Budtender/Patient Advocate
The Budtender/Patient Advocate reports to the Retail Store Manager and the Assistant Store Manager(s). This role is a front line position dealing directly with customers and patients on a daily basis. Budtenders/Patient Advocates are responsible for educating all customers about cannabis and their needs, following the sales process to achieve a successful sale, and soliciting for positive reviews based on the customer experience provided. Accurate cash handling, POS use and management, attendance and reliability, and an overall desire to learn is a requirement of this role. Budtenders/Patient Advocates frequently share customer/patient feedback with Retail Managers to improve the overall experience and product offering. Success in this role is achieved through a positive attitude, showcasing a high level of cannabis knowledge, achieving daily sales targets provided by management, being a team player, and making the customer the priority of every interaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Presence- Must be positive and welcoming.
- Sales Expertise- Must be able to assist customers in selecting the best products for their needs by providing a comprehensive overview of our product selection to new customers.
- Product Knowledge- Must be familiar with the variety of methods used for cannabis consumption. Meet and exceed customer expectations for service. Effectively address customers' concerns and complaints. Be professional in appearance, actions and verbal communications.
- Organization and Cleanliness- Ensure cleanliness. Keep your station stocked and organized. Example: paper bags, receipts rolls, counterfeit pens, etc. Keep the retail store clean and organized.
- Customer Service- Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; and meets commitments.
- Cooperation- Establishes and maintains effective relations; exhibits tact and consideration; offers assistance and support to co-workers; works cooperatively in group situations and works actively to resolve conflicts.
- Teamwork- Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views; gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; prioritizes the success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.
- Ethics- Works with integrity, holds a positive attitude and principles, and upholds organizational values.
- Organizational Support- Follows policies and procedures assigned by Retail Manager; and supports organization’s goals and values.
- Compliance- Prior experience in highly regulated industry preferred. Understands and adapts to all state regulations.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager

- At least 21+ years old
- 1+ years cash handling experience

- Committed to maintaining a full product knowledge across our menu
- Ability to learn and use Point of Sale technology
- Knowledge of and compliance with state cannabis laws
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
