Regional Marketing Manager
Description
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Regional Marketing Manager to run local marketing for
Embarc Sacramento and Embarc Fairfield. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of hyper-local marketing strategies for in-store, paid and field to increase brand awareness, new customer acquisition, and drive sales. The ideal candidate is skilled enough to handle a bit of ambiguity, create actionable marketing plans, and follow through with execution.
This position reports directly to the Marketing Director and indirectly to the General Manager and Chief Brand Officer. The Regional Marketing manager will be responsible for managing 3-4 stores.
Responsibilities
- Develop hyper-local marketing strategies that attract new customers and gain the trust of locals and tourists alike
- Protect the brand vision, mission and values while ensuring all marketing efforts align with business needs and community
- Manage and maintain your store’s online menu. Gamify and update all menus; ensure menu consistency, move aging inventory, and use data to inform decisions
- Plan and schedule monthly promotions in-store based on expiring inventory, fresh drops, pop culture moments, etc.
- Understand your customer and community. Run pricing analysis, identifying key trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Participate in the development of the editorial calendar and create actionable marketing tactics for your locations
- Develop in-store content that highlights the local team, store and communities
- Oversee your locations social and digital accounts, consistently posting to build following and increase brand awareness
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of progress
- Work with Partnership Director and Marketing Director to launch successful activations and product drops
- Drive successful execution of global marketing strategies
- Work with Marketing Director to produce creative assets for in-store marketing needs
- Oversee visual merchandising in-store
- Build strategic relationships and partner with local businesses, influencers, and vendors
- Increase retention and sales by sending compelling text messages and emails
- Use customer and sales data to properly segment and target messaging
- Maintain your store’s brand integrity online (Google, Yelp, Weedmaps, Leafly, social)
- Monitor and review data in domo, Treez, and headset and present Marketing Director and General Manager with actionable recommendations to improve business success
- Research community happenings to capitalize on marketing opportunities
- Build out weekly events at your shops that engage customers and drives sales
- Post digital content that engages customers and builds community.
- Coordinate Field Marketing initiatives and participate in local events
- Consistently analyze data to make informed decisions
- Complete reports to surface insights and provide action plans to Marketing Director
- Work with Marketing Director to maintain SOPs
Basic Qualifications:
- You must be 21+ to apply for this position.
- Event marketing and cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation, computer, and cell phone
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a background check

- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with basic company software (excel, docs, gmail, etc).

Job Responsibilities
- Support full cycle general ledger monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Work with operations and inventory to manage day-to-day, and monthly accounts payable activities to ensure seamless operations that are in compliance with internal controls, external audits, and US GAAP
- Support full-cycle payroll, including reconciliations
- Support intercompany loan and transfer balance schedules and reconcile these accounts regularly
- Bank account reconciliations
- Manipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from different data sources such as Wurk, Treez, Expensify, and corporate credit cards
- Prepare complex journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare supporting documentation for annual audit
- Assist in maintaining all Corporate records and accounts
- Prepare periodic annual Property, Sales Use, Excise and Other tax calculations and submissions and ensure taxes are paid correctly and on time
- Help develop, improve, and document accounting policies and procedures, including cash policies
- Continually look for ways to improve your function (improve workflows, automation, etc.)
- Support company FP&A efforts with spend forecasting and budget variance analysis, as well as planned capital expenditures
- Support banking/financial institution activities
- Facilitate and maintain cross-departmental relationships (operations, FP&A, management, inventory)
- Work on ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as needed
- Work on building company finance infrastructure
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with full-cycle accounting in which you owned the day-to-day and monthly
- accounting processes
- Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software, experience with Wurk or Treez cannabis software a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite, including advanced excel skills such as pivot tables, sumifs, etc.
- C.P.A. is preferred
- Public accounting experience is a plus
