Confectioner, Baker, Pastry Chef
Are you a lifelong hobbyist, or enthusiast looking for an opportunity to share your passion and experience creating tasty treats? Would you like to help people by creating herbal-infused edibles?
Our wellness store on Milwaukee’s eastside is looking for an experienced Confectioner, Baker or Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of chocolates and candies for our retail and wholesale operation. Your ability to mold chocolate and other candies into shareable treats should be matched by your creativity developing recipes for the CBD wellness markets. You must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with accurate and consistent servings and dosage. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele.
About our Company and Store
Our team is skilled and diverse and includes food industrialists, cannabis and hemp scientists, community activists and highly trained customer service personnel. Our daily desire is to share our knowledge with all those that visit our wellness store. We are laid back but hyper-focused on emerging trends in the alternative plant-based wellness business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as chocolate bars, clusters, cookies, gummies and other candies.
- Decorate using different toppings and packaging to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and enticing
- Monitor stocks for ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience or life long hobby as Confectioner, Baker or Pastry Chef
- Great attention to detail and creativity
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
- Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
Bonus
· Experience working in food manufacturing
· Experience with organic and natural ingredient handling
· Formal training or applicable certificates
· A portfolio of existing recipes,
