Job DescriptionRenaissance Solutions is looking for a Regional Communications Manager to join our growing company. As aBoulder, Colo.-based professional administrative services company, our focus is on emerging industries, including the cannabis industry. Renaissance Solutions manages a diverse portfolio of business and real estate interests. Over10 years of operations, we have grown into a multi-state company with nearly 400 employees. As we have expanded nationally, our need for regionally-focused communication - both within the organization and within the communities of operation - has grown significantly.
This position works within the organization’s Communications Department to formulate messages largely concerning cannabis business operations. This position also assists with coordination of extensive Corporate SocialResponsibility programs through community outreach to non-profit partners, and sourcing new community partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the VP of Communications and Director of Communications to maintain and continuously improve employee internal communications in conjunction with senior staff.
- Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
- Assist in the planning, editing, and writing of content for a variety of internal communication mediums, such as staff intranet, newsletters, memos, or regular email bulletins.
- Assist in keeping employees and partners abreast of progress on both general operations and community engagement efforts and answer any questions they may have.
- Assist with day-to-day activities, including employee communication, media outreach and working with nonprofit partners.
- Craft and deliver presentations when requested.
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization.
- Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communication content accordingly.
- Assist with the internal communication responses to crisis situations which impact organizational perception and reputation.
- Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication.
- Assist with tracking of large communications projects including annual audits and updates of company standard operating procedures.
- Assist employee resource groups ensuring regular communication to group members. Also ensure regular communication to the entire staff about ERG activities.
- Responsible for sending regularly scheduled companywide surveys. May also be responsible for removing identifying information from survey responses to ensure anonymity and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Writing skills: You need excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source updates/information from employees. You may be asked to write in a variety of tones from technical writing projects, to personal messages to employees.
- Interpersonal skills: You need good interpersonal skills in order to work with communications and HR departments. You need to possess the ability to communicate with staff appropriately. You must be able to identify where to direct certain communications from staff to ensure that employee needs are met.
- Speaking skills: You need strong speaking skills; you may be called upon to give presentations to staff.
- Creative skills: You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies. You will also need to think creatively to ensure that communications are regionally focused, finding innovative ways to connect with our employees and community.
- Digital Skills: Familiarity with information technology, especially digital means of communication, is essential. Renaissance Solutions works primarily with the Google Suite for company communications and information storage; familiarity with the Google Suite or willingness to learn Google Suite best practices is necessary.

- Independent initiative*: Success in this role requires a high level of independence, openness, and the ability to communicate innovative solutions to issues that may be identified within the organization.
- Education: BA in journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing is an advantage, though other degrees will be considered. Education requirements may be waived based on background, experience and communication skill.
- Experience: While a minimum of three years of experience in communications is preferred we are willing to explore candidates with less experience if they are willing to dedicate their time to their job and learn quickly. Candidates with strong experience in community engagement and partnership maintenance may also be considered.
Salary/Pay Rate
- $50,000-$60,000 based on experience

Terrapin Care Station is looking for a strategic people leader to drive and execute Terrapin Care Station’s local Michigan operations. The Director of Operations is responsible for coordinating multipledepartments to operate efficiently and cohesively by communicating goals and monitoring projecttimelines and follow through. The production manager, the growers, the lab manager, IT and thecompliance department all work closely with the Director of Operations for systems and protocoldevelopment, implementation and documentation, managing organizational change, and cultivatinginter-â€departmental synergy. The Director of Operations works with and reports directly to the C.O.O.,acting as an intermediary between managers and associates managing communication, accountability,systems implementation, and monitoring overall performance and productivity across multiple departments with a constant focus on regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for monitoring constant changes in a regulatory climate, amending daily protocols and procedures to keep Terrapin in adherence with all state and local regulatory requirements. It is a vital to the organization that the Director of Operations is a purveyor of the rules and regulations that govern daily operations of the business, including company policy. Therefore, it is important that the director be well versed in the state and local laws surrounding licensed facility management.
Responsibilities:
- Manages communication across multiple departments driving directives and interdepartmental
goals and communications in order to implement plans, protocols and procedures in line withthe company vision
- Oversees and monitors department manager activities and directives through regular
department meetings and briefs the owner on the current status of open items, projects in thequeue and general day to day departmental issues or concerns
- Carries out the directives and provides various deliverable items requested by the C.E.O.
- Works with local and state regulatory agencies to monitor and adhere to all points of safety and
compliance, researching code requirements, administering changes in protocols and proceduresto maintain a positive and professional relationship and a general reputation of compliancewithin the community
- Monitor and train other department managers to handle inspections and assist with license
renewals, helping them understand major points of compliance and regular upkeep ofregulatory reputation and an overall urgency surrounding the importance of compliance in alldaily operational activities
- Delegates reporting, data mining and entry, software implementations, the development of new
protocols to monitor and maintain various performance indicators in good standing according tocompany-â€vision
- Manages and monitors risk and exposure surrounding safety, Department of Health compliance,
labor law compliance, employee relations, and keeps a pulse on facility communications
- Meet with dispensary owners and top distributors and collaborate with the Terrapin Sales team
to monitor customer satisfaction and keep an eye on market demands to ensure that we have astrong and competitive product offering to secure and maintain a stronghold on the MI MedicalMarket
- Monitor Accounts Receivable with accounting teams to ensure order fulfillment, adherence to
term agreements and on-â€time payments
- Attend meetings with manufacturers, service contractors and providers to explore potential
new products, software, or equipment to drive efficiency, productivity, communications, andoverall profitability of the company
- Manages and monitors department achievements, prioritization of projects and duties, research
and development, and new product introductions, providing constructive criticism and positivepraise through regular performance audits and bi-â€annual reviews
- Monitors adherence to company policy and mission statement, keeping company culture and
values at the forefront of all daily actions and communications
- Work with department directors and location managers to ensure that employee onboarding
and off-â€boarding communications and notifications are filed on a timely basis, monitoring ActiveDirectory and Account access for privacy and security of company property, including IP
- Work closely with the licensing team and contribute to application submissions through
explaining standard operating procedures and documenting business processes includingsecurity and compliance protocols in a technical format
- The Director should be able to deal effectively with personnel requests, scheduling, and issues.
This would include but not be limited to handling recruiting, onboarding personnel, managingtime sheets, disciplinary actions, and termination of employment
