Job Title: Store Manager
Reports to: Operational Special Project Manager
Job Class: Full-time, exempt
Position Summary:
The Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dispensary by overseeing the delivering of financial goals, staff management, operational and customer service expectations. We expect the Store Manager to think like a business owner and we will incent, reward and develop this role with that same mindset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee dispensary service team including but not limited to: Reception, Budtenders, Safety, Dispatch, Delivery Drivers, and Promo Team
- Ensure proper time is effectively split between all areas as needed to deliver financial results
- Ensure all operational manuals are up to date (should be done quarterly)
- Ensure all technology platforms are updated with our most current information (specials, events, marketing materials)
- Grow sales by staying informed on new sales trends and hot brands
- Manage inventory flow so store is in-stock, not overstocked, will have an inventory budget to manage to each month
- Expand margin by ensuring pricing and assortment strategy is executed with the support of the Field Marketing Manager
- Ensure all staff is on time, uniforms are clean, and they are well groomed
- Handle all returns, exchanges and employee purchases
- Manages all supplier relationships with the goal of differentiating the store within the marketplace to win market share
- Complete checkouts for budtenders and delivery drivers ensuring all cash handling procedures are being followed
- Responsible for all cash in drop safe and vault
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed before opening and all closing duties are completed, and the venue is completely secured before departing for the night
- Leads management team to ensure proper follow-up on all action items and address any personnel issues
- Schedules for success of the business to drive sales, service and expenses
- Communicates all pertinent information to the Operational Special Project Manager to ensure business continuity
- Make recommendations on all pertinent employee issues relating to the company, including first or second interviews for all prospective staff
- Handles customer issues and concerns in a professional and effective manner
- Handle all scheduling and coordinate staff onboarding
- Responsible for ensuring all employees have current licenses & permits
- Responsible for all POS updates and maintenance in conjunction
- Ensures the venue is compliant with all pertinent employee policies and procedures
- Execute marketing efforts are implemented with the support of the Field Marketing Manager
- Always ensure proper ambiance and cleanliness within store
- Ensures the brand is always being properly represented
- Train and develop employees focusing on assistant managers, shift leads to develop our team from within
- Work with management team to create and implement staff incentive programs to increase level of service, promote upselling, and enhance staff morale
- Participate in local area business organizations and networking groups
- Read industry publications to keep up to date on trends
- Enforce all policies and procedures of store and the company
- Perform any other duties and projects assigned by company
- Walk the store on a regular basis to ensure the facility is properly maintained and address any damage that needs to be repaired
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years management experience in high volume establishments with extensive knowledge in the cannabis industry
- Must be able to input and access information in the POS system, delivery systems, marketing outlets, computers, etc.
- Must be comfortable learning new skills
- Must have a hands-on, proactive management style

Must be motivated, hard-working, and passionate. This position requires someone who is a strong leader with the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.

- Direct staff performance and follow up with developmental performance improvement plans and corrective action as needed

Education:
Must have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
- Four years’ relevant experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time
- Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends
