Job description
Direct, manage, motivate and provide administrative support to the activities and operations of multiple retail locations. Develop and review standard operating procedures; policies and operational guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction and employee productivity across the region. Create and monitor the completion of training/ development and education of retail staff members. Exercise significant authority over inventory management to ensure proper distribution levels and the satisfaction of monthly sales objectives for all company retail locations.
Essential Functions:
- ?Develop a vision, strategy, and focused plan to increase bottom-line profitability within the retail department
- ?Develop and oversee projections, sales, budgets, and costs
- ?Identify products and services with the greatest potential for increasing revenue.
- ?Create pricing models and policies through collaboration with Accounting & Marketing Teams
- ?Set performance standards for each individual dispensary location
- ?Strive for profit growth, and motivate staff toward achieving the same goal
- ?Utilize performance data from inventory control systems and point-of-sale software to make informed management decisions, drive business, and take appropriate corrective actions in the direction of retail department operations
- Schedule regular store visits to verify and monitor operations, adequate staffing, satisfactory inventory levels, sales trends,proper cash handling, exemplary customer service, and overall compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- ?Ensure regular audits are performed and that each location is held accountable for the results
- ?Recruit, train, and direct Retail Location Managers toward meeting individual store goals
- ?Provide leadership through procedural development to ensure staff effectively executes the Company’s mission and objectives
- ?Establish a diverse, thorough training program for new hires, and continued education for existing staff
- ?Educate, challenge, motivate, and provide guidance to Store Managers and their staff members
- ?Assess managerial staff through the process of critical performance reviews
- Foster a positive organizational culture that is growth-enabled and focuse on providing a superior customer experience
- Define and implement product positioning plan through collaboration with Marketing Team
- Maintain a high-quality brand image through focused merchandising Develop and foster positive working relationships with outside vendors
- Address issues by suggesting practical and creative resolutions
- Monitor store operations to ensure that a safe and secure work environment is maintained
- Ensure that any limiting operational factors are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner

Minimum Education and Experience*: ?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous Retail Management experience preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
Working Conditions*
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, climbing and repetitive motions.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
- Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong smelling marijuana odors, cleaning chemicals and be able to tolerate exposure to various products.

- Oversee and managing the Human Resource functions; planning, organizing, and controlling all activities
- Coordinate with hiring manager to create and post job roles by department
- Filter, screen, and interview qualified candidate for hiring manager
- Develop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
?Implement and annually update compensation programs; conduct annual salary surveys and develop merit pool (salary budget), analyze compensation, and monitor performance evaluation program and revise as necessary
?Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures, maintain Employee Handbook
?Maintain state and local compliance with regulatory rules, laws, and regulations

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

?A minimum of 5 years related HR experience, at least 3 of these years in a management role
?Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits
?Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
?Experience in implementing and administering performance programs, preferably in a company that put strong emphasis on performance metrics
?Must have demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining diverse employee talent, including creating and implementing recruitment strategies
?Exceptional project and personnel management skills
?Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advising patients on suitable cannabis products based on their condition, preferences, budgets, and past reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Processing transaction using dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) System.
- Learn and keep yourself updated about products and services, policies/procedures, industry news and changes in regulations.
- Responds to all patient' questions, concerns or suggestions and takes action when necessary to obtain help from management.
- Ensuring that dispensary interior and exterior remain clean and well organized to provide warm and welcoming environment.
- Educate patient on the safe use of their selected cannabis products
- Correctly weighting, packaging, and labeling cannabis product as per Missouri regulations
- Must be well-versed in various cannabis categories such as strains, hashes, edibles, topicals and accessories. Within each of these categories, the budtender must know the difference between Indica, Sativa and Hybrid strains; with the ability to give the proper recommendations and mg dosage for patients and POS accuracy.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the current medical cannabis law, industry trends, and regulations, and communicate changes to staff and patients
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Ensure the safety, security, and satisfaction of both the patients and employees.
- Checking and verifying patients’ identification documents to ensure that they are of legal age.
- Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Customer Service:
- Provides superior customer service for vendors and patients
- Oversees orders and deliveries to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries
Competencies:
- Minimum of one year experience in customer service industry.
- Thorough understanding of Missouri and local marijuana laws and how they apply to the operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment

- Accurate data entry and record keeping
- Operates with direct supervision from the Upper Management Team
