SPECIFIC Responsibilities & ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Sell Farming First products. Grow retail presence within a defined territory
- Sign 15-20 new accounts every quarter with goals adjusted regularly, achieving projected sales goals and share monthly reports on progress
- Work closely with retail accounts to set up monthly promotions and sales
- Work closely with the Marketing and Operations team
- Communicate regularly with our Distribution partners and work cohesively with the in-house & 3rdparty retail field sales team, coordinating new account initiatives
- Drive sales growth and sell through. Identify revenue opportunities within the client base and achieve consistent growth
- Identify best-practices for product placement within a dispensary and understand methods for working with dispensary managers to ensure optimization
- Work with management to develop annual sales forecasts and quarterly goals
- Maintain broad knowledge of the California cannabis market
- Manage administrative duties. (CRM, Schedule trainings, in-store follow-ups)

JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the Accounting and Finance Department to accomplish department and company goals and objectives by providing accounting and financial support. This includes detailed analysis and presentation of financial data, preparation and recording of various journal entries, preparation of monthly account reconciliations, and other similar activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uses knowledge of GAAP and company policies to solve day to day issues and other projects as assigned.
- Assist Bookkeeper with the recording of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Process journal entries for entry into the general ledger system monthly by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs, and preparing audit trail support for journal entries.
- Peer review of journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations for assigned accounts, investigate reconciling items, and prepare any resulting journal entries
- Participate in year-end financial and internal control audits by preparing necessary schedules, compiling supporting details and explanations
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with distribution and production center managers to ensure that all inventory and sales transactions are accurately recorded, and variances satisfactorily explained.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned by management
- Reports directly to CFO
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of prior work experience
- Advanced ability to use and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications to analyze and troubleshoot information/data, develop, and use spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and trends. High level proficiency with Excel required.
- Flexibility to work on special projects and unexpected events while completing routine tasks on a timely basis
- Able to work and make decisions with a sense of urgency, adhering to tight schedules and simultaneously managing several projects.
- Strong ability to be hands-on, work independently, and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision
- Proven ability to be result focused, metric driven, and translate priorities and actions into measurable results
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to effectively identify problems by framing issues, leveraging data, and developing and implementing solutions

The Regional Sales Manager will be at the forefront of Farming First’s entry into the market by executing sales and marketing strategies to meet and exceed monthly growth goals. Responsibilities include developing relationships with key decision-makers at dispensaries, consistent budtender education, and management of 3rdparty sales agency reps to meet company goals and maximize revenues.
The Sales and Distribution Manager will play an essential role, contributing individually but also collaborating with future hires. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for building awareness and sell-through across the company's portfolio of brands. We are looking for a record of successfully growing brand share and developing effective ‘account-management-strategies’ within the California cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will enjoy building long term relationships established on consistency and has exceptional communication and follow through. This position will collaborate closely with the Marketing and Finished Goods departments. Overall, this role at Farming First is comprehensive; requiring the ability to personally manage sales accounts and understanding the unique dynamics of dispensaries, budtenders, and the industry as a whole.

SPECIFIC Responsibilities & ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Sell Farming First products. Grow retail presence within a defined territory
- Sign 15-20 new accounts every quarter with goals adjusted regularly, achieving projected sales goals and share monthly reports on progress
- Work closely with retail accounts to set up monthly promotions and sales
- Work closely with the Marketing and Operations team
- Communicate regularly with our Distribution partners and work cohesively with the in-house & 3rdparty retail field sales team, coordinating new account initiatives
- Drive sales growth and sell through. Identify revenue opportunities within the client base and achieve consistent growth
- Identify best-practices for product placement within a dispensary and understand methods for working with dispensary managers to ensure optimization
- Work with management to develop annual sales forecasts and quarterly goals
- Maintain broad knowledge of the California cannabis market
- Manage administrative duties. (CRM, Schedule trainings, in-store follow-ups)
Learn. Develop robust knowledge of Farming First’s brand platform, product lines, collaborations, and retail partners in order to implement in-store marketing plans, strategies, and promotional programs at a store-by-store level
Collaborate with our team and distribution partners, especially with the Sales Officer on development and execution of company sales goals and strategies
Relationships. Establish, maintain and deepen relationships for all retail accounts. Understand the composition of dispensary owner and buyer relationships within the assigned territory
Goals. Establish and achieve company revenue goals. Develop strong relationships within the assigned region through consistent contact and a consultative approach, maintaining a steady 30/60/90-day sales pipeline
Track. Monitor and report on industry trends, the competitive landscape and potential market opportunities. Provide detailed reports to senior management containing sales goals, forecasts, and anticipated inventory needs
Report. Track, analyze and share key sales metrics and performance indicators
Meet. Participate in sales meetings and other cross-functional team meetings. Maintain consistent feedback and communication with our Sales Officer to strategically improve our relationships, in-store presence, merchandising and shelf space
Share. Keep an open dialogue of weekly goals and needs in relation to the overarching goals of the company. Keep marketing and operations teams informed on sales goals
Travel. This job requires visiting shops throughout Northern/Southern California as well as attendance and/or participate at conventions, conferences, and tradeshows, and provide post-event reports, lead generation performance, and analysis
The PREFERRED CANDIDATE SHOULD BE ABLE TO:
- Leverage 3+ years of cannabis sales with strong retailer relationships
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organization skills
- Educate buyers and retailers on the nuance of Farming First’s brands & products
- Display a deep understanding of industry-specific trends and landscapes
- Prove a track record of consistently working well within a team to meet and exceed individual and collective sales goals
- Prove the ability to offer clear, solution-based value propositions
- Managing the full life cycle of sales from prospecting to closing business

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be 21+ years old
- Minimum of 3 years of experience on a cannabis sales team
- Organizational skills and ability to optimize time & resources
- Prior account relationships in Central and Southern California
- Willing to travel approximately 70% of the time within the region
- Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Word, Outlook, & Excel
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and excellent driving record
- Must be able to sit or stand for hours at a time
- Must be able to lift/carry 30 pounds

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with occasional events on weekends
- Work Location: Office in Ventura, CA but on the road for the majority of the week
Salary: $60,000-$70,000/year + quarterly commission; salary commensurate with experience. Commission and compensation reviewed semi-annually
