The Valuation Manager is responsible for overseeing various phases of project management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include planning, delegating, and completing valuation engagements and related services provided by the Valuation Advisory Services team. The Valuation Manager will work closely with the engagement partner/ supervisor and staff and plays an active role in client management, practice development and business development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, delegate and execute valuation engagements to completion for financial reporting, tax, and corporate/strategic planning purposes within a variety of industries, including (but not limited to): technology, life sciences, consumer products, hospitality, manufacturing & distribution, construction, cannabis and healthcare.
- Work with engagement partner/supervisor on all aspects of VAS engagements and coordinate with personnel across service lines.
- Serve as the day-to-day point person on engagements; clearly communicate conflicts, delays, issues and findings to supervisor and client in a timely manner.
- Mentor, supervise, train and develop staff; provide performance feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, promptly respond to client communications, and look for opportunities to cross-sell services.
- Be actively involved in business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, industry practice groups, outside organizations, conferences, and thought leadership material.
- Work closely with team members at all levels to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues.
- Communicate (verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients at all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence
- Meet or exceed goals for participation in networking events and meeting with or otherwise staying in front of referral sources.
- Contribute to improving internal processes, procedures, policies, analyses, and models.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Have or be in the process of obtaining ASA, CFA, CEIV, CPA/ABV or related valuation credentials
- 4+ years of experience with valuations of business entities and interests, intangible assets, purchase price allocations for financial reporting, transactional/corporate planning, and tax purposes, with a Big 4, Top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, or national valuation firm.
- Demonstrated experience and strong technical background in fair value measurements and reporting (e.g., ASC 805/IFRS 3, ASC 350, ASC 718).
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause determination skills.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple engagements simultaneously with competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial accounting, US GAAP, SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work as a part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.

As a CFO Advisory Director, you will be joining a professional collaborative team with unique technical backgrounds from public accounting, private industry, consulting and finance. Your responsibilities will primarily be to manage the day-to-day activities of projects (from prospecting, engagement oversight, methodology/approach, coaching, staff development, and client follow up) and staff.
As a Finance Transformation Director, you will pursue and lead engagements covering the following expertise areas:
- Finance Function Assessment & Roadmap

- Onboarding new clients on our Managed Services Operations (MSO) Platform
Responsibilities
- Identify leads, capture, and lead finance function assessments / rapid diagnostics, finance transformation roadmaps, and post-merger integration solutions engagements.
- Serve as key leader in the CFO Advisory and Finance Transformation practices
- Lead engagement teams responsible for reviewing the current state of a companies’ finance and accounting processes and advising on solutions around increasing efficiency and effectiveness across organization people, process, and technology.
- Manage a portfolio and be responsible for engagement economics by organizing staffing, monitoring actuals to budgets and serving as a conduit between client and the engagement leadership.
- Assess, mature and optimize internal practices and standardize delivery methods.
- Build strong internal relationships within the CFO and the advisory group.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and develop a strong market presence/reputation.
- Lead business development initiatives.
- Lead people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, developing, coaching, and training staff.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in consulting, professional services, or development role at financial services firms. Experience within accounting firms, investment banking or private equity firms, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or banking industry preferred.
- Significant knowledge of accounting and finance best practices and experience participating in, or leading, transformation projects to help clients optimize all elements of their accounting and finance organization.
- Demonstrated experience with: refining organizational design; business process analysis and process mapping to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and control of transactional and decision support processes; consolidations and shortening the financial close; implementing financial close and account reconciliation technology; designing and implementing corporate performance management – budgeting, planning and forecasting processes and technology; accounting systems optimization; and improving management and external reporting.
- Experience designing and implementing shared-services and outsourcing solutions, as well as change management, a plus.
- Prior experience managing, developing and coaching a staff of consultants
- Client relationship management (CRM) experience required
- BS/BA required, MBA a plus
- 7 years of practical work experience with a consulting firm and business development experience in a professional services environment required
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities
The Assurance Senior works directly with Managers and Partners of the firm. We help our Assurance Senior Associates grow and develop their career through collaborative workgroups and mentoring across peers and managers. Seniors are instrumental in mentoring and developing Associate level staff, and is the primary lead on client engagements walkthroughs, reviewing work papers, and helping to identify/resolve audit issues. Your focus will initially be on the following 3 areas:

Assurance Senior Associates review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, and work papers. They demonstrate professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations. The Assurance Senior effectively analyzes client transactions, recognizing potential or existing problems, conducts appropriate research, and works closely with managers on resolving the issue. Specific duties include:
- Understanding the purpose of accounting and general ledger recording procedures.
- Performing accounting procedures and/or tax applications in accordance with firm standards and in an accurate, thorough and timely manner, including proposing journal entries to client general ledgers
- Serving as the Engagement Lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable
- Developing a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules
- Monitoring project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to managers and/or partners
- Developing a professional relationship with the client and serve as the primary point-of-contact
Required Skills:

This individual plays a critical role in driving the growth of the firm’s largest sector by supporting marketing program execution across four (4) sectors: Commercial Real Estate, Affordable Housing, Construction and Cannabis.
As a member of the Portfolio Marketing Team at CohnReznick, the Real Estate Marketing Coordinator will coordinate events and association relationships to help differentiate our brand and service offering, facilitate lead generation, and communicate the impact of marketing programs to all stakeholders. This position reports to the Real Estate Industry Marketing Leader.

You will be responsible for:

Event Program Execution:
- Provide event coordination including maintaining sponsorship agreements, creating drive to event strategy, and coordinating on-site business development activity.
- Assist in creating and executing digital events such as webinars and virtual roundtables while adhering to established processes and best practices.
- Support lead generating “roadshow” programs; coordinating with Field Marketing to execute the program and track impact.
- Understand CPE requirements for hosted events and apply firm procedures to ensure participants receive their credits

Association Relationship Management & National Strategy
- Develop relationships with trade associations to explore, propose, and negotiate yearly programs. Communicate ROI to CohnReznick advocates and the organization.
- Research and respond to call for papers at relevant industry events.
- Build speaker qualifications and positions to secure speaking opportunities at targeted conferences
- Support ROI capture using the firm’s CRM system.
- Coordinate with event attendees to identify lead acquisition opportunities and support program ROI by capturing/recording data within the firm’s CRM system.
- Coordinate with corporate marketing and marketing operations teams to maximize press and social media opportunities surrounding events and association participation.
- Maintain the marketing calendar for these practices.
- Support the practice in maintaining marketing dashboards and databases in CRM for key clients, targets, and referral sources.
You will need:
- 2+ years marketing experience, professional services experience a plus
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- An understanding of event marketing with a history of producing tangible results, professional services marketing experience a strong plus.
- An inquisitive self-starter who is both willing to learn and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A people-person and team player who collaborates effectively with marketing, sales, and client service professionals.
- Superior Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with CRM, Microsoft Teams, Marketing Automation, and Marketing Project Management (e.g., Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics, Workfront) a plus.
- Knowledge of the real estate industry or any sub-sectors is not required, but a strong plus.

Reporting to the Real Estate Portfolio Marketing Lead (Industry Marketing Lead), the Real Estate Marketing Specialist implements campaigns and help oversee content programs that drive awareness and lead generation in support of the industry marketing plan. As a member of the Portfolio Marketing Team at CohnReznick, the successful Specialist will be well versed in content marketing, have experience contributing to marketing campaigns using inbound and outbound marketing methods, and have demonstrated the ability to build strong working relationships with industry practice professionals, business development, and marketing to maximize visibility, engagement and lead generation from existing clients and targeted accounts.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Industry Marketing Lead and marketing operations team with campaign planning and message development.
- Working with the content team and the industry marketing lead to assist in developing the content strategy for the real estate and cannabis industries
- Coordinating with practice leaders, business development and marketing teams to identify content opportunities. Secure earned media via key trade associations and media outlets
- Overseeing the development, execution, and internal and external promotion of a monthly Affordable Housing Newsletter and podcast series in conjunction with the content team.
- Engaging partners to build stronger social media networks and drive campaign content through their networks
- Supporting the Industry Marketing Lead and marketing operations team on marketing automation deliverables including e-mail content and list criteria.
- Collaborating with the Industry Marketing Lead and other marketers on national and regional event program development and execution.
- Analyzing data and KPIs to communicate performance to the Industry Marketing Lead.
- Assisting in developing and maintaining marketing collateral including sell sheets, capabilities decks, datasheets, client references, sales tools, web pages and case studies.
- Developing internal education programs to drive cross-selling opportunities, marketing programs available to support business development initiatives, recent wins/success stories/awards, and public speaking opportunities.
You will need:
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in Marketing, Business or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional services marketing experience, management consulting experience a plus

Duties include but not limited to:
Research tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance.
Review tax returns and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations and other relevant authorities/guidance.
Draft tax technical memorandums.
Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable development.

Responsibilities
The Assurance Senior Associate works directly with Managers and Partners of the firm. We help our Assurance Senior Associates grow and develop their career through collaborative workgroups and mentoring across peers and managers. Seniors are instrumental in mentoring and developing Associate level staff, and is the primary lead on client engagements walkthroughs, reviewing work papers, and helping to identify/resolve audit issues. Your focus will initially be on the following 3 areas:
- Audit and Accounting
- Task and Engagement Management
- Personal and Professional Development
Assurance Senior Associates review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, and work papers. They demonstrate professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations. The Assurance Senior effectively analyzes client transactions, recognizing potential or existing problems, conducts appropriate research, and works closely with managers on resolving the issue. Specific duties include:
- Understanding the purpose of accounting and general ledger recording procedures.
- Performing accounting procedures in accordance with firm standards and in an accurate, thorough and timely manner, including proposing journal entries to client general ledgers
- Serving as the Engagement Lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable
- Developing a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules
- Monitoring project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to managers and/or partners
- Developing a professional relationship with the client and serve as the primary point-of-contact
Required Skills:
- Education: BS/BA accounting; CPA designation or eligibility to sit is highly desirable
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of audit & accounting experience in a public accounting arena
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS
