Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Product Knowledge
- Understands and is able to explain all cannabis product categories and consumption methods
- Understands and is able to explain dosing instructions and safe consumption per product
- Understands and is able to explain infusion, extraction, and other methods regarding the production of products
Customer Service / Salesmanship / Compliance
- Completes state certified compliance course (SellSmart) upon hire
- Completes sales in compliance with state and local regulation
- Accurately weighs and dispenses product
- Provides exceptional customer service in line with LOVA mission and expectations
- Provides product knowledge including general information, how the product is to be consumed, dosing instructions, and onset information
- Provides regulatory education including but not limited to; purchase limits, legal consumption spaces, properly transporting cannabis, and proper cannabis storage
- Meets individual and team sales goals as established by management
Cash Handling
- Practices safe cash handling in accordance with company policy (See Cash Handling SOP)
- Performs daily deposits and drawer counts
- Completes daily drawer closing and opening duties (See Drawer Open/Close SOP)
- Maintains an accurate cash count at all times and reports cash overage/shortage to management immediately
Attitude / Conduct / Communication
- Responds to all company communications and inquiries in a timely manner
- Responsible for monitoring Slack messages and responding appropriately
- Practices utmost professionalism at all times with customers and coworkers

Overview:
Under general supervision from the CGO, the Director of Purchasing and Procurement is responsible for the planning of the weekly ordering, restocking, and logistics of Pioneers retail division. The Director of Purchasing and Procurement will be responsible for reviewing sell-through inventory and lead time data to ensure that all products carried in Lova stores, and DC are restocked appropriately. While maintaining adequate inventory balances across the entire organization. The Director of Purchasing and Procurement will be responsible for managing the distribution center team, coordinating receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and fulfillment. The Director of Purchasing and Procurement will monitor sell through data to identify top performing and worst performing SKU’s to make recommendations to the buying team in regards to which SKU’s to consider or eliminate. The Director of Purchasing and Procurement will work directly with store leadership to ensure accurate inventory balances across all locations. They will also work directly with supplier teams to ensure perfect execution of just in time delivery across all items and SKU’s. The Director of Purchasing and Procurement will use their extensive organizational and warehousing experience to streamline distribution and fulfillment operations so as to reduce error rates and increase efficiency.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Promotes and maintains a positive work environment that adheres to LOVA Mission & Core Values
- Overseeing Metrics on daily, weekly and monthly as needed
- Evaluating category performance by SKU, sub-category, and category to provide buying recommendations to buying / category managers
- Oversees and manages LOVA inventory needs ensuring stores remain properly stocked while adhering to thresholds
- Interact and engage with store managers, buyer, and finance team on inventory needs based on store performance
- Oversee the development and management of LOVA’s distribution center to facilitate orders and eliminate out of stocks across LOVA stores
- Motivates, organizes, and encourages teamwork to help meet productivity targets
- Communicates with various company personnel, vendors, and other customers
- Responds to issues and concerns in a timely manner by email, telephone, etc.
- Directs dispatching to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of shipments
- Coordinates inter-company transfer of product for store deliveries
- Coordinates any secondary deliveries due to any shortages or mistakes on original scheduled delivery
- Directs receiving to ensure proper count and physical inspection of merchandise by the quality control Department; manages proper distribution of product
- Ensures stock is properly rotated according to LOVA standards
- Insuring the proper maintenance of all distribution center equipment
- Makes sure all products are stored in the correct condition and temperature
- Responsible for maintaining the distribution center is in full compliance with all Federal, State and local regulatory safety, labor, worker’s comp and health requirements ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment
- Responsible for controlling labor cost and for minimizing shrink. Maintains operating budget related to freight, repairs & maintenance, and other costs
- Directs employee relations issues for the distribution center, hiring, training, motivating, conduct performance reviews, conflict resolution and discipline
- Fulfilling objectives and directions from the corporate office
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities & Physical Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive distribution management experience
- Experience in computerized distribution and transportation management systems
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven experience in developing and managing annual operating plans (P&L)
- Be able to implement change management by driving, influencing and inspiring employees at all levels
- Must have good leadership skills, verbal, and written communication skills
- Possess effective time management, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must be resourceful and effective at building partnerships in and outside of the company, be able to use all resources to effectively solve problems
- Must have strong computer skills in MS Office Applications
- Be able to multitask, set priorities, pay attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to provide and receive constructive feedback

Overview:

- Directs receiving to ensure proper count and physical inspection of merchandise by the quality control Department; manages proper distribution of product
- Ensures stock is properly rotated according to LOVA standards
- Insuring the proper maintenance of all distribution center equipment
- Makes sure all products are stored in the correct condition and temperature
- Responsible for maintaining the distribution center is in full compliance with all Federal, State and local regulatory safety, labor, worker’s comp and health requirements ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment
- Responsible for controlling labor cost and for minimizing shrink. Maintains operating budget related to freight, repairs & maintenance, and other costs
- Directs employee relations issues for the distribution center, hiring, training, motivating, conduct performance reviews, conflict resolution and discipline
- Fulfilling objectives and directions from the corporate office
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities & Physical Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive distribution management experience
- Experience in computerized distribution and transportation management systems
- Proven experience in developing and managing annual operating plans (P&L)
- Be able to implement change management by driving, influencing and inspiring employees at all levels
- Must have good leadership skills, verbal, and written communication skills
- Possess effective time management, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must be resourceful and effective at building partnerships in and outside of the company, be able to use all resources to effectively solve problems
- Must have strong computer skills in MS Office Applications
- Be able to multitask, set priorities, pay attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality

Customer Service / Salesmanship / Compliance
- Completes state certified compliance course (SellSmart) upon hire
- Completes sales in compliance with state and local regulation
- Accurately weighs and dispenses product
- Provides exceptional customer service in line with LOVA mission and expectations
- Provides product knowledge including general information, how the product is to be consumed, dosing instructions, and onset information
- Provides regulatory education including but not limited to; purchase limits, legal consumption spaces, properly transporting cannabis, and proper cannabis storage
- Meets individual and team sales goals as established by management
Cash Handling
- Practices safe cash handling in accordance with company policy (See Cash Handling SOP)
- Performs daily deposits and drawer counts
- Completes daily drawer closing and opening duties (See Drawer Open/Close SOP)
- Maintains an accurate cash count at all times and reports cash overage/shortage to management immediately
Attitude / Conduct / Communication
- Responds to all company communications and inquiries in a timely manner
- Responsible for monitoring Slack messages and responding appropriately
- Practices utmost professionalism at all times with customers and coworkers
- Practices a positive attitude at all times
- Ensures conduct is in line with LOVA mission and culture at all times
Inventory and Other General Duties
- Ensures POS stations are stocked with appropriate supplies and packaging
- Stocks sales floor with inventory as needed
- Completes Open/Close checklists daily (See Open/Close Checklist SOP)
- Alerts management to low stock or out of stocks
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of sales floor
- Assists with daily cleaning duties
- Complies with company policy as described in Employee Handbook
- Other duties as assigned

Deberes y responsabilidades esenciales entre otras:
Conocimiento del producto
- Conocer y explicar todas las categorías de productos de cannabis y métodos de consumo.
- Conocer y explicar las instrucciones de dosificación y el consumo seguro por producto.
- Conocer y explicar la infusión, extracción y otros métodos relacionados con la producción de products.
Servicio al cliente / Ventas / Cumplimiento
- Completar el curso de cumplimiento certificado por el estado (SellSmart) al ser contratado.
- Completar las ventas de acuerdo con las regulaciones estatales y locales .
- Pesar y dispensar el producto con precisión
- Brindar un servicio al cliente excepcional alineado con la misión y las expectativas de LOVA
- Proporcionar conocimiento del producto, información general, cómo se consumirá el producto, instrucciones de dosificación e información de inicio.
- Proporcionar educación normativa que incluye; límites de compra, espacios de consumo legales, transporte adecuado de cannabis y almacenamiento adecuado de cannabis , entre otros.
- Cumplir con los objetivos de ventas individuales y de equipo establecidos por la gerencia.
Manejo del Efectivo
- Practicar el manejo seguro de efectivo de acuerdo con la política de la empresa (Ver SOP Manejo de efectivo).
- Realizar depósitos diarios y recuentos de caja.
- Completa las tareas diarias de apertura y cierre de caja (consulte SOP de apertura / cierre de caja) .
- Mantiener un recuento de efectivo preciso en todo momento e informa inmediatamente a la gerencia sobre el exceso / escasez de efectivo .
Actitud / Conducta / Comunicación
- Responder a todas las comunicaciones y consultas de la empresa de manera oportuna.
- Responsable de monitorear los mensajes de Slack y responder de manera adecuada.
- Practicar el profesionalismo en todo momento con los clientes y compañeros de trabajo .
- Practicar una actitud positiva en todo momento.
Inventario y otras tareas generales
- Garantizar que las estaciones de punto de venta estén abastecidas con los suministros y el embalaje adecuados.
- Almacenar el piso de ventas con inventario según sea necesario.
- Completar las listas de verificación de apertura / cierre todos los días (consulte el POE de la lista de verificación de apertura / cierre)
- Gestión de alertas de existencias bajas o agotadas.
- Mantiener la limpieza y organización del piso de ventas.
- Ayudar con las tareas de limpieza diarias.
- Cumplir con la política de la empresa como se describe en el Manual del empleado.
