Cultivation Manager – Indoor
The Indoor Cultivation Manager is responsible for all aspects of management, including overseeing cannabis growing and cultivation management by strategizing cannabis production over the year and monitoring the progress of crops for optimal quality, health, and yield.
This role requires experience as a managing grower.
This position also requires organization and confidence in growing abilities, a great feel for the health of the plants and experience in advising a highly productive team of growers and associated staff.
Job Skills, Abilities, Qualifications:
· Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field, plus 8-10 years’ experience in commercial agriculture and related agricultural engineering as outlined below.
· Manage climate control systems to ensure that crops benefit from optimal environmental conditions.
· Perform testing and chemical analysis to determine appropriate nutritional regimen for each plant
· Monitor all plant needs in the facilities including irrigation, fertilizer, nutrients, insect and disease management, and crop timing.
· Provide technical growing expertise, advice, and direction to team members.
· Adhere to work safety standards in day-to-day operations.
· Ordering and Intake of supplies.
· pH and EC testing and application of corrective measures as needed.
· Cloning/Transplanting/Propagating plant stock.
· Knowledge of Horticulture equipment and irrigation systems.
· Ability to plan-ahead, trouble-shoot, anticipate problems, and problem solve.
· Ability to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a large-scale grow operation.
· Basic knowledge of Metrc policies and procedures.
· Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
· Communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
· Previous experience in the marijuana/cannabis industry is required.
· Must be at least 21 years of age & obtain OMMA Marijuana Handlers permit.

- Stay current with updates and changes to the Metrc software.
- Maintain Metrc database internally with all site locations to ensure all data is accurate and current.
- Performs on-site inspections and performs random system audits.
- Works closely with Farm Manager’s, Distribution Manager and Trim Manager to ensure all products and plants are recorded properly and are following Metrc and OLCC policy and procedures.
- Education level: no requirement.
- Experience: 4 or more years cannabis industry experience including Metrc experience administering Metrc for a licensed business, consulting with licensed businesses on correct Metrc use or equivalent experience with Metrc.
- Specific skills: Deep knowledge of the use of Metrc in a licensed retail, infused products or cultivation setting OR Metrc state guidelines.
- Knowledge of state-required compliance training. (Certification preferred)
- Knowledge and experience in training and education preferred.
- Personal characteristics: self-starter, strong detail orientation, analytical, good people and communication skills.
Job Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Able to periodically bend, reach, and squat.
- Able to physically lift at least 50 lbs.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
