Summary:
Unity Rd. is seeking enthusiastic Budtenders to welcome onto our expanding team at our Oklahoma City shop. Duties for this role will include, but are not limited to; Helping medical marijuana patients one-on-one by recommending the best cannabis options to ailments he/or she is seeking relief from and educating patients on the possible benefits from cannabis and its many forms of consumption. The Budtender will be responsible for ensuring an excellent guest experience through friendly, outgoing service, strong communication skills, and fluency in all products. Previous experience in the cannabis industry is strongly preferred, though our priority is finding a team player with quality retail experience who fits the company culture, takes exquisite care of our patients, and is equally committed to driving sales and the overall success of our shop. Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management and staff to ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality service
- Educate guests about a variety of cannabis products including flower, edibles, and concentrates, providing information on cannabis products based on guest needs/requests
- Provide guests with quality, compassionate trustworthy service that creates repeat business by developing long-term relationships
- Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility
- Maintain visually appealing and effective displays
- Maintain and use completely and accurately (POS) and METRC systems for all in-store, online, and phone orders
- Maintain strict adherence with State compliance regulations
- Handle complete and accurate cash and discount application
- Verify proper paperwork, documentation, and ID of all guests
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities requirements:
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, team-oriented and disciplined work ethic
- Detail-oriented; able to stay organized and on task in a fast-paced environment
- Previous cannabis retail experience strongly preferred
- Experience handling cash transactions and maintaining a balanced drawer

- 3+ years of experience in a retail environment

- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks

Overview of Position:
The Teller is responsible for completing guest and patient transactions and providing excellent customer service. The Teller provides additional information on cannabis and cannabis infused products, Unity Rd. services, and upcoming specials and events.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Processes guest and patient transactions
- Calculates the cost of products
- Accepts payments and calculates and returns change when required by the payment method
- Answers guest and patient questions about products or services
- Identifies upsell opportunities
- Signs guests and patients up for the loyalty rewards program
- Continue ongoing cannabis education and product exploration
- Maintain a clean and presentable teller station
- Conduct transactions with total accuracy regarding compliance
- Ensure front of house inventory is stocked and organized
- Periodically assist in shop inventory audits
- Effectively communicates with patients in consultative manner
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must have reliable transportation
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

Personnel Duties:
The Communication Specialist plays a key role in supporting organization, shareholder and franchise partner communication efforts – driving communications to team members across Item 9 Labs Corp., including teams in and outside the corporate office as well as at the company’s cultivation/production sites, at the retail level at corporate-owned Unity Rd. shops, Unity Rd. franchise partners and among current and prospective shareholders.
With a goal of ensuring the Company’s various internal audiences are kept informed and motivated, in this role, you will build and implement communication strategies and long-term internal marketing campaigns that are designed to inform and engage team members on prioritized topics and messaging. The position will also assist with preparing and delivering messaging, communications, and programs that influence and inspire team members, franchise partners and shareholders.
This role will work closely with leaders and fellow colleagues to support communication programs and messaging across the organization and its various audiences. This individual should be a creative, enthusiastic storyteller who can work across teams and with various executives to mine for compelling stories and content ideas that engage our internal teams. They also should be able to craft high-level content for delivery from the executive team to the Company’s various internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive communications that engage and inspire corporate team members and franchise partners around the company’s mission, values, product or franchise updates, and other top priorities.
- Ensure all team members, franchise partners and shareholders receive all relevant information needed and stay motivated by communicating through the Company’s various communication channels.
- Track engagement of audiences and make pivots or changes as necessary. Routinely measure engagement and report out to stakeholders regarding the impact of internal communications and shareholders.
- Be innovative and develop creative ways to reach corporate team members with the news and information they care about and drive their engagement in prioritized company initiatives.
- Develop internal communication plans that think long-term, tying multiple communication moments together into broader strategies.
- Develop and manage a team member social advocacy program that turns colleagues into engaged and enthusiastic ambassadors.
- Research, write, edit and publish communications, for a variety of internal and external communications mediums, with a keen eye for quality and accuracy. You may also be required to guide the layout of the content or design the content via Adobe or Canva.
- Develop community relations strategies to better engrain our brands and company with our core community groups.
- Assist team members in developing both internal and external presentations and offer support through practice sessions.
- Assist in the development of messages or presentation scripts from senior executives for presentation in written or spoken form.
- Assist in developing internal guides and standard operating procedures to enhance communications and usage of the Company’s communications tools/resources.
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different teams across the organization. Further, ensure internal communications are consistent with external messaging.
- Respond to feedback from team members and adjust communications content accordingly.
- Lead on crafting internal communications to crisis or urgent situations. Work in conjunction with PR & Content Specialist on external communications and strategy.
- Train new and existing team members on communications tools.
- Assist teams across the company in reviewing and editing written content that is intended for both internal and external audiences.
- Maintain regular research of cannabis industry trends, statistics, updates and news and communicate relevant information to the teams it impacts.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Communications team and company.

This Franchise Development Coordinator will help develop, coordinate, and work closely with the marketing and communications teams to provide ongoing brand support on the Unity Rd. franchise development team.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Ensure brand standards are met, including consistent brand messaging between franchise development and other teams.
- Attend weekly meetings with development and marketing teams and ensure alignment across projects as well as action items are communicated and acted upon by their deadlines.
- Develop the franchise development marketing strategy and guide content, working closely with the marketing team for execution and best practices.
- Manage the annual franchise development marketing plan, ensuring projects are prioritized and deadlines are met across the franchise development, marketing and communications teams.
- Act as liaison between teams for print materials, show collateral, and digital marketing that supports franchise development efforts.
- Help plan and execute tradeshows, ensuring all needed logistics leading into the conference are completed and the team is prepared.
- Assist franchise development team in staying on top of the latest cannabis industry news, licensing changes, opportunities, etc. – working closely with other teams to ensure information is communicated and acted upon.
- Lead on the development of email communications for drip campaigns, company news, industry updates, etc. to prospective franchise partners.
- Aid in drafting messaging for franchise development-focused marketing content.
- Support franchise development team, as needed.
- Track franchise lead generation to help make data-driven decision on marketing spends.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, communications, advertising or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience developing and executing marketing plans in the franchise industry to support development efforts.
- Strong presentations skills, with the ability to convey clearly facts and ideas to both individuals and large groups.
- Great phone etiquette, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Naturally proactive and ability to independently problem-solve.
- Excellent planning, time-management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects that run concurrently.

We are looking for a high energy, ultra-organized pro to become part of our team and work with a wide variety of potential entrepreneurs that are interested in joining the national network of Unity Rd. cannabis dispensary franchise partners. The Franchise Development Lead Specialist is tasked with articulating the value proposition of our franchise to prospects and qualifying them through the initial steps of the sales process to ensure they are awesome enough to talk to our development team. This position will also work to organize our team of development sprinters for activities such as shows, advertising, onboarding and more.
Who You Are:
- Amazing communication skills over the phone

- Exceptionally organized, naturally proactive and strong time management skills
- Positive, can-do-it attitude and team spirit
- Solid command of Microsoft Office products
- Franchise experience a plus
- Proficient in CRM management (FranConnect a huge bonus)

This Franchise Development Coordinator will help develop, coordinate, and work closely with the marketing and communications teams to provide ongoing brand support on the Unity Rd. franchise development team.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Ensure brand standards are met, including consistent brand messaging between franchise development and other teams.
- Attend weekly meetings with development and marketing teams and ensure alignment across projects as well as action items are communicated and acted upon by their deadlines.
- Develop the franchise development marketing strategy and guide content, working closely with the marketing team for execution and best practices.
- Manage the annual franchise development marketing plan, ensuring projects are prioritized and deadlines are met across the franchise development, marketing and communications teams.
- Act as liaison between teams for print materials, show collateral, and digital marketing that supports franchise development efforts.
- Help plan and execute tradeshows, ensuring all needed logistics leading into the conference are completed and the team is prepared.
- Assist franchise development team in staying on top of the latest cannabis industry news, licensing changes, opportunities, etc. – working closely with other teams to ensure information is communicated and acted upon.
- Lead on the development of email communications for drip campaigns, company news, industry updates, etc. to prospective franchise partners.
- Aid in drafting messaging for franchise development-focused marketing content.
- Support franchise development team, as needed.
- Track franchise lead generation to help make data-driven decision on marketing spends.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, communications, advertising or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience developing and executing marketing plans in the franchise industry to support development efforts.
- Strong presentations skills, with the ability to convey clearly facts and ideas to both individuals and large groups.
- Great phone etiquette, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Naturally proactive and ability to independently problem-solve.
- Excellent planning, time-management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects that run concurrently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with the Adobe product suite or Canva.
- Proficient in utilizing CRMs (FranConnect a huge bonus)
