JOB SUMMARY
New Genetics is seeking flexible part-time trimmers to join our facility. Trimmers are responsible for trimming the dry product in preparation for sale and maintaining quality control measures to ensure high quality product. Someone who can maintain organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area and monitor and maintain plant production and quality control measures in accordance with LARA/MRA and the standards set by New Genetics.
**Looking for flexibility, hours will be discussed further in interview.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Manicure buds carefully and to exact specifications.
- Trim quickly enough to meet meet daily/weekly quotas.
- Able to identify molds, mildews, bugs, viruses, etc.
- Clean and maintain your tools and workspace.
- Comfortable working next to others and be respectful of others' workspace and environment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Trimming experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical cannabis law, medicinal benefits preferred, and horticulture skills
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment

JOB SUMMARY
New Genetics is seeking a Cultivation Assistant to join our facility. The Cultivation Assistant is responsible for providing on-site cultivation for one or more medical cannabis gardens. Completion of tasks assigned by the Cultivation Team Lead to monitor and maintain plant production and health. Maintain quality control measures to ensure high quality product. Maintain organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area. Carry out day-to-day plant care including watering, pruning, harvesting and trimming. Monitor and maintain plant production and quality control measures in accordance with LARA/MRA and the standards set by New Genetics.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Plant Care:
*
- Responsible for measuring and mixing nutrient and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to New Genetics SOP’s
- Ensure plant health by pruning, toping, trimming, analyzing plant health according to policy, as well as any other tasks required
- Assist Cultivation General Manager with rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quantity goals for Cultivation Facility
- Clone, plant, water, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools.
- Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them.
- Record information about plants and plant growth
- Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease.
- Fill growing tanks with water.
- Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Identify pests, diseases or infestations and manage the outbreak.
- Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Check and water all plants in cultivation facility as outlined in the Daily Room-Checklist.
- Transplanting plants into larger containers as needed.
- Trimming plants in the vegetative stage and creating clones from material.
- Washing pots/trays/lights, etc. retuning them to the appropriate Clean Room
- Harvesting and Trimming flowering plants.
- Staking weak plants.
- Examining plants for signs of pests or disease.
Facility Cleaning:
- Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation facility
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment and tools including light reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment
Reports and Documentation:
- Assist the Cultivation General Manager with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities
- Ensure accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers, and all other applicable information
- Document according to New Genetics policy the application of all nutrient and/or substances applied to any plant located within the cultivation facility
