Job Summary:
The primary function of this role is developing and optimizing our retail websites (Peoples OC, The Spot, Blum) on our Dutchie and I heart Jane platforms, to increase stickiness and conversion with existing audiences, and by attracting new customers by driving online digital marketing strategies. This will be done by analyzing site, digital marketing, competitor, and customer performance data, and utilizing that data to continuously improve traffic, conversion, average ticket spent, revenue and profitability through our ecommerce channel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Integrates, analyzes and optimizes our current ecommerce platforms on Dutchie and I heart Jane ecommerce platforms, utilizing wordpress to update site content.
- Uses online merchandising best practices to rank and feature products, that ultimately increase conversion and page views per customer.
- Continuously updates the websites to showcase new content, launch new products and notify our customers of promotional opportunities in store.
- Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor customer activity online, and to present findings to the Marketing, Retail and management teams.
- Assesses competitive market strategies by analyzing their sites, including featured and related products and promotional strategy.
- Develops and manages digital marketing campaigns, including Programmatic advertising and 3rd party listings (ie Weedmaps, Leafly).
- Manages digital marketing budget and ensures we are seeing a positive ROI from our digital marketing campaigns.
- Helps Marketing team develop the social media and influencer strategy.
- Works with SEO agency to increase traffic to our sites and improve ranking in search engines; monitors performance advancement and identifies new opportunities.
- Monitors customer feedback through 3rd party channels such as Yelp and Google.
- Monitor Google Analytics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

- Has effectively managed ecommerce sites that sell direct to consumer (Mandatory).

Unrivaled Brands corporate office is seeking an experienced accountant to oversee this team in the role of controller. This role will organize and provide information on the results of company operations in the form of financial statements, which are used by management to evaluate the performance and financial condition of the company. They are a core leader within our Finance Team and will work with our CFO to engage in all financial aspects of our organization, with a keen attention to detail and fiscal health. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, they will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. They will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. They will be responsible for helping to prepare information for external accounting audits, reviewing financial transactions and account statements, reconciling AR and AP, and resolving bank discrepancies, and assuring all accounting and financial reporting is done in compliance with all Company and GAAP guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs and distributes periodic financial statements and reports which inform management and ownership of the financial health of the company.
- Formats and organizes all accounting information for delivery to the outside accounting firm and to the bank.
- Designs and implements a budgeting and reporting system to assist management in the profitable operation of the company.
- Develops and implements a cash management system to assist the officers in managing the cash flow of the Company.
- Assists in tax planning for the company and its owners that minimizes their tax liability in relation to their goals.
- Develops and implements a system of financial report distribution to the various department managers.
- Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures for all critical accounting and payroll functions for future training needs.
- Oversees all payroll processing and reporting.
- Oversees all accounts payable activities including developing and implementing an AP aging and payment procedures and establishing appropriate accounting categories for all Company expenditures.
- Oversees all accounts receivable activities including developing and implementing a billing and invoicing procedure and billing schedule, aging procedure, and credit and collection policy.
- Balances all General Ledger accounts.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 4+ years of Corporate Accounting Experience preferred, ideally with a publicly traded entity.
- Accounting experience in a retail, wholesale, manufacturing, cultivation and/ or related environment highly preferred. Experience in cannabis is welcomed but not required.
- Experience with Acumatica ERP or a like ERP system is highly desired.
- Attention to detail and outstanding understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and validating data.
- Excel knowledge including data mining, creating pivot tables, linking multiple spreadsheets, and experience with other MS Office applications including Word.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, organizational skills and follow through
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of a MSO with cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail operations.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external contacts.
- Team-oriented and works well in a collaborative environment while still being self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, activities and projects.
- An operational knowledge of retail operations is desirable.

Unrivaled Brands corporate office is seeking a Financial Analyst (FA) is responsible for analyzing financial statements, evaluating operational trends, creating performance metrics, and inspecting and predicting future performance of the company, which includes forecasting future revenues and expenditures, modeling capital structure and budgeting, and analyzing information from a variety of platforms including marketing, sales, payroll, inventory and others, to create actionable reports for senior management. The FA is also often responsible for keeping track of a company’s financial plan(s), analyzing the company’s performance, alongside changes and market trends, to create forecasts and to calculate variances between those forecasts and actuals. This role is also responsible to track down and explain the causes of any determined variances. This role has access to confidential and proprietary data and information.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
- Analyzing financial data – and creating financial models for decision support.
- Reporting on financial performance and preparation for regular leadership reviews
- Analyzing past results, performing variance analysis; identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements
- Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
- Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guiding cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedure.

Job description
Unrivaled Brands corporate office is seeking a Sr. Corporate Accountant to ensure t efficient accounting practices by working closely with company leadership and accounting team to reconcile accounts and review quarterly or annual reports. This role will report to the VP of Finance and will be responsible for helping to prepare information for external accounting audits, reviewing financial transactions and account statements, reconciling AR and AP, and resolving bank discrepancies, and assuring all accounting and financial reporting is done in compliance with all Company and GAAP guidelines. This role has access to confidential and proprietary data and information.
Key Duties and Responsibilitie
- Analyzing complex financial reports and records
- Making recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
- Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
- Working with all departments within UNRIVALED to adhere to policies and procedures for all accounts payable practices to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Training and mentoring junior staff
- Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations
- Assisting with financial and tax audits
- Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team
- Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
- Performing any other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 2+ years of Corporate Accounting Experience, ideally with a publicly traded entity.
- Accounting experience in a retail, wholesale, manufacturing, cultivation and/ or related environment highly preferred. Experience in cannabis welcomed but not required.
- Experience with Acumatica ERP or a like ERP system highly desired.
- Attention to detail and outstanding understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and validating data.
- Excel knowledge including data mining, creating pivot tables, linking multiple spreadsheets, and experience with other MS Office applications including Word.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, organizational skills and follow through
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of a MSO with cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail operations.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external contacts.
- Team-oriented and works well in a collaborative environment while still being self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, activities and projects.
- An operational knowledge of retail operations desirable.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to facilitate growth and expansion
- Willingness to approach projects with a can-do attitude and a problem-solving mentality
- Aptitude in decision-making, working with numbers, and problem solving along with the flexibility to adapt to change.
