Cannabis Testing laboratory based in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Microbiologist Technician to join their growing team.
The Microbiologist Tech's focus will be on utilizing qPCR techniques to detect and quantify biological contamination in cannabis products, including testing for bacteria, mold, and environmental issues.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological tests on cannabis related samples
- Maintain clean and safe work environment by maintaining aseptic methods and protocols; following standards and procedures, while complying with legal regulations
- Prepare cultures by obtaining in-process and finished product samples
- Perform microbiological tests such as total coliforms, enterobacteria, salmonella, total plate count, etc.
- Utilizing qPCR for identification and quantification
- Identify microorganisms by conducting microscopic examinations, document results entering data in LIMS
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations
- Develop new microbiological methods not currently online at the laboratory and write standard operating procedures for them in conjunction with state regulations
- Follow strict Quality Assurance operations according to state regulations
- Follow GLPs and GMPs.

Hiring Position:

- Extraction Lab Assistant
We are seeking a full-time Extraction Lab Assistant for our location in Clackamas
Position Summary: As a Lab Assistant you are responsible for the extraction of cannabis for cannabis products in accordance with Oregon laws and regulations and standards set by Bobsled. Responsible for communicating known issues to the management team and must be able to follow standard operating procedures within the facility.
Requirements:

· Preparation of cannabis flower for extraction, including but not limited to logging the information of each batch, destemming and breaking down frozen biomass.
· Filling the extraction equipment with solvent.
· Clean and dry the equipment after each batch.
· Inspect the machine or equipment for operational integrity to ensure that the instrument and receiving vessels are clean and free from residual plant matter from the previous match.
· Perform a visual inspection of raw plant material to ensure that only the highest quality flower is used.
· Bring any discrepancies in quality to the Extraction Engineer.
· Perform quality checks on the finished cannabis products.
· Wear personal protective equipment required to operate each machine.
· Prevent cross-contamination and manufacturing fumes from being incorporated into the extracted substances.
· Follow standard operating procedures.
· Accurately weigh and record all products in our inventory tracking system.
· Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the processing area.
· Communicate clearly and often to group platforms for daily updates.
Qualifications:
· Cannabis extractions concepts and market knowledge is preferred.
· Able to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude
