PACKAGING TECH JOB SUMMARY:
Full-time position on our Packaging team assisting with all aspects of preparing cannabis for shipping to multiple dispensaries. Packaging Techs are responsible for handling and processing dry plant material and assisting with general packaging of all cannabis products within our Facility. The most critical role is to ensure that all products are properly measured and packaged for shipment and sale. Working within a team, the Packaging Tech ensures our top-quality products arrive at the dispensaries as expected.
JOB DUTIES:
- Accurately weigh, count, seal, package, and label ready-to-use cannabis products. This includes, but is not limited to: bulk flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, concentrates, and other marijuana infused products.
- Preparing all boxes and products for orders. Making sure all needed labels are on the proper boxes and product.
- Ensure all labeling is properly done to adhere to compliance requirements.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the processing area.

Responsible for packaging products into the proper containers with accurate labels. Working within a team, the Processing Tech ensures our top-quality products arrive at the dispensaries as expected.
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepares specific equipment and plant material for extraction.
- Performs set up and clean up tasks.
- Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware.
- Assist with cannabis extraction preparation, winterization and filtration.
- Preparing all boxes and products for orders. Making sure all labels are on the proper boxes and product.
- Package product into proper containers with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations

DUTIES:
- Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient treatment of product as part of our packaging assembly.
- Accurately perform filling, packaging, and labeling of all cannabis products within the Facility. This includes, but is not limited to: bulk flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, concentrates, and other marijuana infused products.
- Responsible for high-volume quality control, packaging and labeling of ready-to-use cannabis products in preparation for shipping to multiple dispensaries.
- Preparing all boxes and products for orders. Making sure all needed labels are on the proper boxes and product.
- Responsible for weighing, counting, sealing and labeling Pure Dakota products.
- Ensure all labeling is properly done to adhere to compliance requirements of the company and the State of ND.
- Perform label checks to ensure each label is correct before printing.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the processing area.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one-year experience in Packaging, Labeling or Detailed Assembly Line work preferred. Experience working in a regulated environment preferred. Experience with computers and seed to sale tracking software is preferred. Previous experience in medical cannabis industry preferred. Excellent skills in basic mathematics. Basic knowledge and understanding of Cannabis processing; proper technique and handling of finished product, so as not to degrade the quality while packaging.
SKILLS:
Demonstrated ability to understand weights and measures in standard and metric systems. Extremely high attention to detail required, including the ability to detect quality defects and perform accurate counts and measurements. Ability to work flexible hours including: mornings, nights, weekends, and rotating holidays. Must be self-motivated and have a good work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Duties:

Complete daily scouting procedures of all vegetating plants looking for pests, disease, and damaged or affected foliage and records data. - Responsible for the horticultural duties associated with the care and maintenance of plants.
- Monitor soil moisture levels to ensure the plants are receiving adequate moisture and nutrition.
- Maintain accurate daily activity and operation logs as directed utilizing designated software
- Participate in production activities for designated stages of plant growth
- Maintain good agricultural practices
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of two years of cultivation experience including cloning, transplanting, defoliation, harvesting, drying, trimming and waste disposal preferred. Experience in pruning and executing proper canopy management. Experience in understanding and maintaining the health of plants, weed and pest control, applying fertilizers, and utilizing farm equipment preferred. Experience with data entry software required.
Knowledge:
Background knowledge in the cultivation of marijuana preferred, and the understanding of the demands of the commercial cultivation facility. General knowledge of horticulture equipment and irrigation systems. Extensive knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options preferred. In-depth knowledge of micronutrients, beneficial bacteria and nutrient implementation. Knowledge of the cannabis plant preferred.
Must be willing to participate in an extensive criminal history record check. Valid driver’s license required along with reliable transportation. Ability to lift over 50 lbs. required. Minimum age of 21 years required.

The most critical role is to ensure that all products are properly measured and packaged for shipment and sale. Working within a team, the Packaging Tech ensures our top-quality products arrive to the dispensaries as expected.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to small details, possess good math skills, maintain consistency across large volumes of products, with the ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over eight-hour work periods without losing quality.

DUTIES:
- Assist with all extraction and processing in accordance with state and local laws along with standard operating procedures, i.e. closed loop butane, cryogenic and ice water trichome separation and rosin formation.
- Safety operate, maintain, and make adjustments and repairs to laboratory equipment such as liquid chromatography systems, pumps, scales, glassware, evaporators, distillation, and other laboratory equipment.
- Prepare equipment and plant materials for extraction.
- Responsible for the extraction of cannabis and purification of cannabinoids in the daily production of the facility – extract through packaged products for sale.
- Run closed loop extraction system.
- Conducts alcohol extraction to produce distillate by short path distillation.
- Maintain detailed records of lot and batch numbers, weights, and all relevant information of the extraction lab. Maintain up to date records of all lab test results.
- Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or related discipline preferred. Experience in the various methods and equipment used for the extraction of cannabis required. Knowledge and previous experience with oil extraction techniques. Understanding of chemistry methods and techniques utilized for cannabinoid extraction and purification. Strong math skills required. Experience with computer use, electronic data management, and chemical analysis reports. Good documentation and communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
