Full Job Description
As a general manager, this position oversees all daily functions of the Nursery as a whole. The General Manager is to ensure that all departments are working efficiently and cohesively to create smooth operational processes. It is important that this person has an innovative mind to look for ways to improve the daily functions and streamline all departments (production, sales, and maintenance). Cannabis cultivation experience is not required, though is appreciated. The General Manager of this facility will report to the owners of the company. This position requires heavy understanding and use of Excel/Google Sheets. Applicants will need a strong skillset in the use of formulas and syntax in either of these programs, as well as the ability to oversee proper use of the track and trace program, METRC.

Duties and Responsibilities include, though are not limited to:
-Manage ALL staff on site effectively and efficiently.
-Oversee greenhouse controls.
-Responsible for decision making, along with owners, on all purchases.
-Oversee/evaluate production rates.
-Train/evaluate employees and manage staffing numbers.
-Communicate SOP changes with owners for how they affect production, achieve desired goals, and impact overhead costs.
-Work with inventory manager to fill orders in a timely manner with healthy clones.
-Work with the sales department for order adjustments/changes.
-Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking data, streamlining processes, and increasing communication between departments.
-Staff scheduling to meet production/IPM needs.
-Maintain compliance and philosophy of the company at all times.
-Calculate cut estimates for the sales team.
-Oversee all software and spreadsheets to accurately track and address technical issues.
-Work with HR to vet/hire new employees.
-Research and identify growth opportunities.
-Analyze past and current sales trends in order to accurately predict future sales and production needs quarterly and annually.
-Track production and operations costs.
-Create monthly reports/projections for owners.
Physical Requirements:
-Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
-Able to fill in for production line positions when needed: sitting for long periods of time, standing for long periods of time, moving large light weight boxes.
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred. Other undergraduate level degrees will also be considered.
-5 years managing a production facility of a minimum of 10 employees.
-Knowledge of business management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
-Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing production with effective costs.
-Knowledge of the operation of recruiting, selecting, training, compensation, and benefits.
-Knowledge of methods for promoting and selling clones and teens. Including marketing strategy, tactics, and sales techniques.
-Effective use of and practice in problem solving and communication.
