If you are interested in working hands-on in the cannabis industry then join our team! Our demand has spiked significantly in Q1 2020 and we are seeking to fill positions quickly to increase our production capabilities to meet demand. Our products are crafted from premium ingredients combined with California cannabis extracts and our primary product category produced is chocolate so any experience working with chocolate is a huge plus.
Production Associates are to participate in our edibles production process from infusion to packaging. This position is demanding, repetitive, and requires standing for long periods of time, lifting 50 lbs, requiring a high attention to details and working with high level production equipment and technology.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Production and packaging of a variety of edible products.
- Daily production of recipes including: fillings, syrups, truffles, chocolate bars etc.
- Assist with piping/injection of fillings into chocolate molds
- All positions require light cleaning (Including the CEO)
- Assisting with daily production and inventory logs and reports
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Helping out wherever needed. We jump across departments and positions to complete tasks. This could include tempering, cutting, packaging etc.
- Support all areas of manufacturing by ensuring a clean and safe work environment, inspecting all products for quality, helping with de-molding, packing, and the assembly of items for distribution.
- Complete tasks efficiently to meet or exceed daily quotas for packaging
- Inspect packaging and products to guarantee they are free of flaws and assembled correctly
- Understand the needs of the company and work with team members to achieve goals
- Clean and sanitize work area, practice good food safety handling techniques at all times
- Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
Requirements & Qualifications
- MUST be age 21 or over - California residency with valid ID is required
- Current copy of California Food Handlers Card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to lift up to 50 Pounds
- Working with cannabis a plus
- Attention to detail and organization is required
- Previous food manufacturing and kitchen experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written.
- Ability to read, comprehend recipes and basic instructions such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Maintain the production pace of other team members
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a stationary position for 75% of the shift
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for an extended period of time
- Must have excellent manual dexterity and personal hygiene
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
