Sourcing & Supplier Sales Rep – West Coast
Tamerlane Trading, the world’s first quality verified cannabis marketplace, is looking for a driven, customer centric Sourcing Supply Representative to join our motivated Sales team.
In this unique role, you will be responsible for sales and business development while engaging with suppliers in a vendor support role. You will be prospecting, onboarding and supporting new clients interested in selling their products on the Tamerlane Marketplace by joining the Tamerlane Network of verified Buyers and Suppliers. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients ensuring their objectives are met, while negotiating short and long-term supply commitments which will create a stable and consistent supply-chain, is a critical part of this role. This job also includes physically inspecting and grading cannabis and hemp material and inputting detailed product information into our inventory platform.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the General Manager to develop and execute a territory plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust supplier and inventory pipeline.
- Employ strong knowledge of key industry players, competitors and market dynamics.
- Prospects, cold calls and formal presentations of company pricing, products, promotions and services to gain new business with strategic clients.
- Plan and develop visitation schedules using our CRM platform.
- Qualify prospects via the phone, email and webinar meetings.
- Develop effective negotiation strategies to enable success.
- Grade and standardize cannabis and hemp products each month at volume.
- Road warrior traveling the state visiting multiple production and processing facilities each day according to a weekly priority list.
- Estimate and manage your time and logistics efficiently; set your schedule and arrive on time, consistently.
- Import and/or create inventory records according to our inventory system.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently. Investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports and make recommendations to management.
- Have and maintain reliable transportation.
Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of market procurement analysis, sourcing category strategy, supplier ill relationship management cost models, negotiations and supplier continuous improvement programs.

- Extensive cannabis knowledge and strong familiarity with cannabis and hemp throughout the entire life cycle of the plant (clone, veg., flowering, flush, harvest, cure).
- Be able to identify and verify quality standards across all material types including: A-Flower, B-Flower, trim and all forms of concentrates.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of cannabis processing and extraction, while also understanding how the regional legal adult-use structure works.

Job Description*
- Work remotely, managing customer sales accounts statewide.
- Master company CRM, inventory and order processing and sales systems.
- Become customer’s main administrative contact for all transaction and transport processing.
- Provide stellar customer service to all parties in the wholesale supply chain.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and provide resolutions.

Core Responsibilities:
This is currently a 100% remote position, full-time with multiple meetings, video conferences and potential site visits throughout the day. Your ability to manage your time and focus while working remotely is critical to your success in this role.

Prospecting New Accounts

- Professionally present the Tamerlane business plan and services to potential customers.
- Assist in the completion of the required Tamerlane paperwork and help process the first customer transaction.
Building Existing Business
- Monitor the available inventory in real time and reach out to your clients who may be interested in specific material
- Process orders using the Tamerlane inventory management and deal processes.
- Own the sales process and monitor delivery status to ensure your customers are satisfied.
- Work with your existing accounts to understand their business needs and help secure them the regular material supplies they need to succeed
