WHO YOU ARE:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows established high-complexity analysis methods and procedures
- Works closely with lab technicians to ensure samples are analyzed shortly after preparation
- Follows sample progress with LIMS/record keeping
- Ensures all data is transferred accurately to LIMS and identifies any data errors
- Assists with Quality Assurance
- Prepares samples for high complexity testing, including routine sample preparation and breaking down samples
- Participates in monitoring levels of inventory and preventing stock-outs
- Assures proper calibration and function of laboratory equipment, including routine and preventative maintenance
- Assists in the upkeep of cleanliness in the laboratory, including workspace organization, disposal of waste, and cleaning of glassware
- Assists in training and onboarding of new Lab Technicians
- Assists in daily prioritization of samples depending on rush status

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Must be minimum 21 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field of study or minimum 2 years of experience using the below instrumentation types
- Proficiency with one or more of the following instrumentation types: HPLC, GC, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS
- Knowledge of sample preparation techniques
- Must be proficient with computer and mobile phone applications
- Must be able to lift/move items up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time

- Follows established procedures for processing of specimens for analysis. Log samples into the system
- Organizes samples and plans out the individual test preparation needed for each sample
- Prepares samples for testing on high complexity testing
- Assures proper calibration and function of Laboratory measuring equipment
- Maintains Laboratory Safety Policies
- Participates directly in writing new or changed procedures and protocols
- Assists in the upkeep of cleanliness in the laboratory, including workspace organization, disposal of waste, and cleaning of glassware
- Operates syringes, pipettors, and works in sterile environments
- Handles chemicals for preparing mobile phase
- Takes pictures of samples
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Must be computer and mobile phone savvy
- 2 years college or university education; 1 year of full-time practical lab experience desired

Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Sonoma Lab Works, the President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
- Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
- Ensure that the laboratory operates in accordance with the ISO- 17025 Laboratory Standard.
- Manage negotiations with global suppliers and vendors.
- Implement key performance indicators to drive improvements while providing leadership and growing the team.
- Work with cross-functional leaders to align and execute overall strategies.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
- Establishes and administers the department’s budget.
- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
- Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
- Performs other business-related activities such as (but not limited to) business development and sales.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to travel by air and auto, overnight travel occasionally required.

As a Sonoma Lab Works Sales Representative, you will manage a sales territory where you identify and meet with decision makers for targeted growers, identify sales opportunities, generate and follow-up on leads, educate prospects on our services, and close sales.

You are curious about science and cannabis testing, and you are a natural when it comes to building relationships. You will cultivate knowledge of our lab services to educate customers and help them with their business needs. You’ll also generate leads and new opportunities for Sonoma Lab Works through building relationships as a member of the cannabis business community.
Essential Duties
- Follow up on leads, cold call new prospects, educate customers on our products, and close sales
- Work as a team with operations to ensure a smooth and successful customer experience
- Develop, grow and maintain knowledge of our products and services, customer needs, market dynamics, competition, and sales strategy
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships virtually and through regular site visits to ensure maximum client success
- Proactively and enthusiastically develop relationships both internally and externally. Attend industry conferences and events
- Conduct research using online and print resources. Develop target lists
- Follow a sales and marketing plan to meet or exceed monthly quotas based on total sales and new contracts
- Follow procedures in compliance with industry regulations

We are seeking a dynamic CFO who is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup in a rapidly growing industry. The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. The successful candidate for this role will not only be expert in finance and GAAP, but also have experience in M & A and be prepared to play an important leadership role in a start-up organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy, Planning and Management:
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization toward short and long-term operational goals, budgets, forecasts, and growth plans.
- Create and establish financial objectives by leading forecasting and budgeting reviews
- Work cross functionally with other department leaders to establish and track budgets.
- Provide financial perspective and solutions for pivotal decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational models.
- Analyze investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
- Lead and implement financial policies, procedures and processes.
Financial Analysis
- Review and analyze monthly financial results, providing analysis & recommendations to achieve annual budget.

Experience Requirements

Who You Are:
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced startup in a rapidly growing industry. You are flexible, an excellent multitasker, a quick and critical thinker who enjoys interacting with others - especially clients. The Field Sampling Supervisor oversees a team of Field Sampling Technicians (FST) and coordinates Southern California pickup routes. In addition to managing, this position reports to the Logistics Manager.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Essential Duties:
- Oversees the operations of the FST team
- Point of contact for FSTs; fields questions from clients or techs
- Conduit of communication between FST team, lab staff and clients
- Reviews documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Creates and manages schedule pertaining to pickups/sampling events
- Ensures correct information is relayed in advance, and time allotments are appropriate
- Risk assessments for internal and external issues (CHP stops, DUIs, Road Closures)
- Conducts onboarding training for new FSTs
- Completes intake for all compliance batches through Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Knowledge of batch sampling structure
- Assist with inputting client R&D intakes in the absence of front desk staff
- Organization of the field sampling office
- Tracks and orders sampling supplies and equipment
- Ensures vehicles are maintained and serviced at the appropriate intervals
- Understand and ensure compliance with the BCC Regulations in relation to sample pickup and transport
- Completing field sampling events as needed
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have a current, valid Class C California driver’s license
- Must have a good driving record
- Familiar with database management systems
- Comfort with basic mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction, weight measurement
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Education/Experience:
- 4 year degree from an accredited college or university; or 2-year college education and 2 years of work experience.
- Prior experience working for a licensed cannabis distributor or testing lab is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
