Start up looking for the right TEAM. MannaWell believes that the equation for success in the cannabis industry is people plus the highest standards for medicine, technology, and business acumen.
We have set the stage by building small R&D Facility founded by people who understand the importance of cannabis in medicine and innovation of the industry. Now, we need a team to execute the plan for which we are building a solid foundation. This will be our first year in operation and we are looking for experienced, team oriented individuals, who can help refine and perfect processes and propel brand/products to the community and industry.
About the Job:
The Business Administrator will support the executive and leadership teams in general administrative duties, compile, and input data prepare reports, coordinate departmental purchasing, pre-employment screening as well as various other business administrative duties as requested.
This role will also be responsible for various compliance administrative duties including, METRC, tracking, plant and product inventory audits and compliance audits.
Knowledge of the METRC experience in system required.
Knowledge of the Cannabis Control Commission and adult use cannabis is highly desired.
The Business Administrator will report to the Facility Manager but will be required to perform tasks to support the efforts all departments as needed.
This role, at times, will assist in various production responsibilities including, post-harvest, packaging, kitchen, or extraction tasks and supporting roles when needed.
- Pre-employment applicant resume and phone screening.
- Computer proficiency for data entry, document creation and organization.
- Maintain employee records, handle confidential and sensitive information pertaining to the employees and the company in compliance with company policy, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure seed-to-sale software is always up to date and compliant.
- Troubleshoot any software or out of compliance issues
- Execute live plant and product inventory audits on a regular frequency as set by regulatory requirements and company needs.
- Assist with transportation compliance, records, and logistics of product inventory
- Prepare reports and documents for the various department leadership and for the executive teams.
- Maintain and organized file system both digitally and physically.
- Coordinate departmental purchasing orders.
- Schedule, organize and/or arrange meetings, appointments, and interviews.
- Answer phone calls, emails and inquiries pertaining to the business professionally and promptly
- Maintain up to date logs for various activities throughout the building.
- Coordinate departmental compliance needs.
- Maintain clean and organized work environment, ability to follow through on all Health and Safety requirements of the company and state guidelines.
About You:
- Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain medical marijuana work credentials.
- Able to pass a state background check with no disqualifying infractions.

Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- College Graduate or soon to be graduate
- Cannabis experience preferred
- At least two years of relevant work experience in a Business Administrator, Office Administrator, Office Manager, or equivalent role in cannabis operation.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong computer skills for data entry is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Metric Required.
- Outgoing Personality able to contribute and refine processes in start-up.
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to make valuable editorial contributions to written documents such as e-mails, SOP’s Forms, policy, and other document creation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Knowledge of medical and adult use regulations (935 CMR) strongly preferred
- Experience with seed-to-safe software (Metrc, Leaf Logix, Biotrack, MJFreeway) preferred.
- Proficient in basic math
- Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment, strong ethics and demonstrate initiative.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a positive, collaborative, team environment
- Ability to initiate and follow through on work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to maintain confidentiality

- Ability to operate and troubleshoot standard office equipment, printers, scanners, paper shredders etc.
- Ability to maintain strict adherence to the Cannabis Control Commission regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
