As a Remote Sales Representative (RSR), you'll be working directly with these incredible brands to help them achieve their goals through Emerald Market’s various advertising programs. This is a work-from-home opportunity and available to any qualified US-sales person. If you are an ambitious, driven individual who can develop new business as well as service existing clients’ requirements, then we want to hear from you. You'll work with marketing departments via phone and email to determine their needs and aspirations and customize every sale to help make those happen. We succeed when we help all our stakeholders grow their businesses.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for selling advertising space across our various channel partners’ platforms to brands hoping to target the Cannabis/CBD consumer and community. Success in this role is measured by hitting and exceeding monthly sales goals, consistently staying ahead of daily metrics, and handling rejection in stride. You’ll experience all of this in a supportive virtual team environment with the added flexibility of a remote workspace.
Responsibilities
- Educate, strategize, and successfully sell Emerald Market advertising packages.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Responding to quote requests in adherence to company procedures.
- Identify prospects and develop new business, from either EM clients, generated leads, referrals, or own knowledge base.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing company clients by providing outstanding service, support.
- Own and manage a pipeline of clients all organized in our CRM (Hubspot)
- Ensure sufficient and relevant information for each order is passed to the Account Manager to agreed standards.
- Working with a wider team to resolve problem orders.
- Become an expert in Emerald Market’s advertising solutions, and adapt product recommendations quickly to suit client needs - asking probing questions and overcoming customer objections and rejection will be critical to your success.

Education, Experience & Requirements:
- BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration (preferred but not required)
- Three to five years of sales experience.
- Remote work experience
- Ability to communicate via telephone and email.
- General computer and email proficiency - we use Google Suite and HubSpot.
- Presentable and confident in face-to-face meetings.
- Able to build rapport quickly over the phone or face to face.
- No fear of the phone
