Position Summary:
The Packaging Aide provides manual labor to support the activities, operations, and management team of the Packaging Department abiding by policies, procedures and operational guidelines.
Essential Functions

- Employee must package the product without degrading the quality, weighing it on a state-certified scale to an exact weight and placing the product in the bag without damaging the product.
- Properly note all packages and product increments on the proper form for reconciliation.
- Employee is responsible for printing labels for each package and adhering them to the bag.
- Employee is required to fill the bags with nitrogen, close them and heat-seal them according to company policy and procedure.
- Employee should be trained and have a basic knowledge of Metrc as it pertains to the Department. Employee must be able to competently enter strain, batch, package ID, weight increment and quantity information into Metrc.
- Packaging staff is responsible for representing the brand and our products and must be familiar with product knowledge.
- Packaging staff must prove they are trustworthy, cautious and attentive when handling products.
- Employee must exhibit consistent processing technique, tracking, and meeting production goals.
- Packaging staff must follow the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with the Company's mission, vision, goals, and objectives in all areas of their work.
- Packaging Aide is responsible for clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day, and other duties as assigned.

- Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the Company and the state while processing/packaging patient medicine.

- Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught & guided in areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming & curing; initially focusing on curing and packaging with other areas being taught as the employee shows interest while still maintaining their capabilities as a packager.
- Skill in analyzing potential problems with a product being processed/packed; ability to identify problems with batches that may have been overlooked and bringing these issues to their managers' attention.

Work Environment: Work is performed in an indoor cannabis cultivation facility, which may be odorous at times.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to sit/ stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous packaging experience.
- Must demonstrate basic understanding of the packaging processes.
- Combination of experience and education will be considered.
Additional Requirements:
- Nevada driver's license or State ID card
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be approved by the Nevada Cannabis Control Board to receive and maintain an agent card

Job Description
The Post Harvest Aide is responsible for manicuring wet and/or dry flower from stalk and break down plants to process/trim them to meet quality standards. Post Harvest Aides are also responsible for tracking the batches that they trim including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the unusable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state and local laws and regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Break flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product; employee must track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking and disposal by managers and trim/sugar leaves to “usable by-product” (trim) to the MIP.
- Employee must be able to identify various problems with any strain/product and be able to communicate with direct supervisors as necessary.
- Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills.
- Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.
- Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.

Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 35 pounds (75 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and product.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Driver's license or State ID
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be eligible to register for and maintain a Nevada Marijuana Establishment Agent Card
