Monitor customer activities for conditions that require immediate management response for safety. Communicate and respond to any situation with the guidance of management.

Requirements

- Advanced experience with Quickbooks Enterprise, POS software, Excel, Google Suite. Applicant will be tested for skill level.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree

Skills & requirements for this position:
- Cannabis industry experience is NOT a requirement but will accelerate candidates to priority consideration
- 1-2 years previous Inventory or Stock Associate experience in retail, restaurant, manufacturing or parts inventory.
- Ability to lift bins of inventory, bend, reach, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
- Willing to work long days and weekends with a flexible work schedule
- Must be computer friendly-Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency a big plus
- Previous experience with retail or stock room sale systems. Treez, Leaf Logix or METRC experience a plus.

The Digital Coordinator will ensure that product offerings, prices and product details are accurately reflected on all ecommerce and social media channels and that digital promotions and tools are aligned with promotional activities. The role will organize promotions and demonstrations for the retail stores and is responsible for compliance with city and state regulations as they relate to promotional and online activities.
Responsibilities
- Remain in compliance with all city and state regulations related to the purchase, inventory and sale of cannabis products.
- Complete all assigned duties, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to departmental standards.
- Develop a strong understanding of inventory and online menu operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of online platforms, including LeafLogix, iHeartJane, OnFleet, SpringBig, weedmaps.com, and Leafly.com, etc for all locations.
- Confirm accurate descriptions and naming of each product.
- Photograph all products for online use in accordance with company and brand standards.
- Secure copyright clearances as required from vendors or distributors to permit the lawful display of trademarks not owned by the Company. When in doubt about the use of any copyright or trademark, contact only the Company's COO for clarification or permission.
- Configure Urbana online menus for optimal performance, accuracy and ease of use by customers.
- Perform a weekly spot price check of competitors on products identified by management to affirm competitive pricing. Report any discrepancies to the inventory manager.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all cannabis selections and products available in the store.
- Understand the particular characteristics and description of every product available.
- Maintain knowledge of daily sales or sold out items.
- Promptly notify inventory manager of any irregularities in the Company's e- commerce systems or activities.
- Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to ensure that promotions are accurately reflected and configured in all tech platforms for their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with data analyst on special projects related to promotion tracking, holiday events, and special partnership activity, and as needed.
- Extract data from tech platforms for uploading the company's email newsletter platform.
- Monitor specific incoming email addresses for customer complaints and partner issues, resolving them when possible and/or forwarding applicable messages to the appropriate internal party.
- Promptly and accurately respond to inbound customer inquiries about products.
- Frequently check Onfleet to make sure that settings, users and delivery specs are accurate. Report any issues to the store manager and COO.
- Restrict platform configuration modifications to those related exclusively to menu settings of any retail system used by the Company.
- Only use a Company-provided email for all Company business.
- Subscribe to and monitor digital promotions from competing delivery services and dispensaries, notifying a designated internal email address of exceptional offers.
- Arrive on time and take scheduled breaks for each shift.
- Remain in uniform, well-groomed, polished and professional at all times.
- You are always required to wear your identification badge.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Assist the CEO, COO, analyst and inventory manager, as directed.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended and required.
Promotions and Demo Responsibilities
- Coordinate all activities and promotions 2 weeks in advance.
- Identify products for special promotions with vendors as suggested by management.
- Propose and negotiate select deals, date and details for review by the purchasing managers
- Respond/negotiate with vendors, as required.
- Maintain the promotions calendars.
- Maintain and update timely shared documents.
- Regularly communicate with the marketing and retail departments of all pending opportunities and events.
- Remind team both 1 week and 3 day(s) before each promo for staff meetings and general awareness
- Confirm with Inventory that product received and priced correctly
- Confirm that specials are set up in LeafLogix and Jane
- Communicate any discrepancies as soon as possible.
- Coordinate with store managers as required to calculate credits owed and communicate to the accounts payable team.
- Coordinate in store demos.
- Communicate with vendors, inventory and retail teams all necessary information about demos.
- Maintain demo calendars.
- Collaborate with the Managers to promote and execute events in the lounge.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in marketing or digital media, preferably in a restaurant or retail cannabis environment.
- Experience working on POS and other business platforms that have complex user and configuration requirements.
- Knowledge of various cannabis products.
- Background check (after offer of employment made).
- Must be 21 year of age, per state law
- High school diploma or GED. College degree preferred.
- Excellent problem resolution skills and listening skills. Ability to pass on all necessary information to the Management Team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English, multilingualism will be considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Expert in Microsoft Excel
- Expert in preparation of work papers for state and federal taxes and liaison with outside CPA
- Expert in intercompany transaction reconciliations
- Expert in extracting information from external platforms including POS, payroll, time & attendance, inventory, merchandise return tracking, CRM
- Advanced experience in business intelligence software configuration
- Advanced experience in financial projections, cash flow and breakeven analysis
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates with experience in real estate finance (in addition to retail or hospitality) will receive priority consideration.
This position can work from home and/or an Oakland office and collaborates with the CEO, COO and Finance Manager. Estimated hours per week are 15-30.

Urbana consultants work closely with the company's skilled curators, buyers and managers to continually expand their knowledge about cannabis and make every shift a new learning experience.
Skills & Requirements
- 1-2 years previous experience as a Consultant/Budtender in a busy cannabis dispensary.
- Age 21 or over
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Willing to work long days and weekends with a flexible work schedule
- Ability to lift bins of inventory, bend and stand for extended periods of time
- Previous experience with retail point of sale systems and cash handling
- Must be computer friendly-Microsoft Word/Excel experience a big plus
- Strong communication skills
- A sincere interest in learning about medical cannabis and the industry
- Professional and personable
- Positive, can-do attitude, solution-based thinker, organized and results driven

The Inventory Clerk works with a team of retail and loss prevention professionals to maintain our compliance with state regulations as well as keep our store stocked with a wide variety of premium cannabis products.
Skills & requirements for this position:
- Cannabis industry experience is NOT a requirement but will accelerate candidates to priority consideration
- 1-2 years previous experience retail, restaurant, manufacturing or parts inventory as a clerk or stock associate
- Ability to lift bins of inventory, bend and stand for extended periods of time
- Willing to work long days and weekends with a flexible work schedule. Weekly inventory begins at 6am.
- Must be computer friendly-Microsoft Word/Excel experience a big plus
