Job Responsibilities:
This is a full-time position, with 5 daytime shifts per week, which may include either a Saturday or Sunday shift.
- Assist in audits for all items related to research projects in the greenhouse, such as seeds, plants, packages, plant stakes, and labels.
- Create packages, labels, and stakes for greenhouse projects using printing equipment.
- Assist in maintaing spreadhseets and other associated documents related to projects in the greenhouse.
- Support in activities such as seed planting, plant sampling, inventory, and plant harvesting.
- Ability to learn and work successfully inside of METRC, cannabis regulations, and complex research growing protocols.
- Support and enhance efforts in cost control, waste and energy reduction, quality, and safety.
- Accurately complete data collection and project documentation in compliance with research standards and OLCC requirements.
- Maintain and contribute to a safe working environment, following all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Contribute to the culture of cooperation and curiosity where learning and continuous improvement is encouraged and supported.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of data entry experience
- Considerable knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel or Sheets) and/or data management software
- Knowledge of industry rules and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time, set priorities, and handle multiple obligations at the same time. Must also be detail-oriented, independently motivated, and actively promote a clean and orderly environment.
- Ability to plan and track goals, projects, and plants proficiently and accurately in various software programs.
- Ability to effectively share knowledge with other staff.
- Certification in METRC and/or experience with quality assurance programs a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in indoor or outdoor agriculture environments in the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, as well as a general office environment.
- Standing and/or walking for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks. Bending and lifting repeatedly.
- Able to carry up to two 2 gallon pots per hand and one 3 gallon pot per hand when spacing plants. Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy and manipulate machinery.
- Available for occasional overtime work if needed based on project cycles.

POSITION SUMMARY
Progressive Plant Research conducts cannabis R&D and breeding in a highly-specialized facility under an OLCC Cannabis Research Certificate. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with other scientists to discover, validate and characterize new genes and genetic markers in cannabis and hemp. You will balance multiple projects on complex, non-routine assignments and apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of molecular biology to contribute to the development and evaluation of new laboratory processes focused on supporting the discovery of genes controlling plant traits. Due to the integrated nature of this laboratory, you will support routine genetic and chemical profiling, in addition to novel research and development of projects. A successful candidate for this role is someone that is reliable, quick and efficient, has impeccable attention to detail, and demonstrates proficient and comprehensive knowledge of the defined skill areas. We have a rigorous training program and cannabis research experience is not required. Must be 21 years of age or older.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process high volumes of samples with minimal technical supervision.
- Collaborate with other scientists to discover, validate and characterize new genes and genetic markers.
- Perform molecular biology tasks including but not limited to, gene cloning and sequencing.
- Coordinate tasks across multiple genotyping projects; plan, prioritize and manage genotyping projects to meet objectives.
- Support the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project goals.
- Supervise, mentor and advise junior staff members and assist in overseeing the lab in the absence of the Laboratory Director.
- Contribute to the development and author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for novel and existing laboratory procedures.
- Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Troubleshoot experiments and communicate results effectively.
- Present results of work, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to management and collaborative teams.
- Participate in functional team activities including safety, housekeeping, training.

POSITION SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Horticulture, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a closely related field; or equivalent certification/experience; or in lieu of degree, have equivalent knowledge through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction.
- At least 4 years experience in a regulated, analytical or medical laboratory environment. Demonstrated competency in laboratory techniques are required. Familiarity with standard operating procedures/work instructions.
- Computer skills including Google Docs and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel, Gene alignment software, and BLAST search experience.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (cloning, DNA/RNA purification, PCR/RT-PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis).
- Experience with DNA and/or RNA and performing extractions, purification, and sequencing.
- Experience troubleshooting molecular biology techniques.
- Experience with primer design and editing gene sequences (chromatograms).
- Experience with BLAST searches, gene alignment, and homolog identification.
- Proficient with a pipette (single, multi & electronic).
- Experience with multiwell plates (96- & 384-well format).
- Ability to serve as a lead for other technicians by instructing, demonstrating, assigning and reviewing standard laboratory procedures.
- Excels in critical thinking, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible and can adapt to changing project priorities and goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
Follow all facility and cultivation standard operating procedures.
Perform plant maintenance such as; plant inspections, defoliating, propagation, and sampling.
Support production areas daily or as directed, including: sweep all work areas, sanitize benches, wash down rooms, and prepare new projects.
Regularly sanitize tools, equipment, and pots used in the grow facility to ensure sanitary practices.
Perform accurate data collection to support inventory and projects.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the greenhouse while performing tasks
Being able to work flexible hours as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an entry level Lab Tech to add to our busy laboratory team! Progressive Plant Research conducts cannabis R&D and breeding in a highly-specialized facility under an OLCC Cannabis Research Certificate. You will work under the general supervision of the Laboratory Director and other senior team members and will be assigned production assays to further our research. Your focus will be on DNA extraction and PCR, natural product chemical analysis by HPLC and GC, as well as a variety of production and R&D tasks.
To be successful in this role, you must have exceptional attention to detail and focus. This position requires someone that is reliable, efficient, follows directions precisely, maintains accurate records, and keeps a clean and organized work space.

Job Responsibilities:
This is a full-time position, with 5 daytime shifts per week, which may include either a Saturday or Sunday shift.
- Maintain plant health and vigor in a large-scale commercial cultivation environment, managing water and nutrient requirements, growing mediums, light requirements, temperature control, airflow, humidity, and so on.
- Skillfully manage cloning, seeding, transplanting, defoliation, topping, trellising, harvesting/trimming, drying, curing, manicuring, waste disposal, etc.
- Diagnose and correct plant nutrient and health conditions for optimal plant health.
- Monitor and oversee on-time plant schedules, inventory and supply to meet crop needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Ability to learn and work successfully inside of METRC, cannabis regulations, and complex research growing protocols.

Position Summary
The Cultivation Customer Support Manager consults large commercial growers to scale their production in the most cost effective and sustainable way, using our genetics, high performing seeds and cultivation expertise. This role understands the customer’s agronomic practices, product needs, cultivation planning process, and uses that to make customized recommendations to increase yield and productivity for the grower. The Cultivation Customer Support Manager will coordinate with customers and partners to provide comprehensive cultivation expertise and support services. This role is critical to deliver on our customer promise and ensure customers have a successful experience with our products. This individual will be involved in all aspects of customer support, on-boarding, product trials, knowledge transfer, growing, planning, and product portfolio management for key accounts. A successful person in this role will be ‘the voice of the customer’ to bring customer needs, market trends and new ideas on genetics and cultivation practices back to the business.
Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Progressive Plant Research is seeking a quality Staff Grower to help perform all tasks of a large scale commercial cannabis cultivation environment including but not limited to; monitoring water and nutrient requirements, growing mediums, light requirements, temperature control, air flow, waste disposal, and non-organic and organic preventative sprays. The ideal candidate has experience in agriculture, with moderate knowledge of the cannabis plant and its genetics. Must be willing to work supporting multiple roles in the start up phase of the new facility. Must be very organized, detail oriented, driven, and focused on cleanliness in a brand new facility. Must be on-site a minimum of 5 days per week with rotating weekend schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks of a large scale commercial cultivation environment including monitoring water and nutrient requirements, growing mediums, light requirements, temperature control, cloning, seeding, transplanting, defoliation, topping, temperature control, air flow, waste disposal, and non-organic and organic preventative sprays.
- Monitor, oversee and control all aspects of the greenhouse and grow room environments, follow plant schedules and organization to precisely project all crop needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Be capable of learning and complying with processes such as METRC, Oregon laws regarding cannabis production, and complex research based growing protocols.
- Provide support to leadership for problem and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.
- Propose crop improvements and act on the changes only with a written approval by the Head Grower.
- Complete all documentation to meet the company standards and OLCC requirements.
- Supervision of inventory to meet the goals of each project.
- Assist in the development and/or maintain growing protocols and nutrient regiment.
- Any other duties deemed essential as requested by the Head Grower.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Horticulture Diploma or a degree in Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture equivalent. Equivalent experience in a commercial and research environment.
- Knowledge and experience with large scale commercial plant cultivation including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, air flow, etc. and harvesting/trimming, drying, curing, manicuring.
- Must be able to learn and eventually master complex greenhouse environmental control systems.
- Knowledge of OLCC rules, regulations, and production requirements.
- Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing and harvesting cannabis (including storage/handling techniques).
- Experience with operating industrialized indoor grow systems and an understanding of soil growing methods (including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria and nutrient implementation).
- Ability to think in both small and large scales (i.e. both 300-10k+ square foot canopy facility).
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time, set priorities and handle many obligations at the same time.
- Ability to train staff and verify the effectiveness of their training.
- Any certification in METRC or experience in pharmaceutical or quality assurance within a highly-regulated environment would be considered an exceptional asset.
- Proficient in the use of computers and use of relational databases.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to carry up to two 2 gallon pots per hand and one 3 gallon pot per hand when spacing plants.
- Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Must be comfortable bending over repeatedly during an 8 hour shift.
- Work in indoor greenhouses, outdoor fields, and general office environments.
- Must be available for weekends and overtime if needed.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week but more, as needed, to get the work completed in a timely manner.
- Must be able to handle high intensity light, warm and dusty environments.
Employment is Contingent on the following:

Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Manager will be managing seed and plant inventories through the state administered cannabis tracking system (CTS) as well as the company’s breeding program software. This position will manage all activities related to the entry, tracking, and reporting of regulated product to ensure compliance with state regulations, to ensure excellent seed quality standards, and to support detailed research and development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately track regulated product throughout the facility.
- Complete daily reconciliations in CTS (METRC).
- Ensure all cultivation batches of immature plants are properly identified.
- Conduct inventory audits, including physical counts and weight audits.
- Assist with accurate waste reporting and tracking.
- Provide support to the transportation team in preparation of regulated product being transported.
- Receive deliveries of regulated product and verify accuracy against CTS generated manifests.
- Provide support to the Quality Assurance and Compliance teams.
- Assist with continued review and development of departmental SOPs.
- Maintain inventory of METRC plant and package tags.
- Seed cleaning on various types of plant equipment such as gravity tables, scalpers, dust collectors.
- Manage cleaned seed, mother plant, and clone inventory levels.
- Identify and develop and/or implement quality procedures.
- Monitor and verify correct inventories of supplies are maintained for seed cleaning and packaging as well as location supplies. Order supplies as needed after approval from management.
- Ensure physical condition, cleanliness and organization of seed storage area, mother room, and clone room by inspecting equipment; issuing repair requests and requisitions for replacement.
- Create and maintain detailed paper and electronic records of all seed, mother plants, and clones received/ cleaned/ shipped to ensure state and federal guidelines are met.
- Occasionally assist with farm operation tasks as needed in times of peak workflow.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree, Bachelors preferred.
- At least 2 years of proven experience managing inventory in METRC.
- At least 1 year of experience with maintaining and operating a seed cleaner.
- At least 3 years of general seed industry experience.
- Preferred proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and METRC.
- Understanding or ability to learn the complexity of compliance requirements governing. our business, from regulatory agencies such as the O.L.C.C. and the D.O.A.
- Experience working with inventory and audits.
- Must have ability to do accurate detailed work under time constraints and deadlines and must have the ability to adjust to seasonal surges in workload.
- Must have ability to learn technical aspects of seed enhancement process.
- Highly organized with a focus on efficiency and an impeccable attention to detail.
- Must have ability and discipline to interface professionally and effectively with management and fellow employees under sometimes stressful situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment, where flexibility, adaptation to change, ability to problem-solve and determination are valued and necessary attributes for success.
