Full Job Description

Portland Purveyor Co is a medical cannabis company operating in full compliance with state and local laws. Our mission is to provide patients with award winning medical cannabis. We are currently hiring Cultivation Assistants in our state of the art cultivation facility.

Successful candidates will possess a strong work ethic, a passion for horticulture, a willingness to get their hands dirty, and a desire to continually learn. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the Company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.

Responsibilities and DutiesThe main responsibilities of Cultivation Assistants will be to support the Cultivation Technician(s) and Lead Cultivator with the daily care of the crop (from propagation to harvest) and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility.

Preferred ExperienceWork history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges. Experience in horticulture, botany, manufacturing, construction, & many other fields can be beneficial to work in this environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to spend extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching

• This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds for a distance of 50 feet

• Close visual focus required

• Must be a Maine resident

• Must pass a drug test and background check

• Must be 21 years of age or older

Pay: $12-17 / hour

Part Time: 20-40 hours / week
