BRAND MANAGER
Jetty Extracts
Founded in 2013, Jetty Extracts is one of the true originals in the California cannabis market. Having begun as a small extracts manufacturer in San Diego, CA with a focus on craft and product innovation, Jetty has grown into one of California’s largest cannabis brands. Operating out of our manufacturing facility in Oakland, CA, the company focuses on producing state-of-the-art manufactured cannabis products, utilizing the latest technology to create additive-and pesticide-free extracts and concentrates sourced from trusted California farmers.
Position
Reports To: Chief Revenue Officer
Location: Oakland, CA
The Brand Manager will be the primary owner of a licensed brand in Jetty’s brand portfolio, and will help to coordinate additional brands and product launches as the company continues to expand its product offerings. In close coordination with Jetty’s Chief Revenue Officer and the brand’s 3rd-party founder/owner, the Brand Manager will develop and drive tactical plans for the production, marketing, and sales of all products under the brand. The Brand Manager will be adept at, and ultimately responsible for, coordinating multiple internal Jetty departments and external partners to ensure the brand achieves its ambitious sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as brand champion with all internal and external stakeholders, including the founder/owner of the brand, each Jetty operational department, Jetty’s 3rd-party distributor, retail customers, and consumers.
- Drive execution of the sales and marketing plans with the brand's 3rdparty distributor and Jetty sales and marketing teams through setting timelines, holding regular meetings, and implementing KPI’s across individual accounts, products, and team members
- Assist in the development of product and pricing strategy for brand products by analyzing consumer trends and market opportunities and translating empirical observations from the California market
- Coordinate with Jetty Product and Production teams to ensure timely product launches, ongoing availability of brand SKUs, and alignment between California market demands and Jetty supply chain and production capacity
- Develop new business for the brand by prospecting retail accounts and developing sales and marketing plans to grow the number and depth of dispensary and delivery customers
- Directly manage relationships with major accounts and facilitate retail marketing programs supporting the brand
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports to Jetty executive team on brand goals and performance
- Manage and facilitate new product line and brand launches as needed
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a brand management, product management, sales or marketing roles; consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience preferred; cannabis industry experience a plus.
- Skilled and active leader, relationship-builder, and team player; capable of working professionally across all company departments, with external partners, and with all levels of staff in order to solve problems and drive organizational success.
