Assistant to the Founder & CEO Overview
The Assistant will support—and report to—Acme’s Founder & CEO and be primarily responsible for organizing his day-to-day meetings and priorities.
Acme is a small, nimble start-up, meaning that—while some fixed job responsibilities are outlined below—an important aspect of this position job will be adapting to changing priorities and developing new projects. Additionally, as our work is often time sensitive and half our staff is based in Los Angeles, this position—despite being part-time—will often require work outside normal business hours and occasionally over the weekend.Please note: this position requires at least three days per-week in-person at the CEO’s office in Beverly, MA. Responsibilities
- Manage the CEO’s busy calendar, including serving as the point of contact between the CEO and the rest of the company, scheduling meetings and, once travel restrictions are lifted, making travel arrangements
- Create agendas, keep high-level notes, & track action items for many of the CEO’s calls & meetings
- Prep the CEO for his meetings each day & provide an overview of his priorities
- Develop, implement, & maintain a project management system for the CEO that enables him to track & complete priority tasks on a timely basis
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to organize a heavy workload by daily priority on an ongoing basis & as new projects develop
- Outstanding organizational & time management skills
- Ability to keep calm under pressure & meet deadlines
- Strong proven written & verbal communication skills
- Discretion & confidentiality
- A creative approach to problem-solving & strong decision-making skills
- Solid working knowledge of GSuite, Slack, & Trello a plus
- Social Media skills - familiar with creating content & posting on social media platforms (ex: Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Twitch)
