SHOP MANAGER
As the Shop Manager, you will lead a team to provide a profitable shop. You lead by example; you provide, coach and teach a best-in-class service to your clients, both internal (your shop's employees) and external
(Heyday's clients). You ensure the workplace is ready for success – keeping it organized, informed, drama- free, and ready for the days and weeks ahead. You ensure everyone on your team is empowered with the tools, information, and confidence they need to deliver a stellar Heyday experience to every client who walks in your doors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team & Shop Management
o Manage and develop 25+ team members, creating a culture of ownership and results o Provide high-level service and hospitality to clients, both internally and externally o Manage all day-to-day tasks and operations from the front of house to back of house o Build and foster relationships with employees, clients & the community we do business in o Celebrate team wins and show gratitude daily
- People Planning & Staffing
o Identify and develop high-potential employees to create a bench of talent across all roles o Recruit, on-board, develop and train employees from Shop Attendants, Hosts to Client
Experience Leads to Asst Managers and Asst Managers to Managers o Partner with your Shop Educator and/or your Regional Educator to plan for Skin Therapist recruitment, training, onboarding and Friends & Family events o Provide in the moment developmental feedback and coaching to all employees to set and achieve/exceed goals
- Business Acumen & Operational Excellence
o Own your shop P&L to increase revenue, control your controllables and manage expenses o Drive revenue through maniacal client rebooking of 70%+, proactive scheduling optimization and shop utilization of 75%+

Flatiron Search Partners o Drive client loyalty & retention through rhythmic membership sales achieving a new client membership conversion rate of 50%+ o Oversee and execute timely and accurate Payroll submission managing scheduled vs. actual hours o Conduct timely and accurate Inventory ensuring all loss prevention controls are in place o Monitor & review Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports & dashboards and develop thoughtful business plans to achieve/exceed shop forecasts and goals o Partner with Marketing to develop new client acquisition and retention plans through local grassroots Marketing initiatives & business to business partnerships o Build and manage your employee schedule and time off reporting

Experience
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience owning a P&L and exceeding financial performance targets in the health & wellness, retail and/or hospitality industry
- Deep respect for and understanding of client experience drivers and hospitality
- Proven track record of managing & working with an hourly workforce; building & coaching a high- performance team
- A maniacal focus on growing a book of business through building relationships & rapport with team members, clientele & the local community alike
- An eye for detail and a passion for standard operating procedures the Heyday way
- Some beauty or spa experience is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of employment law, policies, processes and programs
- Proficient computer/Microsoft skills, including Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to travel overnight and/or between Shops
- Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
- Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule - including weekends, opening shifts, and
closing shifts
