We’re looking for a senior bookkeeper whose experience ranges from input of daily transactions through the production of monthly/yearly financial report preparation in a completely virtual environment. Responsibilities:
· Manage financial transactions and oversee posting procedures
· Work directly with clients and oversee all bookkeeping and accounting tasks

Position Summary:
The Cannabis Financial Controller will be a professional with strong accounting and analytical skills to be responsible for the company’s accounting and a variety of financial functions including the month-end close, hands-on day to day accounting operations (G/L and A/P), accounting research, systems implementations and process improvements. The Financial Controller is expected to function at a high level of expertise and competency and use sound judgment while producing consistent results. Responsibilities:
- Maintain thorough knowledge of state and federal Cannabis finance regulation

- Manage and maintain a chart of accounts; ensure effective management of standard journal posting and monthly account reconciliations; review journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and budgets. We are currently seeking a seasoned tax preparer for the 2021 filing season (January-April 2021). Candidates must have 2-3 years of public accounting experience in the preparation of tax returns and a thorough knowledge of the tax process. In addition to that, experience with UltraTax CS (or SaaS version of UltraTax CS) is required. This position is full-time during tax season and flexible off-season. The ideal candidate may have previously worked as a tax accountant; certified public accountant, tax preparer or has experience preparing tax returns.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients in the tax preparation process and prepare and file tax documents
- Take incoming calls from clients to answer tax questions and set up tax preparation appointments
- Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following all company procedures regarding information handling
- Responsible for preparing complete and accurate tax returns while delivering outstanding customer service
- Compute taxes owed and prepare individual and business tax returns (and other tax compliance slips) ensuring compliance with government standards
- Prepare year-end tax forms (Form 1040, 1040EZ, 1040A, W-2, W-4, W-4P, 1099-MISC, 1098, 941, 8962, etc.)
- Investigate and correct discrepancies/ irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports
- Respond to client questions and queries
- Raise identified technical issues with manager or engagement partner
- Update manager or engagement partner on the progress of engagements
- Liaise and correspond professionally with clients and colleagues
- Set-up files for new and existing clients and assist with completion of administrative work
- Manage multiple files simultaneously
- Compile and organize client records

We are looking for marketing and business development strategist to assist us in promoting our brand and boosting sales. Prior experience in marketing, business development and/or sales is required. Cannabis experience is a plus. The position is contract based and is paid on an hourly basis ($25 per hour minimum), with additional commissions and/or bonus payments that can easily reach six figures, depending on performance.
