Next Big Crop, a General Cannabis Company, is searching for an Inventory and Logistics Manager to manage and track the efficient and compliant flow of materials and products within Next Big Crop’s cultivation, manufacturing and retail operations. The Inventory and Logistics Manager will establish and implement compliant processes that manage the movement of materials within each facility, including the distribution of finished products. The Inventory and Logistics Manager will track and report on inventory and supply chain activities to ensure production runs smoothly and on time. The Inventory and Logistics Manager will work directly with facility managers, the compliance department, sales teams and senior management.
Duties and responsibilities
The Inventory and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all inventory operations within Next Big Crop’s operations. Duties include:
- Ensures operational compliance with multiple state and local regulatory requirements
- Drafts, modifies and implements SOPs to support and enhance internal controls to ensure strict compliance needs are met
- Produces accurate inventory records for all materials and products
- Develops and disseminates inventory and compliance reports for senior management
- Develops and manages inventory and distribution Standard Operating Procedures
- Creates and manages inventory and workflow dashboards
- Manages product sampling and lab testing process
- Oversees accurate batching and labeling of all products
- Manages inventory tracking system(s) and train staff on compliant use
- Performs routine plant and product inventory audits
- Establishes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and quality
- Proactively audits processes, practices and documents to evaluate compliance issues/concerns and identify training opportunities
- Understands all aspects of facility distribution and production patterns to effectively plan for compliance and auditing requirements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Valid Colorado MED Occupational License
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the medical/adult use cannabis industry with a strong knowledge of industry compliance and regulations
- Extensive experience implementing and operating inventory management software
- A full understanding and a minimum of 1 year experience working with the METRC system
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Aptitude in communications, mathematics, dashboards and reporting
- Problem-solving abilities
- Experience in a GMP, ISO, or other regulated work environment
- Experience identifying and resolving compliance issues
- Certified compliance professional is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret rapidly developing/changing regulations and translate them into SOPs and policies for the organization
- Working proficiency of Microsoft Office suite
Working conditions and schedule
The Inventory and Logistics Manager will work remotely, and on location at project sites in Colorado, Oklahoma, Massachusetts and other states, as necessary. This position requires 1-2 weeks of travel per month.

Physical ability to travel long distances with stays for weeks or months at a time.
