Job Summary:
The Cannabis Sales Representative-Northern Region for True North Collective MI will sell and provide guidance about products needed by provisioning centers in the state of Michigan.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the cannabis industry in the state of Michigan
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking, cold calls, and cannabis retailer visits
- Develops and implements strategies for sales with the True North Collective MI marketing representative and the sales director in an assigned region
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other specifications to clients
- Negotiates prices and terms of sales with the input from the sales director, submits orders
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to travel within assigned Michigan region 75% of the time as well as to our current sales office in Jackson, MI one time per month
- Home base located in or around Cadillac, Grayling, Gaylord, or Traverse City, MI areas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of cannabis and cannabis-related products
- Organized with attention to detail
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Leaflink and METRC experience is a plus
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the cannabis industry
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required.
