Terra Biotics is a family-owned company specializing in organic plant food formulations developed for cannabis, hemp, row crops and specialty crops. We started in 2003 with a focus on products that rebuild the soil, optimize blooms, and maximize yields. We’re hiring a Territory Sales Manager to lead the development of business in Oklahoma and surrounding areas, including Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas. You'll work from your home office and travel up to 50% of the time to visit growers and retailers. You can be located anywhere within the territory for this role. You will establish and execute a regional sales strategy targeting the cannabis and hemp market - focusing on building relationships with new retailers and making connections with growers to educate them on our product offering and its many benefits. Our customers are enjoying 24% increases in plant size and 60% increases in hemp yield. Sales will be direct to growers as well as through retailers. You will serve growers as a go-to resource for optimizing their plant nutrition to achieve exceptional performance and yield.
Our ideal candidate brings
- 5+ yrs of proven sales account manager experience within the agriculture, fertilizer, biostimulant, and/or soil amendment industry
- Cannabis or hemp experience or interest
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in an ag field, including: agribusiness, agriculture, agronomy, crop science, soil science, plant pathology or related field
We offer a competitive salary and strong bonus potential with no cap. We are unable to offer medical benefits currently due to our size, but we offer a strong salary that allows you to purchase the coverage of your choice.
Your focuses will include:
- Understanding and conveying the fit between customer needs and TerraBiotics’ product features.
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and maintain a pulse on market trends.
- Developing and executing a planned approach by creating a sales plan for accounts and contacts to target, activities, and milestones leading to the generation of sales in alignment with TerraBiotics’ growth strategies
- Proactively research, qualify and cultivate new leads within target market through pursuit of inbound leads, networking, referrals, and travelling in-person to prospect retailers, distributors, and growers
- Identify opportunities for industry association participation and retail channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
