Our services department is dedicated to providing the most advanced testing in order to meet the rigorous state regulations currently being enforced in California. We are a fully validated and licensed lab by the BCC and the only cannabis lab in the state of California to hold a CLIA license.
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to perform a variety of administrative tasks and support our company’s CEO. Executive Assistant’s responsibilities include managing calendars, making travel arrangements and preparing expense reports. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management skills and be able to act without guidance. Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing personalized and timely support to executive members.
Responsibilities
- Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
- Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage executives’ calendars and set up meetings
- Make travel and accommodation arrangements
- Rack daily expenses and prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly reports
- Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
- Take minutes during meetings
- Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
- Attend conference and virtual webinars
- Organize and maintain the office filing system
Skills
- Work experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar role
- Excellent MS Office knowledge
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with office gadgets and applications (e.g. e-calendars and copy machines)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Full Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The technical supervisor is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the Laboratory. The Technical Supervisor is not required to be on site at all times testing is performed; however, he or she must be available to the Laboratory on an as needed basis to provide supervision. The technical supervisor must be CLS/MLS California State Licensee.A. The Technical Supervisor must be accessible to the Laboratory to provide onsite, telephone or electronic consultation; andB. The Technical Supervisor is responsible for:1. Selection of the test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of2. the test results;3. Verification of the test procedures performed and establishment of the4. laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and5. accuracy of each test and test system;6. Enrollment and participation in an HHS approved proficiency testing7. program commensurate with the service offered:8. Establishing a quality control program appropriate for the testing performed and establishing the parameter for acceptable levels of analytic performance and ensuring that these levels are maintained throughout the entire testing process from the initial receipt of the specimen, through sample analysis and reporting of test results;9. Resolving technical problems and ensuring that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications;10. Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is functioning properly;11. Identifying training needs and assuring that each individual performing tests receives regular in-service training and education appropriate for the type and complexity of the laboratory services performed;12. Evaluating the competency of all testing personnel and assuring that the staff maintain their competency to perform test procedures and report test results promptly, accurately and proficiently. The procedures for evaluation of the competency of the staff must include, but are not limited to:MERSO LABS
TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR
a. Direct observations of routine patient test performance, including patient preparation, if applicable, specimen handling, processing and testing.b. Monitoring the recording and reporting of test results.c. Review of intermediate test result or worksheets, quality control records,proficiency testing results, and preventive maintenance records.d. Direct observation of performance of instrument maintenance and functionchecks.
14. Assessment of test performance through testing previously analyzed specimens, internal blind testing samples or external proficiency testing samples.15. Assessment of problem solving skills.16. Evaluating and documenting the performance of individual responsible for high complexity testing at least semi-annually during the first year the individual tests patient specimens. Thereafter, evaluations must be performed at least annually unless test methodology or instrumentation changes, in which case, prior to reporting patient test results; the individual's performance must be reevaluated to include the use of the new test methodology or instrumentation.

Our start-up is growing and we’re in need of a talented Chemist. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the lab team. They will play a critical role in our laboratory operations . The right candidate for the job will contribute to the long-term success of the company.
What we ask of you
Responsibilities: While experience with the instrumentation below is preferred, it would not disqualify you as a candidate if you do not have experience with all of them. Hands on experience with one or more of the instruments below is preferred.
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and develop/improve methods for all analytical systems including:
- HPLC
- LC/MS-MS
- ICP/MS
- GC/MS-MS
- GC-FID
- qPCR
- Analyze data for accuracy and compare with QC samples
- Prepare standards and mobile phase
- Support method validation
- Support sample preparation
- Follow good lab practices in accordance with ISO 17025
- Prepare certificate of analysis documentation for Lab Operations Director’s review
- Mentor junior chemists
- Execute additional lab duties under the direction of the Lab Operations Director
- Peer review lab notebooks
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Contribute to developing novel products and technologies for Merso Labs customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or Biochemistry or a related field.
- Gas and/or liquid chromatography experience
- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical lab preferred
