ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position requires supervision of product procurement, delivery, and management, and responsibility of quality assurance including supervision of personnel, daily auditing, quality improvement activities as they pertain to inventory management, and interaction with customers and suppliers. Daily tasks are related to inventory management and providing support to personnel responsible for adherence of SOPs and best practices. A successful candidate will support the planning, scheduling, procurement of materials from specific vendors and manage inventory levels and reporting. Additional specialized duties will be assigned as needed.
- Coordinate with Manager to manage and forecast product inventory needs based on current and forecasted sales trends and procure desired products as required by schedules and demand.
- Support the implementation of new products and the maintenance of existing products through an online ordering system.
- Monitor stock and communicate levels with Manager.
- Perform ongoing research into a variety of purchasing-related areas.
- Leads and trains inventory staff ensuring proper inventory procedures, reporting, investigating, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Ensures the dispensary inventory is stocked with high-quality products, which are regularly replenished to guarantee an uninterrupted flow of necessary goods required for operations.
- Participates in educational opportunities to stay current to changes in the medical marijuana industry and the State’s regulatory framework.
- Reviews proposed changes to regulations that will affect the dispensary and ensure that products offered for sale in the dispensary comply with safety, packaging, labeling and ingredient guidelines enacted by the State.
- Responsible for, and provides training in, accurate record keeping, proper storage of product, and dispensary best practices ensuring the safety of employees and patients.
- Participates in weekly GM meetings and inventory meetings.
- Maintains a high level or organization in product holding areas.
- Assists General Manager with inventory control by performing receiving, transferring, reporting, and reconciling as delegated by the Manager.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver an extraordinary customer experience, including interpersonal habits, to all team members.
- Resolves patient complaints and responds to patient special needs.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Ensures training of team members provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to meet and maintain company goals of 100% compliance.
- Promotes teamwork and motivates team by establishing clearly defined roles, expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm and the company’s vision.
- Ensures compliance with all organization policies and employment laws, and is consistently fair in the treatment of team members.
- Communicates regularly with team members through one-on-one discussions, group meetings, soliciting input, answering questions and ensuring all lines of communication are open between management and non-management team members.
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Sets high personal standards for self, seeking self-development through monitoring own performance and learning about the fields of retail management and its best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High-school Diploma/GED completed prior to start date.
- Prior retail supervision experience
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
- Highly organized and sharp attention to detail; ability to organize processes, data, and documents.
- Ability to set and meet goals and deadlines, sense of urgency to complete tasks
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Excellent customer service skills: ability to anticipate customer needs.
- Flexibility, creativity, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Manager position requires oversight of the day-to-day operations to ensure the highest quality performance and compliance for programs and services at a medical marijuana dispensary. The position requires willingness to learn all aspects of medical marijuana and related compliance, and serves as a resource for all personnel. An ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to assist in creating an environment to enable the organization to fulfill its mission, to meet or exceed its goals, and to maintain compliance.
OPERATIONS
- Responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the dispensary such as opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegating, and daily scheduling, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed.
- Supervises the control of dispensary money, including register counts, cash delivery/pickups, safe deposits, and collecting invoices as delegated by Manager.
- Assists with schedules, inventory control, receiving, transferring, reporting and reconciling, as delegated by the Manager.
- Maintains knowledge of all computers, technology systems, and software systems, and ensures response to all systems problems by contacting information technology support and seeking solutions.
- Performs and reviews compliance related audits to determine if the organization is complying with its policies, procedures and applicable regulatory standards. Collaborates with impacted parties to develop and implement action plans to address findings. Provides on-going strategic direction and guidance related to the compliance functions.
- Ensures that all company policies and procedures are adhered to within the facility. Provides staff with appropriate policy change summaries and answer questions regarding reasons for change.
- Fulfill job duties of support staff, as needed.
- Attend and preside over meetings, as delegated by the Manager.
- Communicate operational needs to the Manager, including staffing needs, quality of service, inventory changes, atmosphere and security.
- Maintains knowledge of cannabis products, patient benefits, potency, testing procedures, and compliance, and acts as a resource for all onsite staff members.
- Participates in weekly GM meetings and inventory meetings.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Greets patients and offers assistance with products and services.
- Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver an extraordinary patient experience, including interpersonal habits, to all team members.
