The Oceanside Dispensary is dedicated to providing excellent patient care on every visit in an efficient and friendly manner. We are currently seeking entry level, full-time, Receptionists to join our Pasadena, MD dispensary. The Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional individualized customer service, educational consulting, and patient record management.
The Receptionist is responsible for promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously receiving and directing all telephone calls, customers, and visitors. As well as being responsible for helping to meet the needs of patients/caregivers and for communicating dispensary procedures and policies in a professional and effective way, ensuring compliance with Maryland state and local laws regarding medical cannabis. The Receptionist will also prepare and process outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries, including signing for deliveries when necessary and notifying recipients. They will ensure that all common areas are kept neat, clean, and stocked with appropriate supplies and will maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed. The Receptionist will also monitor building access and the safety cameras.
Responsibilities:
· Greet patients and caregivers as they enter the facility
· Ensure compliance with state and local laws by requesting from each patent/caregiver their identification/medical cannabis license
· Verify patient/caregiver identity and medical cannabis identification card status, validity, and amount of medical cannabis available to patient
· Be able to explain the dispensary’s procedures and policies to patients/caregivers and ensure smooth processing
· Listen and respond to patient/caregivers needs and questions
· Handle phones, paperwork, and filing (paper and electronic)
· Ensure that all common areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
· Monitor patient/caregiver access, monitor safety cameras and maintain security awareness
· Assist in other duties as needed and directed
Requirements:
· Must be 21 years of age or older
· At least a high school diploma or GED
· Must be reliable, honest, responsible and mature with a strong work ethic
· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, positive and cheerful attitude, with a strong customer service orientation
· Experience and comfort using computers and various software programs
· Successful completion of a thorough personal reference check and background check

Job Description
Oceanside Dispensary in Pasadena, MD is looking for a Patient Outreach Coordinator to immerse themselves in the community and build trusting, reliable relationships with potential and current patients at our dispensary. This Patient Outreach Coordinator will be an expert on the State’s Medical Cannabis program and responsible for attracting and retaining our potential and current patients by offering exceptional patient service and providing consistent community outreach. This individual must be self-driven with exceptional initiative, goal-oriented and able to show compassion to all of our patients.
Responsibilities
· Understand and follow all applicable State rules surrounding the Medical Cannabis program and the promotion of medical cannabis
· Track and follow up with all patients via CRM platform
· Assist patients with their applications and provide information on medical cannabis
· Conduct patient seminars on the State Medical Cannabis program and medical cannabis
· Inspire patient confidence and create patient loyalty
· Represent Oceanside at industry expos and events
· Maintain a positive and professional image of Oceanside by acting as a liaison between the dispensary, referral sources and the general public
· Understand and follow HIPAA Privacy Rules for the protection of personal health information
· Accept responsibility for monthly new patient growth of the dispensary
· Track patient referrals
· Educate physicians on the State Medical Cannabis program and medical cannabis
· Target and create new strategies for increasing business in a highly competitive market
Qualifications
· Patient focused, compassionate, and empathetic with a strong work ethic
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Exceptional patient service skills; experience in health care related field a plus
· Strong attention to detail
· Public speaking skills with the ability to present in front of large and small audiences
· Desire to learn about products to assist patients
· Highly motivated, self-driven, innovative, team player and able to work independently or amongst teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
· Ability to deal with problems and resolve them in a professional manner, along with possessing a high level of critical thinking skills
· Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations, including weekends/night when applicable
· Strong knowledge of medical cannabis and the state Medical Cannabis program
· Adapt and thrive in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
· Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and operating in a HIPPA-compliant manner
· Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Oceanside
Additional Requirements
· Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
· Must have a minimum of 3 years in Customer Service
· Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
· Must be approved to receive an Agent badge
