Our cannabis organization is looking for a Chief Operating Officer, capable of taking us to the next level. We’re looking to make the leap to working as a national brand, and we hope you’re the one to help us accomplish this. You will work alongside the CEO to execute the company vision, put procedures and resources in place to promote scaling, optimize inefficient areas in the organization and coordinate with department heads. Our ideal COO has at least 15 years of experience working with Consumer Packaged Goods organizations at all levels. You should have a strong understanding of the operational requirements and insights into how you can make things better.
The COO (Chief Operating Officer) will have a pivotal role within our company’s operations. They will handle the day-to-day operations and administration of a business. They will report directly to the CEO while collaborating on tasks like three, five, and ten-year plans and working with the CFO on financial projections. From a broader perspective, the COO’s goal is to provide leadership and ensure that the company is maintaining its goals from both operational and cultural points of view.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the organization to meet business goals and projections
- Collaborate closely with the chief executive officer and produce reports on company operations
- Empower the operational team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations initiatives
- Positively represent the company at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanor
- Partner with other C-level executives to accomplish short and long-term operational goals
- Measure and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators
Qualifications and Skills
- Masters in Business Administration, Law, Management or related areas is preferred
- 7- 10years of industry (CPG) experience managing a complex enterprise's human resources, finances, operations, and strategies at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset that translates into leadership skills with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Ability to inspire employees to live up to their potential and optimize their productivity
- Ability to communicate the vision to the board of directors, other C-level officers and company employees

We are currently seeking reliable, hard-working production workers for our expanding operation. In this role, you will be a valuable part of our manufacturing team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and be able to work with a positive attitude in teams and production lines.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and cleaning of boxes, jars, lids, and equipment for packaging.
- Filling gram jars of live rosin, (Shatter, Badder, Sauce, etc.)
- Fundamental knowledge of using scales; stuffing cones, and packaging jars.
- Cleaning of equipment and packaging facility.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of products, materials, and equipment.
- Record keeping of all details pertinent to packaging and inventory.
- Storing of supplies and equipment, disposal of waste, and keeping work area in pristine condition.
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Working collectively and respectfully with other team members.
- Enforcing a culture of safety and attention to detail.
- Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and other co-workers.

Senior Accountant

Job Summary
The senior accountant is responsible for the daily maintenance of the general ledger and product cost accounting, and the monthly production of the reliable, timely financial package. Ad hoc financial analysis will also be an essential part of this position. Cost accounting will require heavy interface with manufacturing operations, understanding the production process and related economics. The senior accountant will also oversee the successful maintenance of an internal control structure for assigned business units.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and a value-added financial package
- Develop and update intermediate balance sheet recs to ensure a reliable presentation of balance sheet with solid controls
- Research and document resolution on intermediate accounting issues.
- Develop, update, and maintain inventory standard costs
- Create and review intermediate general ledger entries for various business entities
- Maintain and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Designs and maintains internal accounting controls over accounting and reporting functions.
- Monitor cash flow and update cash forecast
- Support development of annual budget and related forecasts.
- Research and explain account variances, interpret trends, evaluate fluctuations
- Prepare required documents for annual financial audits

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to be an integral part of our fast-paced startup Cannabis Company. This position will work closely with the Senior Accountants to process all vendor invoices, vendor payments, employee expense reports and perform month-end reconciliations. This is a great opportunity to work for one of California’s best Cannabis manufacturers with the potential for future growth. This is an immediate opening at our fun Moxie location in Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities
- Entering vendor invoices as part of the full-cycle Accounts Payable process; including reviewing, coding, entering and matching invoices to POs
- Preparing monthly journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Resolving vendor discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and statements
- Processing employee expense reports, making sure required support is provided prior to reimbursement
- Fulfilling external audit requests for supporting documentation
- Work on ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- AA or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting organization, preferably in Accounts Payable
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with vendors, employees, and management
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and adhere to deadlines
- Microsoft Excel (Expert), Word, Outlook
- ERP: Microsoft NAV/Business Central experience preferred
- Experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable process in a manufacturing environment preferred
