The Product Specialist is the friendly canna-whiz behind the marijuana dispensary counter who guides medical patients and adult patients through the process of understanding, selecting and purchasing cannabis products, such as flower, concentrates, edibles, and topical. The Product Specialist must specialize in customer service and are not only extremely knowledgeable in the area of medical marijuana, but friendly and compassionate individuals.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Deliver exceptional customer service to create memorable experiences
· Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and comply with established policies and procedures.
- · Be creative and entrepreneurial and have a willingness to adapt to new conditions or initiatives
- · Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained.
- Work with management team to increase sales and foot traffic.
- Assist patients/customers with understanding product benefits and offerings.
- Educate patient/customers on cannabis properties and selection of proper genetics according to the customer's desired effect, relief for patients' ailments or per request.
- Maintain product knowledge and keep up to date on trends.
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities and compliance reporting per company policy.
- Daily compliance with dispensary policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer and information technology skills.
- Previous experience as a product specialist/retail sales preferred but not required.
- Previous experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of Cannabis products (flower, edibles, vape cartridges, topical lotions etc.).
- Basic understanding of the medical benefits of specific Cannabis products.
- Ability to work with a team as well as independently.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check.

Cultivation Technicians are responsible for the care of medical marijuana plants during the immature, vegetative, and flowering stages. Cultivation Technicians execute operations pertaining to plant care such as pruning, transplanting and up-potting, watering, feeding, ensuring environmental control, and inspecting plants for signs of deficiency or infestation, as well as labeling and tracking plants using METRC tags. They implement cultivation practices as indicated by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and often operate in specific areas, as separated by plant production areas, in order to focus their role and responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the health of immature, vegetative and flowering plants through observation and adherence to established SOPs
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with regard to plant health and traceability, in order to uphold the company’s standard for quality
- Perform plant maintenance, feedings and irrigation events, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) according to a set schedule and SOP, as determined by the Head of Cultivation
- Apply pesticides in a safe and effective manner, wearing appropriate PPE, and after ample training and instruction from the Head of Cultivation
- Ensure the grow facility is kept free of pests, viruses, or other diseases by preventing contamination through proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and biological controls established within
- Implement a mother plant maintenance program with oversight from the Head of Cultivation
- Observe and immediately address issues with plants, equipment, or environments
- Ensure accuracy of plant inventory, including strain names, plant tag numbers, and counts of plants
- Check and record accurate data daily, including but not limited to: pesticide applications, issues found when scouting plants, and any other items required by management
- Break down and set up plant production areas after harvest, including: sweep all work areas, sanitize crop benches and prepare to transplant new crops
- Assist with post-harvest duties as needed
- Assist in inspections, whether initiated internally or through a governing entity, using inventory and compliance audits
- Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and efficient systems
- Maintain organization and sanitary conditions within the grow facility
- Regularly sanitize tools, equipment, and production areas used in the grow facility to ensure sanitary practices
- Abide by high personal hygiene standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience in agriculture, landscaping, horticulture or marijuana cultivation preferred
- Knowledge of uses and benefits of cannabinoids preferred
- Basic strain and plant structure knowledge preferred
- Ability to pass a background check required
- Energetic team player, willing to take direction and learn new skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Willingness to comply with state regulations and guidelines
