Lifted New York is hiring a Cultivation Management professional to oversee facility operations at our licensed greenhouse in Ithaca, NY! Qualified candidates will demonstrate a history of effective cultivation, and administrative, and technical mastery. The position will require an ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior management to effectively administer programs and directives as the senior on-site manager. Proficiency in excel, excellent communication skills, and effective leadership are key to the position, in addition to a deep background in cannabis cultivation techniques related to Integrated Pest Management, Nutrient Management, Crop Planning, Disease Diagnosis Prevention and Treatment, and Facility Infrastructure Design and Maintenance.
Job Duties are as follows:
- The initial job title of the Employee will be Director of Production. The initial job duties the Employee will be expected to perform will be the following:
- Implement systems and best practices, as directed by the Chief Cultivation Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Ownership across all facilities under Employee’s management.
- Develop and track KPIs for all departments under Employee's supervision.
- Develop long and short-term cultivation plans and assign duties to direct reports.
- Develop and delegate weekly task plans.
- Ensure all METRC or equivalent seed 2 sale tracking entries are made timely and compliantly.
- Verify plant counts and movements between rooms/ grow areas
- Hold weekly team meetings
- Hold Monday all-hands meetings
- Conduct one on ones with direct reports.
- Coordinate product photos for sales and Social Media.
- Ensure production schedules are tailored to maintain an inventory mix that represents all product categories at all times.
- Work with the sales director to allocate products based on sales trends and customer requests prior to each harvest to ensure packaging and supplies are ordered in time to create all desired SKUs.
- Prepare reports weekly and monthly to provide visibility to the Sales team and senior management on upcoming products.
- Cause to be organized and documented the daily process of transplanting, cloning, defoliation harvesting, and trimming of plants by keeping the weekly task sheet up to date reflecting items that were completed on schedule as well as items that are behind schedule.
- Oversee and direct maintenance operations
- Diagnose and resolve plant health issues such as disease and pest pressure.
- Ensure legal compliance of all operations facility-wide. Recordkeeping and Data Collection Expectations and Requirements.

- Annual Cultivation Report (Must be maintained and submitted to the office after one year of licensure and then upon license transition) Up-to-date site plan
- All physical inventory of cannabis, at any stage, and all associated labels, must be reflected accurately in an electronic inventory management system.

- Soil/ Substrate Assessment

- Supervise and coach employees. Identify and prepare potential future managers
- Retain and coach the best and brightest employees.
- Develop succession plans and be prepared for staff shortages that will occur from time to time.
- Inspect the quality of each harvest and ensure best practices are implemented by the harvest team.
- Execute grow protocols and nutrient regiments for growing applications.
- Catalog and analyze each strain from clone to flower to harvesting.
- Execute preventative maintenance and elimination of all types of mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, fungus gnats, and other pests and diseases.
- Use sensors and instrumentation to maintain optimal growing conditions for the plants.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address unexpected challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory standards for cultivation.
- Maintain accurate daily activity records and operation logs as directed using designated software.
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Assist in troubleshooting problems at all cultivation facilities and implement solutions.
- Consolidate and summarize learned insights and results across sites to facilitate sharing of knowledge across the organization using designated software.
- Continually maintain knowledge of the latest evidence-based cultivation practices and integrate them into operations in consultation with the Director of Cultivation.
- Performs other assignments (or duties) as required.
- Keep the facility secure.
