As the eyes and ears of the sales floor, it is important that Budtenders practice superb listening skills and display a high level of professionalism. Budtenders provide knowledge and guidance while educating patients about Nature Med’s services and products.
It is imperative that Budtenders provide the best educated recommendation possible when consulting patients, as it is prohibited to make any definitive prescription for patient ailments.
Minimum high school education or equivalent; 1-2 years customer service experience preferred. Budtenders must possess keen listening skills in order to present the correct products to patients. Having sales experience is important but not required. Compassion for patients and confidence in the knowledge base are key attributes that qualified candidates must have.
Cannabis dispensaries offer unique challenges and can be a very fast paced environment. A truly qualified candidate is flexible and can adapt to an ever-changing work environment; constantly juggling many daily tasks at once. Knowledge of cannabis and regulations is required.
As a budtender you will be required to stand for long periods of time, moving about in confined spaces. Some heavy lifting is required from time to time.
Must be able to delegate tasks to employees in a composed and respectful manner and is willing to lead by example.
Must have a valid driver’s license and provide fingerprints for a background check.
Daily Operations
- Daily operations for POS and cash drawers.
- Maintain a clean and presentable sales floor in addition to overall cleanliness of the dispensary.
- Provide assistance for maintaining accurate inventory levels, current documentation of patients and upkeep of operational computers/equipment for daily use.
- Assist in maintaining visual standards of products and displays throughout the dispensary.
- Assist in preparing online orders for pick up
- Direct all media and publicity inquiries to Store Managers
- Assist managers with research, communications and additional projects/tasks as needed.
- Help to maintain the efficient work flow of patients.
- Provide a warm welcome for all. Escort patients around the dispensary through the entire transaction.
- Administer sales transaction while educating patients on medication options, methods of ingestion, various strains and their effectiveness for specifics for ailments.
- Validate patient info and allotment for purchase
- Accurately record patient data from all sales
On-Going
- Keep up-to-date with training and personal education as required by state and local regulations
- Attend and participate in morning briefings and company meetings. Suggest ideas and solutions for improving the patient experience as well as the employee experience.

We are looking to hire an experienced Sales Representative to help us reach new medical and recreational dispensaries across the state. Our new Sales Representative will work as a salaried employee, as well as a 1099 contractor to increase sales across the state and perform popups at dispensaries. You will report to the Director of Ops.
Our ideal Sales Representative will have two or more years of sales experience, in the cannabis industry and preferably within the edibles marketplace. They should feel comfortable cold calling and visiting dispensaries to generate sales, although warm leads will also be provided.
Our Sales Representative must have a Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge and a valid drivers license.
Responsibilities:
-Cold call medical and recreational dispensaries in Colorado
-Physically visit dispensaries to pitch products and speak with purchasing managers
-Follow up on warm leads and contact existing customers to increase sales
-Setup occasional dispensary popups to interact directly with customers and staff
-Send samples to potential clients and solicit feedback
Requirements:
