Position: The Molecular/Microbiologist will primarily be responsible for preparing, running, troubleshooting, and analyzing cannabis samples, utilizing standardized and in-house lab methodologies.
Duties include:
· Sample preparation for qPCR, Microarray, and culture methods
· Set up, operate, and troubleshoot modern instrumentation.
· Maintain ISO 17025 standards of performance.
· Demonstrate leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills. Formulate and clearly communicates ideas, both verbally and in writing.
· Works independently with little guidance as well as provide support and training for others in a team environment.
· Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained and in good working order.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work area.
· Ensure high quality standards are met through performing calibrations, quality checks, and proficiency programs.
· Maintain an accurate notebook and logbook.
· Strictly follow all safety procedures and documents.
Qualifications:
· · 2 years Molecular/Microbiology lab experience (Cannabis knowledge/ lab experienced preferred).
· · Experience with data analysis and LIMS.
· · Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
· · Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
