Hemp Hop is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to join our production team. Our Laboratory Technicians have the responsibility of preparing bulk cannabis/hemp concentrates and edibles for retail sale. Our lab techs perform a variety of tasks as they ready the product for market. Packaging, or other cannabis experience is a plus, but not necessary. Comfortability filling vape carts is a plus. Must be 18+
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation and cleaning of boxes, jars, lids, and equipment for packaging.
- Gramming & packaging jars of solid-form concentrate
- Filling & Packaging Vape Carts
- Packaging and Filling Edibles
- Print & apply labels to packaging
- Cleaning of equipment and packaging facility.
- Meeting and exceeding production quotas.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of product, materials, and equipment.
- Record keeping of all details pertinent to packaging and inventory.
- Storing of supplies and equipment, disposal of waste, and keeping the work area in pristine condition.
- Following GMP & Hemp Hop SOP’s
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Working collectively and respectfully with other team members.
- Enforcing a culture of safety and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a laboratory, production, or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
- Experience and background in the cannabis industry is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media.
- Strong number skills and basic math.
- Experience with inventory is preferred, but not required.
- Detail oriented with an eye on process improvement and optimization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high-stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires.
- Must be comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods of time.
- For extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
- Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE

The Cannabis Processor will work exclusively at Hemp Hop headquarters in Charlotte, NC ensuring that the cannabis is processed according to Hemp Hop's high quality standards and specifications.
Job Summary :
The Processor conducts day-to-day operations within the Production Department, including detailed trimming and weighing of cannabis to confirm quality of product.
Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Processing cannabis from harvest to sell.
- Bucking, Trimming and Packaging of flower.
- Prep and strategically trim flowers using company quality standards.
- Receive, process and package wholesale orders.
- Assist in pre-roll manufacturing, packaging and labeling.
- Print and apply labels
- Package edibles, concentrate, and other products
- Clean and maintain equipment and processing facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; comply with legal regulations; monitor environment.
- Oversee production by creating and reviewing production schedule; study and clarify specifications; calculate requirements; assemble and accurately weigh materials and supplies.
- Coordination of the day-to-day activities of this team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules * Establish clear goals and metrics for the teams
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems or measuring various aspects of operational effectiveness
- Manage expenditures within budgets * Coach, mentor and direct staff to include issuing disciplinary action and addressing issues.
- Contribute to operational and strategic plans
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for team to meet established targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity
- Monitoring of volume and quality of output and adjustment of tasks when necessary to ensure production throughput targets are met
- Monitor employee performance daily to ensure that overall product quality and company safety standards are consistently executed
- QA/QC duties that require analytical testing for quality and consistency; data review * Operate highly sophisticated equipment
- Maintains inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Create SOPs, training records, and related documentation
- Maintain material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.
- Report to the Director of Operations on a weekly basis with updates regarding production and processing schedule.
- Complete any additional projects as assigned.

We are looking for a dynamic cultivation technician to join our cultivation facility. In this role, your duties will include overseeing cannabis production, creating cultivation plans, resolving plant issues, and working coherently with other cultivation facility personnel. The Cultivation Associate is primarily responsible for cleaning, upkeep and sanitation of the cultivation facility. This includes, breaking down and setting up rooms, as well as washing and sanitizing all equipment for pests, viruses and disease.
To ensure success as a cultivation technician, you should have excellent knowledge of the cannabis plant and the ability to identify and respond to any issues that arise during production or cultivation. Ultimately, a top-notch cultivation technician should be a dedicated and green-fingered individual with a passion for cultivation.
CULTIVATION TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing the daily operations of an indoor cannabis cultivation facility, including the planting, trimming, and harvesting of crops.
- Developing a cultivation plan and assigning duties to farm personnel.
- Organizing the transplanting and cloning processes of plants.
- Checking existing crops for diseases and resolving any plant health issues, such as mildew or mold.
- Ensuring that the cannabis plant's growth requirements, such as lighting, soil PH, and nutrients, are consistently met.
- Managing the inventory of the facilities cannabis production, such as equipment and HVAC systems.
- Identifying and resolving potential threats to crop yields, such as pests.
- Breeding new cannabis plant cultivars according to the farm's specifications.
- Ensuring the farm complies with state cannabis policies and cultivation procedures.
- Duties include placing, skirting, trellising, weaving, super cropping, and de-fanning plants.
- Experience with Crop-Steering. Ensure feeds are planned, optimized, and adjusted depending on strain-specific requirements and needs using a Dosatron panel for automation.
- Neatly places plants into pots, transplanting, and germination of seeds
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Handle, mix, and apply pesticides in a manner that is compliant with rules and regulations.
- At times, the Cultivation Associate is responsible for quality and efficient cannabis plant trimming in preparation for sale.
CULTIVATION TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:
- Be 21 or older, a US Citizen, and willing to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio for this opportunity.
- A minimum of four years' experience working as a grower or cultivation technician in Cannabis.
- At least two years of experience in a management position.
- Knowledge of USDA Hemp program and practices
- Excellent knowledge of indoor and LED cultivation methods,
- Knowledge of growing facility HVAC, Equipment, Layout/Design and familiarity with lighting technologies and light optimization.
- Experience working at, and managing, a large legal cannabis cultivation facility or multiple grow facilities larger than 5,000 square feet.
- Experience managing water usage (via Reverse Osmosis water filtration) and knowledge of basic plumbing and water storage.
- Experience managing plant health and facility cleanliness to ensure a high yield.
- Competency with technology and must be able to use computers/smartphones, and applications like Google Docs, Email, Excel, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 Pounds consistently, and must be able to bend, squat, reach, kneel, walk, do other physical tasks possibly needed.
- Ability to pass a background check with no felonies.
- While not specifically required, it would be a bonus to have any sort of college degree.
