JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to oversee the day to day operations of the business and lead the Company’s product and service offerings strategy. This includes responsibility for informing new product development and product management, retail, wholesale, and outreach operations, information technology, data analytics, and strategic marketing and branding. The COO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the CEO, and will maintain control of diverse business operations.
We are looking for a leader with excellent interpersonal skills, business acumen, strong emotional intelligence, and an exemplary work ethic. The COO is responsible for overseeing the Company’s operations to develop and deliver high quality products and ensure the business operations are lean, efficient, effective, and systematic. In the ever-changing climate of the Cannabis industry, the COO will establish standards and procedures while remaining agile to changing regulations and product demands.
In addition, this role will require a strong, collaborative leader with the ability to lead a high-functioning team, driving results and ensuring both quality and volume demands are satisfied. The COO will provide leadership, management, and vision to ensure that the Company has the proper operational controls and administrative and reporting procedures in place to execute and effectively grow the organization. This role provides operational advice and recommendations to the CEO to implement operational efficiencies and maximize profitability while meeting the strategic objectives of the company.
- Executes the Company’s manufacturing, production, and retail value propositions.
- Serves as the voice of the customer. Providing critical interface between the field sales organization and product development / engineering.
- Champions innovation throughout the organization based on market feedback / intelligence.
- Attracts, retains, and develops best-in-class subject matter expertise within the organization.
- Drives the cultural change necessary to differentiate the business from its competition.
- Establishes an efficient and effective approach to new product introduction, incorporating the best combination of cost effectiveness and innovation.
- Accountable for the operational budgets and measurement and effectiveness of all operational processes - internal and external.
- Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Company.
- Leads the development, communication, and implementation of effective operational strategies and processes by setting comprehensive and clear performance goals that support the company’s strategic plans.
- Oversees supply chain and demand planning. Reviews inventory for both manufactured and 3rd party products and sets expectations for planning and utilization.
- Reviews systems and processes for automation. Makes recommendations on automated process improvements and capital expenditures to increase sales, efficiency, and production.
- Executes processes and key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and drive cost efficiencies.
- Designs and implements business strategies, plans and procedures that promote collaboration and a positive culture and vision for the organization.
- Provides strategic input to evaluate potential alliances, acquisitions and mergers, and new lines of service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience overseeing 10+ retail locations
- MBA preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field required plus 10+ years of management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess strong business management, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to operate on an Executive level as part of a high functioning, results-oriented team.
- Requires extensive proven experience in establishing both long and short- term goals, developing comprehensive business plans to achieve those goals and executing on the business plans. Requires a proven record of exceeding expectations, regarding both financial and non-financial metrics. Requires the ability to effectively work with other team members to create a healthy organization and a culture based on respect, trust, cooperation, and commitment.
- Ability to be strategic and roll up your sleeves to accomplish what needs to be done.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task, manage projects, and work within deadlines.
- Able to form deep, trusted relationships with Company’s executive leadership and employees.
- Solid organization, coordination, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Cannabis experience helpful, but not required.

JOB SUMMARY The company seeks to add a Retail Inventory and Order Specialist to our growing retail team. Our Retail Inventory and Order Specialist will be responsible for inventory recording, compliance, and accuracy in all phases of the retail sales of cannabis products in the dispensary, as well as placing orders for new inventory and creating a diverse stock of product. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of cannabis industry software systems.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Perform cycle counts daily, weekly and monthly as needed
- Ensure inventory records are always accurate
- Follow state guidelines to maintain an accurate physical inventory and ensure the integrity of the dispensary records
- Assist in managing METRIC inventory system
- Assist in deliveries that will be taken into the dispensary and ensuring they are accurate
- Adding all new products received into METRIC
- Participate in assessing the internal controls over inventory to identify deficiencies and develop corrective action plans for continuous improvement
- Work with our the Compliance Manager to ensure all inventory issues are handled on a timely basis
- Adhere to all mandatory state regulations
- Place retail orders and keep product fully stocked
- Stay up to date on new cannabis products and ensure product diversification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong abilities within Excel
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to function independently
- Experience with METRIC a plus
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years old to work at the store
- Must be willing to travel to all company locations as needed
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
