Job Summary
The Manager of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development, under the direction of the COO, leads the strategic visioning and implementation for two separate companies: Rooted In, a cannabis organization and Shanti Ventures, a restaurant organization.

This individual will directly manage a staffer at each location that will assist in the implementation of their vision for each location.

This role envisions a strategic thinker with proven experience leading successful sales, marketing, and business development efforts. Leading success factors will include working collaboratively across the cannabis and restaurant teams.

Skills

Description
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include conducting market research, producing promotional materials and analyzing sales data. Our ideal candidate is able to interpret customers’ behavior and suggest creative ways to increase brand awareness. Ultimately, you will ensure our company’s marketing efforts help us achieve our immediate and long-term business goals

Sales:
- Set and manage sales goals
- Develops and implements sales campaigns
- Develop strategic plans, forecasts, budgets, and analyze performance at the account and title level;
- Manage sales partners and vendors;
- Conduct annual business reviews with partners.
- Develop new business partnerships

Business Development:
- Research, identify, and develop new business opportunities, including the opening of new markets
- Monitor and analyze industry trends for threats and opportunities, including new products.
- Lead special projects that will advance business development and/or fulfillment efforts.

Marketing:
- Evaluate the outcomes and return on investment of marketing and advertising campaigns, pursue best practices, and benchmark against industry trends
- Drive, implement and assess direct marketing campaigns
- Lead procurement and vetting of website development partners and projects;
- Drive qualitative and quantitative analysis of marketing activities and trends;
- Collaborate on marketing collateral and design of book covers;
- Ensure that the website is a sales-driven platform;
- Collect, analyze, and act on key information, including metadata and search engine optimization
- Maximize the use of social media and digital marketing
- Drive seasonal promotion, advertising, and other assets

Requirements
- BA required.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in managing sales, marketing, and business development.
