The Processing Manager is responsible for coordinating with the Management Team to update and manage line-level and lead team to execute a comprehensive manufacturing plan.

- Monitor and maintain work areas in accordance with relevant regulations and safety codes, compliance (WSLCB)

- Team management and development, including, but not limited to:
- Development, task standards and expectations, training plan for new tasks and cross training, issue resolution (performance working with Management, intrapersonal working with Human Resources)

Solstice was the first commercial producer and processor of medical cannabis in Seattle in 2011, and has been a key contributor to regulatory and process standards over the last 8 years. Today, Solstice has cultivation and processing headquartered and manages a growing portfolio of cannabis brands across Washington State. The company is in the midst of significant growth, driven by increased supply-chain control, and looking for a highly motivated leader to join the production team at our Cascade facility in Ephrata, WA.
*Position Summary
The Production Greenhouse Lead will generally own all tasks related to execution in a 22k sq ft perpetually flowering greenhouse facility. The Greenhouse Lead will manage line-level team members to complete scheduled tasks in coordination with the site Production Manager and the Horticultural Production Manager. The facility consists of two vegitative bays, four flowering bays, and a temporary dry room. There will be scheduled tasks to be performed on a daily, weekly, and quarterly basis, as well as weekly meetings with the site Production Manager. In addition to the tasks assigned, the intention behind this position is for the individual to be entrusted to strategize new ways to improve the current environment in a economically and environmentally sustainable way.**Skills and Requirements**Comprehensive understanding of the English language

- Managing and executing general growing operations within the Greenhouse
- Provide weekly updates and participate in weekly planning meetings.
- Monitor and report on plant health.
- Monitor and manage appropriate irrigation.
- Plan and apply appropriate control measures.
- Organization and planning of jobs tasks
- Shipping, receiving, and the organization of supplies and equipment
- Working with multiple departments to determine needs
- Maintains and repairs equipment within Greenhouse
- Responsible for cleanliness and safety of Greenhouse
- Responsible for security and LCB compliance.
- Responsible for data logs for environmental conditions, and plant development
- Responsible for daily logs of tasks performed
- Harvest planning and timing
- Table flip and sanitation
- Reports and repairs emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.

Extraction Lab Manager
At Solstice, the Lab Manager is responsible for the management of the Solstice lab, which includes planning inventory, improving and executing extraction processes, scheduling and managing lab team, and coordinating with the management team to execute a comprehensive manufacturing plan.
This position asks for a consistently positive, friendly, and assertive manner with partners, regulators, retailers, leadership, and the Solstice team. An organization in our type of growth mode needs to have exceptional human resources to help support a quick-paced, and sometimes chaotic, start-up environment.
Lab Manager Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Operation, training, and oversight of Ironfist Fabrication EX4-502 Extractor and the associated post-extraction equipment necessary per SOP’s product specifications
- Coordination with Inventory Manager and Operations Manager to ensure that materials and labor necessary for finished concentrate generation per manufacturing plan are in place
- Management of appropriate environmental conditions within lab and for all lab materials
- Execution of manufacturing plan to meet specific timelines on a daily, weekly, and monthly horizon
- Development of SOPs to continue to improve consistency and quality – ability to identify key variables from inventory to solvent to process that impact quality and yield
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory in all stages of production, and data collection to assist the Operations Manager in review and analysis
- Work with colleagues, Leads, Managers, and Directors to solicit ideas on how to update/improve processes to be incorporated into the Solstice Way
- Management of hard goods and soft goods inventory and work with the Purchasing Associate to ensure adequate supply line for execution of manufacturing plan
- Monitor and maintain work areas in accordance with relevant regulations and safety codes, compliance (WSLCB)
- Overseeing execution of strict maintenance and cleanliness schedule
- Maintain department ascetics and functionality
*Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2+ years of related hydrocarbon experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with Google Suite and Excel
- Strong knowledge of cannabis, particularly extraction & concentrates
- Ability to work extended hours and non-traditional schedule as required
- Ability to work in and thrive in a sometimes chaotic startup environment

- Must be able to drive a car, van, truck, and travel via plane or train; lift up to 50 pounds

Processing Associate Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
- Trim and package cannabis per specific SOP
- Assist with the harvesting of plants from internal/external farms, which could include some or all of: unloading from vehicles, traveling to farms, hanging, arranging, waste removal, etc.
- Assist with pruning, transplanting, waste removal and cleaning in the internal production
- Process cannabis material at various stages (wet, dry, cure) to include, but not limited to:
- Bucking, trimming, sorting, long-term storage
- Weighing and packaging flower, rolling pre-rolls, and/or concentrates per specific SOP
- Preparing and building finished goods packaging (pre-roll packs/inserts, concentrate packaging, applying stickers etc.)
- Packaging finished products (Flower, PreRolls, Concentrates, etc.)
- Will be expected to work at least 8 hours a day, up to 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), with potential for weekend work
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years old
- Professional appearance and proper personal hygiene
- Comfortable/ability to work in cold environments (~50 degrees F)
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced, startup environment and changing tasks/projects on a routine basis
- Previous warehouse labor experience preferred
- Attention to detail and excellent hand eye coordination
- Environment will consist of office, indoor grow production, warehouse, and/or distribution environment, as well as out-door elements on a frequent basis
