POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager coordinates, organizes, and performs all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company’s genetics by working with partners across the value chain from seeds to shelf. This person will be responsible for securing a swift time-to-market for our genetics by developing, monitoring, and executing a reliable, transparent, and efficient logistic plan and managing all logistical activities across the value chain. Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing all Supply Chain related activities involving the procurement of material, inventory planning, optimization and control of logistics flows, external supply assurance, project management/coordination, and other material metrics in the spirit of continuous improvement. Provide leadership for optimization projects, material changes, supplier capability, defect reduction, or other projects in support of external supply chain efficiencies.
This Includes:
- Manage all logistics and monitor partner performance meet quality, appropriate lead times and delivery requirements between different partners in the value chain
- Manage all material and product movements to enable seamless flow of goods and on time delivery between value chain partners
- Manage material availability balanced against customer service levels, inventory, quality, costs and risks: Identify bottlenecks, prepare decisions and take actions towards engineering, suppliers, factories, field to manage the critical path both for time-to-market and ramp
- Capture and analyze flows of material and product
- Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
- Represent the Supply Chain in a cross functional project team to manage logistics of bringing our genetics to market from seed to shelf
- Manage the ramp up of products in the supply chain to support the product roadmaps
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes
- Evaluate the impact of and plan the implementation of changes
- Challenge the project on timing and supply chain impact
- Monitor proper execution of the supply chain plan
- Determine the logistic consequences of proposed plan changes and related actions
- Maintain and execute the system and processes required to generate a standard product forecast.
- Leads execution and assists in the development of external partner master plans in alignment with overall company goals and timelines.
- Communicate with external partners and internal departments to develop reporting strategies that align with business plans and objectives.
- Leads audits and performs root cause analysis as needed to investigate any deviations from expected supply or customer complaints in relation to the products. Report all complaints and root cause analysis to Quality management.
- Pro-actively leading continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency by reviewing, suggesting, validating, and/or implementing new systems and/or processes reduce waste, facilitate continuous improvement, and encourage cross-functional workflows cross-departmentally.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to identify and define requirements and ensure that the scope and objectives are met.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain in an agricultural, laboratory, and/or cannabis setting.
- Demonstrated logistics and supply management experience creating enterprise value.
- Must be a self-starter, demonstrating initiative with the ability to work in an independent and organized manner.
- Ability to develop and follow protocols, policies and procedures with a high degree of diligence.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) consults large commercial growers to scale their production in the most cost effective and sustainable way, using Phylos’ genetics, high performing seeds and cultivation expertise. This role understands the customer’s agronomic practices, product needs, cultivation planning process, and uses that to make customized recommendations to increase yield and productivity for the grower. The TAM will coordinate with product development, customer success, sales and marketing teams to provide comprehensive cultivation expertise and support services to our customers and partners. This role is critical to deliver on our customer promise and ensure customers have a successful experience with our products. The TAM will be involved in all aspects of customer support, on-boarding, product trials, knowledge transfer, growing, planning, and product portfolio management for key accounts. A successful TAM will be ‘the voice of the customer’ to bring customer needs, market trends and new ideas on genetics and cultivation practices back to the business.
LOCATION:
- Located in Portland, OR, working from home or onsite in Hillsboro. Includes work from a remote location (approx. 30%) combined with on site customer visits across the US (70%).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess level of customer proficiency, expertise, and production infrastructure to successfully produce cannabis and hemp products at scale.
- Assess standard operating procedures for cultivation, production and grow teams.
- Provide advice, recommendations and best agronomic practices to large scale growers and be a subject matter expert for growing hemp and cannabis.
- Collaborate with customers on trials, new product development and innovation launches.
- Support customers to enable customer success through each stage of product adoption: trial, limited production, and commercial production: consultancy role with customers to manage product lineup and lifecycles, new product assessment, advancement and commercial introduction pre-commercial trials of our products transitioning customers from limited production to commercial production.
- Establish and manage scope, milestones and timelines for grows with customer: ensure grows perform as expected from delivery through harvest, provide information to keep our customers informed and projects on track liaison between customer and the Phylos tech circle.
- Grow partnership, roadmap customer success, goals, and strategize for increasing customer value.
- Cross-functional collaboration; Share key tech circle learnings with sales, marketing, and product management, Share key customer learnings with tech circle, product management and marketing.
- Document, refine and update product agronomic SOPs based on customer insights.
- Work closely with the breeding, product management and technology development to provide input that improves product development and release: acquire and disseminate market intelligence gained from customer and marketplace interactions, support development of marketing and technical collateral, and develop pre-commercial tech sheets for product advancement.
- Provide internal updates to stakeholders and generate reports for internal use (e.g. summary reports on all grows in a particular region, summary reports on success or failure for all grows)
Skills
- Formal Education: BS degree in Horticulture, Agronomy or Agriculture
- 5+ years experience successfully cultivating hemp and cannabis plants on a commercial scale.
- Experience in crop consultant advocacy in agronomic/horticultural with deep subject matter expertise in crop inputs, genetic selection, management and crop production systems.
- Experience to persuade customers to engage with new, innovative products (clones to seed switch)
- Demonstrated, verifiable track record of consistently maintaining customer relations and driving value as a horticulture/agronomy expert.
- Experience in serving the development needs of the customer, addressing customer concerns.
- Effective project management and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage simultaneous projects with competing resources and timelines.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for someone to take on a variety of accounting related activities for the company, including payroll & benefits administration. In this hands-on role, you’ll ensure Quickbooks is reconciled and our inventory, expense reporting and fixed asset systems are up to date. You should be detail oriented, curious and organized, love working with spreadsheets and have solid system and collaboration skills. The position will interact with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as with our partner companies and will ensure things run as simply and transparently as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the Quickbooks monthly close process, ensuring all transactions are posted and reconciled in a timely manner. Prepare journal entries and other month-end accruals as required.
- Process multi-state payroll on a biweekly schedule for multiple companies.
- Administer Employee Benefits including eligibility tracking and setup. Assist with annual renewals and compliance reporting. Monthly reconciliation of benefit billings and payroll deductions.
- Prepare monthly billings for partners, ensuring compliance with agreements.
- Administer the Quickbooks sync with the SOS Inventory module. Coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure items are up to date.
- Administer Zoho Expense, coordinating with the Purchasing Manager to ensure all credit card transactions are recorded.
- Ensure all fixed assets are recorded in our fixed asset subledger. Post depreciation and ensure annual property tax returns are filed.
- Reconcile vendor accounts, posting accounts payable in Quickbooks as needed.
- Create payment batches on the bank (or other) website(s) as approved for the week. Post payments to vendor accounts in Quickbooks and ensure remittance is communicated.
- Assist with monthly and annual reporting projects (1099’s, tax returns) as well as process improvement initiatives.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of payroll and accounting principles
- Good basic math skills and the ability to locate numerical errors and reconciliation gaps
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (particularly Excel), GSuite (including Drive) and QuickBooks

SUMMARY:
The Customer Success Specialist is the primary line of communication with customers. Your role will be to provide exceptional service to both new and repeat customers. You will need to uphold brand messaging and clearly communicate a working knowledge of the science services Phylos offers to the cannabis and Hemp industries. You will receive training on our internal ecommerce software, CRM, inside sales, testing services, rudimentary biological and genetic science, and the growing cannabis and hemp industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clear, timely, respectful and professional responses to client questions via phone, FreshDesk, email and occasionally text from 8am to 5pm PST
- Common inquiries include: product and price information, details of our testing services, assistance with sample collection and status, assistance with creating and utilizing online accounts and navigating the Phylos Galaxy.
- Maintain a proficient level of knowledge across all internal systems and processes including, but not limited to e-commerce, CRM, lead generation platform and telephone systems.
- Use discretion to escalate customer issues to the department manager when required.
- Assist customers with re sampling if required.
- Assist with intake and fulfillment of samples from customers when required.

Position Summary:
Phylos is looking for an experienced and detail oriented Quality Lead to help ensure continuous improvement while adhering to company goals and regulatory compliance. The Quality Lead will work with all levels of the company and will always be involved in all aspects of Quality systems development, execution, and improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of products, deviations, process changes, CAPAs, technology transfers, and other metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations to Quality Management for continuous improvement.
- Draft, review, approve, and maintain controlled documents, validation plans, change controls, equipment inspections, and scientific reports as needed.
- Assist in all aspects of Quality Systems development and in program execution and enhancement.
- Provide direction and motivation to Quality Technicians as recommended by Quality Management.
- Investigate the root cause of customer complaints and initiate CAPA where appropriate.
- Lead weekly Quality team meetings and provide project updates to Quality management.
- Schedule, conduct, and analyze findings for internal audits where applicable, to ensure compliance to current SOPs, processes, and/or regulatory requirements.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics relating to Quality for Quality Management review.
- Assist with training programs for new employees and maintain training records.
- Design and provide recurring training on quality procedures and company best practices as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Biology, Agriculture, Chemistry and/or other related fields preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GMP, and GLP preferred.
- Ability to develop and follow protocols, policies and procedures with exactness.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to work on multiple priorities at once with high attention to detail.
- Proven experience in implementing processes in collaboration with cross functional teams.
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
- Current experience with MS Office, Google Suite.
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter demonstrating initiative with the ability to work in an independent and organized manner.
- Working knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing and quality control techniques, 5S, Six Sigma, and Quality systems.
Other Physical Requirements: May be required to wear protective eye-wear, hearing protection, ability to travel by car or plane, high frequency of computer keyboarding, high frequency of viewing a computer monitor.
