We are offering an opportunity for a highly experienced horticultural data analyst to help our company improve our technology through critical data collection and analysis from our projects. Our data manager shouldpossess several years of experience in managing the collection, organization, analysis, and identification of outcomes in the horticulture industry. Candidate to be located in Ontario, Canada, or Western New York. We offer a competitive base salary and bonus plan.
His / her role and responsibilities and ideal qualifications
Role and responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Operation Manager
- Design and establishment of a data management system for both client and R&D projects
- Collection of data from clients and R&D partners in a timely manner
- Organization of collected data using software that enables critical analysis
- Critical analysis of data to recommend adjustments and improvements to the technology
- Presentation of data and analysis to the management team for discussion
- Provide horticultural advice to clients when needed with respect to our technology
- Creating 2-D CAD drawings of project designs
- Traveling within NA up to 10% of the time for onsite data collection, monitoring, and learning
Qualifications:
- University or technical college degree in data analysis with horticulture courses
- Minimum of 3 years of data analysis, preferably in the horticulture industry
- Proficient in English (Spanish as a 2nd language would be a benefit)
- 2-D CAD proficiency
- Programming/coding skills would be an asset
- Ability to work and communicate with clients and academic institutions
- A self-starter comfortable working remotely
- Highly computer literate, e.g., comfortable with data software, CAD, and Microsoft office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail

- Reporting to the Operation Manager
- Design and engineer of greenhouse irrigation and misting systems
- Continual improvement of the technology by integrating new and innovative parts
- Construction/installation supervision – in person and virtual
- Procurement, inventory, shipping and logistics of parts from suppliers to customers
- Building supplier and vendor relationships
- Understanding of cost and project budget accounting
- Providing detailed and accurate project implementation planning and execution of project plan
- Integration of sales team into project interface
- Traveling within NA up to 10% of the time for project oversite and monitoring
Qualifications:
- Degree or college diploma in engineering, logistics management, business management, horticulture or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of project management professional or qualifying to attain PMP
- Proficient in English (Spanish as a 2nd language would be a benefit)
- Experienced in greenhouse irrigation / misting systems project design and installation
