SUMMARY:
The Cultivation Lead is responsible for leading cultivation operations and employees within the cultivation department. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining GAP Standards, plant health, plant maintenance, irrigation, fertilization, IPM, facility maintenance, environmental data collection and reporting, post-harvest production, and order fulfillment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agronomy, or a related field preferred.
- Two (2) plus years of experience in a large-scale commercial grow operation.
- In Colorado: valid and current Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Occupational Badge.
- Valid Pesticide Applicator License or ability to acquire one.
- Knowledge of workplace safety (OSHA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead a large-scale commercial cannabis cultivation operation.
- Perform and/or supervise all required duties in the grow operation, including, without limitation: propagating; planting; watering; tissue culturing; cloning; transplanting; feeding plants; defoliating; cropping; topping; flushing; managing biosafety measures; trimming; packaging; disposing of waste; breeding; phenotyping; flower grading; and managing inventory.
- Works to build and maintain a strong culture within the department of accountability, efficiency, respect, professionalism, and dedication.
- Works with Cultivation Manager to oversee the cultivation procedures and nutrient protocols, keep accurate records, and present the results in a timely manner to the appropriate leadership members
- Maintains cultivation data including, but not limited to, environmental conditions, harvest records, cure records, and spray records.
- Follow company cultivation methods and provide feedback to the Cultivation Manager to assist in developing and improving processes.
- Inspect plants and working areas on a regular and consistent basis as to identify tasks that need to be completed, growth irregularities, and potential crop threats.
- Executes the company’s IPM (Integrated Pest Management) practices established for the control of all types of pests and diseases.
- Helps maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant operation.
- Assists with organization of all equipment present within the grow operation.
- Provides insight and communicates on Facility & Maintenance related matters to ensure the facility is operating for uninterrupted production and efficiency improvements.
- Helps maintain Inventory Tracking System as required as well as ensures regulatory compliance throughout the department.
- Assists with waste disposal according to industry standards and regulatory agencies.
- Assists with planning, development, and implementation of SOPs (standard operating procedures) for all cultivation daily processes, including up to but not limiting, growth cycle processes nutrient regimens, inventory management, and cleanliness
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of state cannabis laws and regulations.
- Comply with all company policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Research Associate-Analytical/Medicinal Chemistry Position

SUMMARY:
The Research Associate is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and evaluating laboratory samples collected during the daily operation of MedPharm Research. Additional responsibilities include the preparation and analysis of analytical samples as outlined in the Institute of Cannabis Research’s LABeL study and the isolation and characterization of minor cannabinoids and other chemical species for lead compound identification for research involving neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s disease. The Research Associate will work closely with the Director of Pharmacology and Laboratory Manager to complete study goals outlined in these projects while bringing their own expertise in analytical and/or medicinal chemistry to these projects.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about using synthetic chemistry and data analysis skills to solve medicinal chemistry challenges and will excel at working closely with scientists across disciplines
- Bachelor’s degree of science with 5+ years, M.S. with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 0-1 years' experience in natural products/organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field with a focus on natural product isolation and characterization or experience in small molecule organic synthesis/ characterization and/or drug discovery experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting.
- Three (3) years of analytical chemistry experience preferred
- Valid and current Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Occupational Badge.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Applicants will be required to work closely with the Director of Pharmacology on isolation and characterization of minor cannabinoids from plant extracts
- Develop and execute isolation methods for natural products and metabolites from complex matrices (e.g., environmental, biological, or plant) via chromatographic and other techniques
- Perform routine maintenance and standardization on laboratory equipment. Diagnose and perform minor repairs on laboratory instrumentation
- Prepare and analyze analytical samples for MedPharm’s HPLC system
- Prepare standards and quality control solutions and perform calculations involving dilutions
- Perform data entry and recovery using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Ensure that analytical results are accurate and precise through the effective use of quality assurance and quality control protocols
- Analyze and prepare data for publication with collaborators and the laboratory manager
- Comply with all EH&S regulations and policies
- Perform additional responsibilities, including special projects, as requested, or assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Extensive experience with a broad range of analytical and preparative chromatographic separation techniques (e.g. HILIC, Ion exchange, LC-MS, Prep and SemiPrep HPLC, Analytical HPLC)
- Applicants must be fluent with high-performance liquid chromatography instrumentation use, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Structure elucidation of natural product isolates using both 1D and 2D NMR techniques
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and skill in the operation of standard laboratory equipment and general laboratory practices
- Ability to design feasible synthetic routes to target molecules and choose appropriate reaction conditions
- Experience with the isolation and characterization of plant natural products (preferred)
- A background in natural products chemistry or knowledge of natural product biosynthetic pathways
- Expanded understanding with laboratory standard concepts, practices, and procedures
- Highly organized with excellent analytical, documentation, time management, and multi- tasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Cannabis Extraction Technician (Overnight Shift) Full-Time

The cannabis extraction technician is responsible for producing cannabis distillate from cannabis flowers and trim. The extraction technician will dry, extract, winterize, and distill cannabis extracts for sale in the legal Colorado cannabis market. The extraction technician will be responsible for taking good notes, tracking all cannabis while in production, pulling samples for analysis, and keeping all work areas and equipment clean and sanitized. The extraction technician is also responsible for routine maintenance of the equipment. The work is performed within a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility, thus cleanliness and attention to detail are a must. The extraction technician will be working with state-of-the-art equipment throughout the process and as such must be technically inclined and capable of understanding complex equipment and processes. This position will require both teamwork and independent work so you must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. We desire an enthusiastic and creative individual who can follow written and verbal instructions with a positive attitude.
The overnight hours for this position will be from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM five days per week (overnight shift). During an initial training period, the hours will be Part-Time from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Experience with supercritical CO2 extractors desired. Technical education desired. Must be willing to work an overnight shift. Must be 21 or over and possess a valid MED license in Colorado.

As our team at MedPharm is growing, we are looking for a digitally-inclined designer to take lead on our social media accounts. This role will have a heavy focus on social media but you will also play a key role in supporting our sales and marketing team. Experience in a similar role is strongly encouraged.
Part Time (15-20 hours a week)
with potential to grow to full-time within 3-6 months.
Schedule: Flexible
Rate: $15-20 per hour, DOE
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work closely with Creative Lead to create and manage content and support our accounts.
· Help to create consistency across digital platforms.
· Expand our digital presence, beyond our website and instagram.
· Planning, production, and publishing of content across multiple channels.
· Manage influencer and partnership strategies.
· Collaborate with Creative Lead to create content, but be proficient in written content creation. (Strong writing skills is a plus!)
· Help to keep websites up to date.
· Track engagement and provide analysis to the Marketing team.
EXPERIENCE
· Experience working with multiple brands and IG accounts.
· Well-versed in digital marketing - beyond instagram
· Ability to manage social media communities in an engaged manner.
· Experience working with IG planning programs.
· Self-starter / ability to work independently.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Most of this work can be done remotely. The candidate must be located in Colorado / Denver area. Occasional meetings at the HQ in Denver will be required.

A Local marijuana cultivation and production company is searching for a hard-working, reliable, and dedicated individual to join our team. This position is full time, Monday through Friday from 7am-4pm. Strong applicants for our joint roller/packaging technician position will have cannabis industry experience, however it is not required. Most importantly we are looking for individuals that are team players, have a positive attitude, and the desire to learn.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have a general understanding of cannabis.
- Consider themselves a hard-worker and a team player.
- Are highly reliable with a proven track-record of strong attendance.
- Have an active Colorado Marijuana Industry Employee Badge.
You will be responsible for:
- Using joint rolling devices to build up joint inventories.
- Packaging and labeling products with all state-required compliance labels
- Taking pride in the cultivation facility by ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Learning and understanding the laws and regulations of Colorado cannabis compliance.
- Removes excess plant material, water, and trash from all rooms.
- Physical duties may be required including but not limited to; lifting and moving boxes, inventory, and/or equipment. Makes sure all operations of the grow facilities run smoothly.
- Maintaining accurate daily activity records and operation logs.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, contractors, and employees
